Surprisingly forgiving re: something that was not their problem.

I bought a test kit for well over £100, and almost immediately had a personal issue meaning I needed to ask for a refund. The team at Thriva would have been within their rights to say no to me, because my refund was not for any fault in their business - it was on me. I received a lovely supportive email back from Holly to say, we can definitely do that, less £15 for the costs of the kit itself (which had arrived quite fast), if I could supply my postcode, etc, just to be sure they had the right account. I then forgot to reply for 6 weeks. Again, that’s entirely on me. I sent an email this morning apologising and offering the information, got one back not an hour later, and Thriva are honouring the refund. They didn’t have to be that decent with me, the issue is all from my side - but they were, and I feel it’s only fair to give them their credit where it’s due.

Excellent service

Monthly subscription theft

Used the service once so i could understand my markers. Then without realising they start to take 162.90 out of my account every month. After complaining they only gave me a partial refund and stated at minimum I would want this only once every 6 months or a year. 3 months later they took another £162.90 out of my account again. Not happy with this sneaky subscription style service.

Editing the review based on response from Thriva. Good that they recommend double-checking the subscription changes, but this recommendation was not given to me. I assume when I changed it, it would be done. I do appreciate the refunds given however this was not full refund, I was charged £15 per kit which was £45 for something I didn't use, or want, which was obviously explained with customer service the first time. The first time wasn't happy about still being charged £15, but accepted potentially my fault... the 2nd and third time not acceptable and being made to feel in the wrong and still being charged £30. My review still stands, just slightly more angry and disappointed with every interaction with Thriva.

When you contacted us, we were happy to help cancel your existing test and discussed moving from a 3 month to an annual subscription to better suit how often you'd like to test. We'd always recommend double-checking that any subscription changes have been saved in your account settings, as tests are dispatched automatically at each renewal.

I wanted to order several tests to do a…

I wanted to order several tests to do a comprehensive health check.. There was so much faffing around trying to figure out what I could order within the restraints of the sample bottles. I specifically chose Thriva because of the reviews and the autodraw device. Going to get blood drawn simply isn't convenient for me and I don't want to have someone come to my house either. The website was so difficult to use, I had to order each test separately instead of being able to add them all to the basket at once. I even had to Google some of the tests to find the Thriva page with them listed, it's like none of it is linked together, deliberately. Secondly, when you want to order multiple tests at once, you can't do it, you have to mess about doing a 'subscription', then pause it, then change all the tests and then re-start the subscription, then cancel it. Total mess around. Again, I think this is deliberately to confuse people and trick them into keeping a subscription they don't want. Then once you have managed to do that, there is no place on the website which shows easily what tests were part of each subscription and what the results were. It's such a pain, and very expensive..I wanted to do this as perhaps a 6 month or 12 month thing, but I'm reconsidering now!

Easy and informative

The new blood sample widget functions well. The sample was processed comfortably within the advertised turnaround time. The report is straightforward and easy to understand.

I recently tried Thriva and had a very positive first experience. The test kit arrived promptly, the instructions were clear, and the whole process was straightforward. I was particularly impressed with how quickly the results came back — I received comprehensive results within two days, which felt very efficient.
As someone new to the service, I found the platform easy to use and the results were presented in a clear, understandable way. I’m also due to have a blood test through my GP soon, so it will be interesting to compare both the results and the time it takes to receive them. Overall, a smooth and reliable first experience.

It is impossible to cancel

It is impossible to cancel this service. I have held a subscription against my will for about two years now. Every time they send me a test, I immediately send them an email trying to cancel the subscription. They say that I haven’t sent them the correct email under which the subscription was made. But it’s the only email address I’ve ever had. Apparently there’s no remedy for this situation other than bill me into perpetuity and send me tests that I do not use. Avoid it all costs.

We give all customers complete control to change, postpone or cancel their subscription at any time in the "Subscriptions" area of the account. You can cancel your subscription by going to https://thriva.co/manage/subscriptions and clicking 'Cancel subscription' at the bottom of the page.

If you're still having any difficulty cancelling your subscription, or if there's anything else we can do for you, please drop us an email to hello@thriva.co confirming the last 4 digits of your payment card used, your date of birth and your postcode used for delivery. With this information, we can try to find your Thriva account and look in to this for you.
