My experience was great
My experience was great, from the initial sales call to the window measurement meeting everything was done right the first time. The day of installation was great also when the team arrived on time and did an onsite window measurement to make sure all the windows they had were the correct size. Since installation I have not had any issues with my windows leaking or having any draft issues.

Unable to reach Thompson Creek repair schedule
Unable to reach Thompson Creek repair associate for three weeks. Had to contact manager to schedule repairs. Too many excuses from associate, lost phone, sick, on vacation for THREE WEEKS. It seems to me that repairs to their lifetime warranty take a back seat. Totally unacceptable for the prices they charge. This was covered by my insurance and no warranty involved except for Thompson Creek doing the repairs on siding after storm damage.

Our experience with Thompson Creek was like giving birth
Our experience with Thompson Creek was much like giving birth. It's painful at the beginning, but once the windows and door were done, most of that pain is forgotten and we get to enjoy the results.
In the beginning
- misinformation from sales person
- lack of concern for updating contact details , which had to be requested multiple times and caused multiple issues
- long gaps for updates
- lack of tracking deposits, account numbers, etc.
Installation: excellent
- on-time
- respectful of property
- efficient
- great workers and installed well
We're about to call for service as one window isn't closing quite right, so we'll see how service response is.

I had issues after the install. Called multiple times. Emailed multiple times. No one responded to me. Very disappointing.

Be sure to think even when your salesperson isn't.
They did a great job on my windows and then I bought a very expensive door. Apparently, they should have at-home samples to see how the color looks in real time, but my salesperson only showed me the internet color. I spent $9k for a door that was severely dark and with no refunds. On top of that, someone (not me) "chose" a hideous pairing color, that I had to have changed, An expensive and distressing mistake. (The date is an estimate)

Windows good…. Doors…. NotWindows are good…..so far
Windows are good…..so far. Cannot get this storm door right!!! Door quality is probably the best I’ve ever had but the fit is awful. I can’t even realize my savings from these beautiful, air tight windows because my door is far from air tight.

We contracted Thompson Creek to build…
We contracted Thompson Creek to build and install a storm door for our home. During my inspection after the install, I noticed a defect in the glass. The job foreman immediately said they would get that taken care of and install a new glass. The next day when I went to reinstall our security system doorbell (we were told by the foreman to let the caulk cure for 24 hours before reinstalling the doorbell), I noticed that the flashing around the door had been installed directly onto the existing door jamb and the wiring used to hardwire the security doorbell had been bound by the installation of the flashing around the storm door. This made it impossible to reinstall part of our security system. I have made five attempts in the past two weeks to have someone call me about these additional issues. I have been told on four occasions that the job Foreman will be given instructions to contact me. I have yet to hear anything. As a matter of fact, on my fifth call, I was actually told that no one would be contacting me. Therefore, I was left with no choice, but to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews from other customers concerning the lack of response from this company. My suggestion would be, find a different company who cares more about satisfying the customer, and not just collecting money and disregarding customer requests.

I used Thompson Creek to replace my… Gutters
I used Thompson Creek to replace my gutters over the summer. The installers were very professional and worked very hard and quickly to install my new gutters. However, after the installation, a customer representative called weeks later for the last payment and was very nasty.

The windows are subpar
The windows are subpar. The sales associate stated they were best made and could not find them any better, but I replaced my downstairs windows with another vendor over 14 years ago, and those seem to be made better, but I only had (2) installed on the upstairs, and they seem to be doing okay, but I wouldn't purchase any additional. My shower was also put in by Thompson Creek, and that, as well, was overpriced, and I should have looked more. Also started to see a few areas where the subway tile was chipped, and the clear coat sealant is starting to turn a little gray /yellow have to constantly clean.

I had three windows replaced a few…
I had three windows replaced a few months ago by Thompson. I have actually gotten unsolicited compliments on the kitchen window from guests who have been here. And the work was completed on time, and at a little more than half the price of another well known window maker.
