Booked my car in for a service and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. I was contacted promptly with a clear explanation of inspection findings and itemised costs for me to approve. Work was carried out very thoroughly (including resolving a niggling fault with the rear washer jet) and the car was ready to collect later that day. I had a courtesy car too which was really useful as I had work commitments. After having used the Audi main dealer before this experience I can't recommend Vasstech Darlington highly enough, their efficiency is far superior. Although I didn't catch their names I would also like to mention the 2 girls in the office who are super friendly and very good at their jobs. Would highly recommend.

On 29thOctober 2025 VASSTech of Darlington started work on our VW TOURAN which had the cambelt/ timing belt broke. Alex, Nicholl and Naomi kept in touch almost every other day letting us know details of how repair work was going.
We live in Northern Ireland so information was very important for my wife and I. The work was complete in 4 weeks so we flew over to England to collect our car. Everything was great and all staff involved were very professional and very nice.
All I can say is VASSTech of Darlington went over the top to fix and help us the whole way through the ordeal.

Where to start? I live in North Wales, my son in Darlington, I am retired, my son works full time, I am his designated P.A.
He had been working in London, on return his Audi had a smashed window, as the MOT was due, I looked around for a garage that could work with the model and found Vasstech Darlington. From the start NIOMI looked after me, she found details of recovery drivers (the car wouldn't start) she advised, corresponded, telephoned, emailed, took and sent pictures, quoted and requested and made every step of what could have been a tortuous journey stress free. Had a brilliant experience with Vasstech Darlington after my SUV was advised, by the main dealer, to have an oil leak & would cost mega bucks to rectify. All the staff at Vasstech were extremely courteous & helpful & my vehicle was inspected promptly. Advised to return the vehicle the following week for a second inspection & informed there was no evidence of a current oil leak. Despite spending time & effort, I was advised there was no charge to which was amazed. I would recommend Vasstech Darlington 5* as they are genuine & efficient & a pleasure to deal with.

From start to finish vasstech dealt with a big fault with my car very professionally the girls taking the calls and emails where superb in contacting the warranty and getting things done as smoothly as possible, the mechanics are superb spotting faults I never knew existed without these guys I think I would still be chasing problems with my car, I couldn't recommend this company more highly, you pay for what you get and it was money well spent, I didn't get this service from the audi garage so I'm glad I used them, keep up the good work guys.

VW T4 2.5 From the start they were polite and helpful. My VW T4 had lost about 50% power after the timing belt was changed elsewhere. Lots of garages wouldn't touch it. Vasstech knew what the problem was (fuel pump timing) they fixed it. Van is running great now. Very professional l am very pleased

We had a problem with our VW Tiguan which had a warning light meltdown whilst we were on holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. A friend recommended Vasstech and we were able to get booked in the next day. Alex, the owner was able to identify the likely cause without even seeing the car, and it turned out she was correct, of course! More extensive work was needed, but all work was done for us promptly and we were able to resume our holiday. Great garage, friendly personable service. Shame we don’t live a bit closer!

One of the rear suspension springs broke on our 2014 Golf, leaving us totally stuck. I phoned Vasstech straight away, and amazingly they've booked us in and had it fixed only a few hours later! All inside an hour of labour charge too. Amazingly responsive and honest. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Absolutely shocking service! From the receptionist to ‘mechanics’ to the director. I took my transporter to vasstech last year with a sticking clutch pedal and an intermediate misfire, they had the van for over 4 WEEKS! Took £4550 from me and give me it back with the exact same faults still present! They threw parts at it (at my expense) in the hope it fixed it as they didn’t have a clue! You would have thought it was a fighter jet not a van the way they were going on.
I had to take it to another garage for the misfire to be sorted (fuel regulator) and after doing only 7000 miles the flywheel and clutch (that vasstech assured me was right even tho I insisted repeatedly I wanted them changing as I’d had the same issue with another van before and it was the flywheel) failed (massive play on flywheel with deep scores in plates all the way round) and the gearbox went with it. The gearbox which vasstech also claimed to have repaired which somehow their gearbox man diagnosed from a photo!?
Total cost is getting upto £5000 for full gearbox rebuild and new clutch and flywheel (the EXACT same things vasstech claimed to have changed/fixed) , court proceedings will be started when I get my final total costs.

DO NOT use these ‘specialists’!! They really really do not have a clue!

Outstanding service, great value and thorough.
After several garages failed to find an oil leak Vasstech not only found the problem they fixed it and provided a courtesy car. Car was valeted upon completion and the charges were amazing and came as a very pleasant surprise considering what had to be fixed and replaced.

I had an issue with the sound system in my Audi A4. My local garage had deleted the fault codes which made troubleshooting the issue a challenge. None the less Vasstech were able to diagnose the fault after an inspection. I went through my insurance provided and had VASSTECH perform the work. Gemma at VASSTECH provided awesome customer service, frequently updating me on the progress of the part order and liaising with the warranty provider. The car was in and out in a couple of hours and the fault now fixed. I will now use VASSTECH as my garage of choice for any repair works.

Excellent service, 2 weeks running- two different problems with my Audi. Away from home concerned about trusting a garage I hadn’t used before - well , what fantastic service. Highly recommend and Ruth at reception was exceptional.

I took my audi q5 into the main dealership where I purchased it from it was out if warranty and I had a problem with the tailgate sometimes it would open off the keyfob and sometimes not.
They informed me it was an electrical problem and the cost would be in the region of £500 which in my experience of their charges meant over ! It wasn't the end of my world so I declined.
I work in Darlington and just happened to mention it to a local car dealer he straight away told me to take it to Vasstech his exact words were they won't have you over like the main dealerships will.
I took it up to them and left the car within an hour they rang me and told me what the problem was and definitely less than £200 as they weren't 100% sure of the exact cost of the part.
The girls on reception were brilliant the mechanic was 1st class and the service I received was honest professional and a lot different to what I had experienced from the main dealerships.
I now have a company car and it has to go to the main dealer as part of the lease agreement otherwise I would be using Vasstech.

I needed a service as I had car warning lights flashing and was due to travel down south later in the week. I was booked in next day, everything sorted and new tyres fitted. the service from Alex and the team was first rate. Thanks again I will return. Highly recommended.

We’ve recently started using Vasstech. On Monday I had the misfortune to have my brakes malfunction whilst on the motorway. I carefully drove home and call Vasstech and explained the issue.
Gemma couldn’t have been more helpful. I brought my car (slowly!) over to the garage. A courtesy car was waiting for me so I was still able to go about my day. Within 24hrs my car was fixed and on the road.
Previous garages used wouldn’t have looked at the car for at least a week.
It might be a little more expensive but for that service it’s worth paying for.
Highly recommend Vasstech. Ruth, Gemma and the team are very professional and caring about each customer and their vehicle.

I have taken my Tiguan to VASSTECH since I first bought it and can't recommend them highly enough, they are the experts in VW group vehicles. Everyone is friendly, helpful and reliable and they know what they are doing, you just know that your car is in good hands... the best!

We have used Vasstech for over 10 years to service and MOT our VW cars. The service has always been exemplary. Knowledgeable and helpful office staff ...who are on a par with the car mechanics. (I'm too old fashioned to call them 'technicians').
