Charles provided a very professional service in preparing and submitting a Capital Gains Tax Return to HMRC regarding the sale of our property. Throughout, he was very fast to respond regarding both the work itself and to any questions that arose. Although the 60-day deadline may seem like a generous allowance within which to make the submission, it transpired to be quite tight, so having someone with Charles’ expertise and responsiveness proved to be invaluable. The fee charged was competitive and good value and the report provided was extremely comprehensive and professionally presented. I believe his expertise ensured we didn't pay tax that a general accountant without such specialist experience could possibly have considered due. Initial contact was rapid and I provided all the relevant information from my side. Then silence. I relaunched things and received a mail from Charles saying he had been ill but would prioritise my case the next day. I have yet to hear more from him and as my filing deadline was approaching I had to move to another company who handled everything within a week. It is unfortunate if Charles is indeed ill but it appears that communication within the company is poor. No one checked his workload to see what was pending. Or it is perhaps just him? A general enquiry on their contact form remains unanswered. Approach with care.
