We adopted Winston, a mini poodle mix from the shelter in August. They said he was about a year old. So cute and rambunctious! He loved to play, fetch and play with toys. I never even thought about training except when I took him for walks he pulled like he was hunting! Very annoying. He was also reactive to other dogs, usually the big ones. He also seemed to have a lot of separation anxiety which made me sad to leave him alone. I heard about a doggy day care in town so I took him there (he had a lot of fun with my daughter’s dog). He had so much fun. The owner was also a dog trainer and he told me Winston was a very smart dog who learned very quickly. I even had him help me with walks with Winston. It worked great when he was around but not when I was alone walking with Winston. He said that I needed to be calm and confident, which apparently I wasn’t! When I saw Doggy Dan explaining about the Dog Calming Code, I knew that was what I needed! Since using the 5 rules, Winston is so much calmer! I love Dan’s videos too. I was really happy to see the one Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, because now Winston sleeps a lot and I know that means he’s happy! I still have some work with his walking but all in all, this course has been a godsend! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to train their dog. I know a lot of people who try to live with their dog’s bad habits, which seems ridiculous when this program is so simple and they could have a well behaved pet. Thank you, Doggy Dan, for your awesome program!

Paid for extensive training package. Getting more advertising from them but there is no help with problems. I actually can't access the training lectures. Spend hours trying to resolve the matter but company doesn't communicate with me.

i can'ty even get on the website, that i paid for too confusing

I have been using this program for about a month now and see very little difference in my reactive dog. My walks are not calmer, and I have been doing everything by following what the program says to do. What is really bothersome is that I keep getting emails for my feedback with a section to ask questions and have provided questions but no response. It appears to get assistance from actual trainers you have to spend more money, and I find that very unacceptable. I should have access to actual trainers to discuss the problems I am having with the program. Otherwise, why pay at all and not just YouTube training for reactive dogs? Very disappointed and would not spend the money again.

After a loud New Year’s Eve, Boo! had been shutting down every evening since, wide-eyed and nervous, even though there was no noise. Within days of beginning the Calm Code that improved. I had tried various techniques from a half dozen YouTube trainers with minimal results. I am so grateful I followed my gut when Dan’s YouTube video popped up.

The runt chose me.

My white German Shepherd came into my life carrying anxieties I didn’t yet understand. From the very first day, he showed me he would be a challenge — and a teacher.

Not long after, I moved to a new location where a small black Chihuahua, whose owner could not keep him on a leash, tried to attack my dog several times while he was only about six months old. Those experiences deeply affected my puppy and left me feeling desperate for answers.

I searched everywhere. I watched countless trainers and even spent money on in-person training, but nothing truly worked… until one day, in a moment of desperate prayer, I found Doggy Dan and his teachings on dog psychology.

That word immediately caught my attention, because psychology runs in my family. I began with his free videos and saw real changes in my dog, but I knew there was still something more I needed to understand.

After watching his free webinar on Facebook, I decided to invest in his full program. It became the best $97 I have ever spent in my life.

Doggy Dan taught things I had never heard from any other trainer. As I followed each phase of his training and applied what he shared, I watched my dog transform before my eyes. The wolf pack mentality changed everything.

It took about three weeks for true change to take hold — mostly because I realized I had made mistakes along the way. But through patience, awareness, and consistency, my puppy became a completely different dog.

My puppy will be one year old on February 8, 2026, and I am so proud to say I am now the owner of a calm, confident, and well-behaved dog.

This journey didn’t just train my dog…

It trained me.

We immediately saw results. Our house is quieter and calmer after just a few days. We still have lots of work to do. My sweet 8# yorkie turns into the Tasmanian devil when she sees this one dog. Today I used the “freeze” and it was AMAZING.

This is helping give me and my service dog pack a leg lift up. Wish I could afford more, but living on a fixed income makes it not possible. Wondering if there are ever any scholarships available for people like me. Thanks.

Our Bernese Mountain puppy gets very happily hyper around new people and other dogs, he was responding to recall only when he felt like it, and was biting in typical sharp-toothed puppy fashion, resisting .being put on a leash, etc. At 40 pounds and and likely to exceed 80, we, in our older years, were desperate for some discipline.

The principals and techniques we found on this site about a week ago have turned this puppy around. When I called him this morning, he ran so fast to find me, he overshot where I was and had to backtrack, looking for me. Even outside and off leash, he is consistently coming when called. We're still learning to be leaders and trying to be consistent, but we now have tools that work.

I told my neighbor, who has a small yappy dog that urinates on my shoes every time he greets me, about it yesterday. My neighbor said the barking was much belter after he tried Dan's method. He'll be working on the exuberant greetings. 😂

Been trying for a long time to quell the barking with several training programs with not much luck. After a few days following Doggy Dan's program, my dog barks less and doesn't jump up to greet me when I enter the house (2 year old Shetland Sheepdog). She seems to be a lot calmer. I highly recommend Doggy Dan!

Love the program and the approach based on dog psychology vs pure training. Simple 5 rules. Do not like the constant sales/ upgrade/ etc. That pop up all the time even when you purchased the program and while doing the program. Very annoying.

Had dogs for years and have learned by trial and error. I have similar views on training as Doggy Dan so as I had a couple of issues decided to give him a try. I have only been using his method a few days and the changes are there. We are sticking rigidly to the '5 golden rules' and controlling the food is a game changer. I only have rescue dogs so most come with baggage and over the years I have tried different things for different problems but none have produced the results like now. I cannot recommend Doggy Dan highly enough. The key is consistency from all family members and persistence. Its usual to say, don't expect changes over night but this is as close the that as you will get.

Just after 3 days of doing less than I've done so far, I've got a completely changed dog. You have to be nuts to read all these reviews and not to enroll.

I have 2 large dogs that fight on occasion and recently with one needing stitches. In the last week with just implementing the 5 golden rules (not perfectly yet), we have noticed a huge shift already in the male dog who is extremely reactive to everything and anything. I can’t wait to dive in deeper! Thanks Doggy Dan!

I’ve noticed a huge difference in my Cavoodle. She is calmer and doesn’t jump up on me when I return home anymore and that’s just after a week.

I haven’t finished the course yet but so far I really like it and I am seeing small improvements in my dog.

10 days into Doggy Dan’s Dog Calming Code training program and I am amazed at how quickly my 6 year old Pointer mix has responded. While some of the Rules are more difficult to assimilate than others, when combined together they make so much sense. Looking forward to taking advantage of all the content and resources offered to ultimately attain a calm, relaxed, and rewarding bond with my pup.

I’ve noticed a difference in Toffi (3 & 1/2 year old Cavoodle) in the first week - calmer, less barking & much more chilled. I’m also much calmer & have forgiven myself for the odd slip up - usually happens when I’m in a hurry!

We have a rehomed Papillion who would like to rule the roost. However the application of the 5 Golden Rules have made it clear who is in charge. As a result we have a happier wee dog. Definitely recommend Doggie Dan for everyone.
