I am doing the Certificate course
I am doing the Certificate course. I wanted to see how I went with going back to study. I have found this good and have learnt a lot but for me may not have been as challenging as I had hoped and the Diploma course may have been better. The only bit I don't like so much is I fell there is a lot of reading (good reading) but a lot to get through - this would be the only time I would say it would be good to have some more videos covering things instead of reading it all.

Fantastic Course
I've grasped the basics of photography for a long time, however this course has given me so much practical advice that I've been able to apply to improve my photography. There are so many explanations as to why we encounter specific scenarios in photography and how to work with them. The way each module is marked also feels very personalised.

An Eye-Opening Journey into the World of Photography
Taking this photography course has been one of the most enriching experiences for me. Educational & Fun Learning Experience
Since starting the Diploma for Photography course, I have enjoyed every bit of it. Interesting and informative, all material is easy to read and understand. I like that I can download and save all course material and can refer back to it at any time. Teachers and Student Support respond quickly to messages and I love that there are course extensions offered if I run out of time. I am more than happy to recommend The Photography Institute to anyone thinking of doing a course in photography. It is well worth it.

Content heavy
Overall the course has been a positive experience, enabling me to complete lots of practical work and learn more about photography techniques and the field itself. I am more of a visual learner however, so the reading involved has been a bit difficult to process at times. Including some video modules may be an alternative way to offer informative information in the future.

I am loving the course so far
I am loving the course so far. It is in-depth and motivates me to do further research. I love how the assignments have a practical aspect and you have to put what you have learnt into practice rather than just theory.

This is a great course
This is a great course! I have learned a lot. My tutor is helpful and always replies quick, and his feedback is honest and helpful.
What I would have liked more about this course thus far is learning more about the "nitty gritty" things, like angles on how to take photos, how to structure the lights and from which angles, do's and don't. Things I can do to make my photos better without getting to complicated.
Other than that, it really is a great course.

Working at own pace
Being able to work through at my own pace as "life" allowed meant that I could work to my own timeline. Having awesome support from the tutor (only being a quick message away when I had a query) made this possible.

I enjoyed the assignments but...
I enjoyed the assignments and found them really valuable, but the course involved a lot of reading, which made it harder to fully absorb and understand everything. I learn best through hands-on experience, so the assignments were the most effective part for me.

Really happy with the course layout and…
Really happy with the course layout and that it take such a structured step by step approach. It has really been informative, I’ve definitely learnt alot! My only feedback otherwise would be that the extension modules be a bit more affordable, but otherwise I’m happy!!

A well structured and informative course that tells you far more than any YouTube channel or even paid tutorial. If you are serious about your photography then this course takes you through how to think as a photographer, rather than just what settings and editing techniques to employ.
