Beautiful dress and great customer service communication to inform the parcel location until it was delivered.

The shirt I ordered was very poor quality, badly cut and not linen as stated but poor quality cotton. I wanted to return it but was told the item which had cost £39.95 would cost £25 to return to China, as others have also written here. Nowhere on their website does it make this returns policy clear - this information is only given when you ask to return it.

loved the dress which i ordered-postage took 2 weeks though which i thought would have been quicker for delivery

I wish I’d read the reviews before buying a tunic top.. The fabric is thin, cheap rubbish. The item doesn’t look anything like the photo. Do not buy from this company.

Total SCAM they do not adhere to any customer rules and regulations. Quality is that of SHEIN in fact not as good! Do not purchase from this company you will not get your money back.

I'm so annoyed that I didn't read the reviews before I ordered from this scam website. The pictures on the website are nothing like the dresses I received. Poor quality, you wouldn't buy it from a jumble sale let alone the £64 I paid for 2 dresses. As all the other reviews have said they offer a refund less an extortionate £25 postage fee. Or a 10% reduction. I frankly don't want the dresses. I will be trying to claim a full refund and report the website as fraudulent and misleading. They are using an address in Amsterdam but post from China. Please please do not waste your money buying from Thomwood.

After seeing one reviewer launched a chargeback claim via their card issuer I did the same and my bank investigated, they issued a full refund. Thomwood then offered me a 20% refund, which I refused and asked for a full refund and no postage fee to return the item. I then got another email (from different person) advising me that they would issue a full refund and I can keep the dresses.

They will not return the money and say I have to pay the same amount to ship it to china as the item cost. I’m going to take this to ombudsman as it’s total illegal. Product was described as linen it is not and the colour is wrong. Absolutely shocking. Wish I had read the reviews. Do not touch this company

To follow up for anyone wanting to buy from this company. They absolutely refused to return my money saying I had to return it to China, costing more than the product. Luckily I paid by credit card. I contacted my card provider, explained that the product was not linen as advertised, sent a photo of the label, colour and original advertisement and they refunded my money. This would not have happened if I had not paid with.a credit card. So for all of you out there that have not been given a refund, check if your with PayPal or a credit card provider and good luck.

I ordered a size 20, which I sized up, just in case! The items that came were too small for my friend who is a size 12!

Well first of all the dress was ordered for a very special occasion and it took 4 weeks to arrive. The picture of the dress was lemon in a beautiful soft floaty fabric. The dress that arrived was 4sizes too big and the colour was cream not to mention the fabric being something I would not even wash my dishes with !! If I could up load photos you would seriously never buy from this so called company. My poor daughter has had her money taken and received an extremely poor quality product and been left with only days to try and find something else suitable. There were no return labels and once emailed we were told a refund would only happen on return of the dress which we understand but to be told we have to pay for the return when the item is absolutely nothing like they advertised and told it can take up to 9 weeks to receive a refund is a shambles this company should be shut down. Completely false advertising and taking young people money with no intention of delivering the items advertised. Please do not purchase from this company you will be so disappointed!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are scammers. They are selling items that do not look anything like the picture, poor quality Chinese made items that you cannot return.
After 14 days the dress I purchased for £55 arrived. It was the quality of a £10 dress with the pattern printed onto cheap material. When I requested to return it, they offered for me to keep it and have a 10% refund or store credit. I repeated my request for a full refund and was told that if I send it back (to China, where their manufacturer is) there is no guarantee it will get there and that I must pay the shipping fees which are £25 from the Uk. They send you a very cheerful email with these messages in but essentially are very underhand as they do not make the returns policy clear when you purchase items from the website. AVOID at all cost

Can’t return item unless you play postage to CHINA!! and no guarantee it will get refunded as it could take 8-12 weeks to get back there!! Only other option is store credit but still need to pay your own postage or 20% refund!!! Ridiculous

I unfortunately rush ordered then saw all of the awful reviews! My order has finally arrived. I want to send it back. What is people’s experience of them actually reviving it back? I would rather pay the fee to return than only get 10% back but has anyone had their return not make it? Therefore losing the cost and the cost to return the item?? Thank you!

Ordered what I thought were luxury pjs. The photo showed cotton pjs but no description of pjs material. I payed about £40 for the pjs.. for it to come with poor stitching and made from 100% polyester.. you can not call pjs “luxury” using 100% polyester. Shein quality clothes. Don’t order, don’t get scammed, photos don’t match the clothes.

The item I received in replacement for a previous one was much better. Fabric on point and the style was beyond description. Wore it to an event and everyone was asking where the I got it from. So happy. Customer service was fantastic. Keep the good work team.

After reading some reviews I was very sceptical about ordering but decided to chance it, and I’m so glad I did! The dress is just perfect! Looks amazing, quite a weight on the material and fully lined, I would absolutely buy from again. And delivery was quite quick, overall I’m impressed

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Dress was nothing like the image and trying to obtain a refund is a joke. They have stated £25 to send back to china and may take 8 weeks or more for the refund, if it is received at all.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Thomwood. What was promised as a smooth and professional process quickly turned into a frustrating and disorganized ordeal.

From the beginning, there was a lack of clear communication and accountability. Expectations were set that were not met, and follow-ups were either delayed or ignored entirely. What should have been a straightforward process was instead filled with unnecessary complications and a sense of disregard for my time and concerns.

Professionalism and integrity are key in any business interaction, and unfortunately, Thomwood fell far short of both. I had hoped for a respectful and transparent experience, but I left feeling let down and misled.

I would not recommend Thomwood based on my experience, and I sincerely hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their standards and approach in the future.
