Great quality, I haven’t found biltong in the uk that compares to what you get in SA. But this definitely is the best I’ve had so far definitely order again.

Top bloke, great products, amazing service.
The owner is a super bloke, very knowledgeable and passionate about his products and what he does and also an interesting chat to have a general chit-chat with.
I've bought products when I met him at his stall at Chatsworth House Christmas Fayre, been to the shop which I didn't know was his, that was a fun coincidence and bought online.
The goods bought online were very well packaged, all recyclable packaging etc.
Very highly recommend.

Great biltong and brilliant customer service
I purchased one of the 2.5kg packs with mixed flavours and not only is it delicious, but when I had a problem with one of the packs I immediately received a call back from the owner who solved it for me. Really appreciate the great customer service and will be purchasing a lot more in the future.

Short Dated
The Beacon Sparkles I ordered arrived on time and no issue there at all. However, they arrived on 1st November 2024 with an expiry of December 2024 - this wasn't ideal to see.

Thanks for taking the time out to leave a review about what we.
Looking at the same batch that your order came from the Best Before Dates are the 21st December and the 15th December. Your order was placed on the 29th October and received by you on the 1st November.
We only have one batch of each flavour you received and these were the longest dated ones we have, these were received form our importers the week before on the 23rd October. When we order form importers we can only get what stock they have with the dates they have on them. We would love to able to get longer BBD dates on all our products but sadly due the nature of importing it can be a challenge from time to time.
Also please remember the Best Before dates are only a guide as to when they should be consumed. See below quote from the EHO re Best before dates.
"The best before date, sometimes shown as BBE (best before end), is about quality and not safety. After the best before date listed on a product, the food will be safe to eat but may not be at its best. Best before dates appear on a wide range of foods including:
frozen foods (such as peas, chips and ice cream)
dried foods (such as pasta and rice)
tinned foods (such as baked beans and canned tomatoes)
cheese
The best before date will only be accurate if the food is stored according to the instructions on the packagin".
Not to be confused with Use by Dates which are are about safety and not quality.

The best and most reasonably priced…
The best and most reasonably priced jerky I've ever purchased. Ordered 4 flavours, including the chilli and I still have PTSD to this day due to how spicy it was. The standard salt and pepper is amazing, but the salt and vinegar was a delicious surprise! Would highly recommend.

Just made my daughter’s day by getting SA crisps and sweets and her favourite chilli bites! The biltong is super moist and just the right spices! Oh and there is a little alcohol section that I took advantage of!!
