Timsons Avis 

My boots were soled and heeled atTimson inside the Tesco store on Newmarket Road Cambridge last March. After wearing them for a week the heels started coming off and the soles became unglued. I stopped wearing them and went back to Timsons after a couple of months (I dont live nearby) and explained what had happened. The guy shrugged his shoulders and said I should have brought them back within the first month and there was nothing he could do. They are, without doubt my most favourite ankle boots I have ever had, the comfort is incredible, so I tried to wear them again recently but was embarrassed into bringing them to a Timson locally when the soles almost came off and the heels were hanging by a single nail. This time I took them to the Lion Yard branch, next to Snappy Snaps although I had been determined not to use Timson ever again. There are no other shoe repairers in Cambridge that I could find. I have collected them today, looking like new! And, what completely bowled me over was the repair had been done for free! Both the man who took them in last Wednesday and the man who served me today could not have been more helpful, more polite, and apologetic about my previous encounter at Newmarket Road. They have restored my faith in the company and I shall use this branch only, forever more. Thank you guys. You made my day. I love my boots and almost threw them away because I thought they were irreparable! Sorry for the long message!

I visited the Sunbury branch to get some photos developed. The manager of the store was so helpful, friendly and cheerful it really lifted my day! Well done why can’t all store managers be like this?

Had a battery fitted & engraving on a watch at Timsons Eastbourne. Alex was very helpful and managed to do the engraving even though he was on his own & very busy. Couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Thanks Alex.

I’ve now had 2 pairs of shoes resoled and an excellent job was completed on them both. One pair was even completed while I was shopping.

Excellent service at Timsons (Morrisons, Horndean). Took in leather flip-flops to have one sole re-stuck. chap called Warwick did the job, but it wasn't 100% perfect, as far as he was concerned - he wouldn't charge me even though I insisted - How's that for great, honest service. Thank you

Timsons at stair foot, asked guy if they do mobile phone repairs, was very helpful they do repairs but my Huawei would need to be sent off.

Our local Timpsons in Newton Abbot Devon are wonderful, great service, nothing is too much trouble can not recommend high enough

cost me over £20 for my battery to get replaced on my watch, and it stopped working within 6 months. Overpriced, poor quality service, no wonder they are struggling

Even when on their lunch breaks they work! Key cutting was fast and not a bad price either!

I visited timsons at tesco in Ashby de la Zouch to have a key cut, the service I received was fantastic by Adam, even though it was a fairly small job the customer service was brilliant

I visit Timmons at Morrison’s totton. The cleaning is magnificent. My bedspreads sparkle and come back in very handy bags which I can reuse for so many things. Recently they have had an addition in the car park if jet cutting shoe repairs and at repairs. The gentleman is just amazing g. He’s so friendly. Very knowledgable and so proud to work for Timsons. I highly recommend Timsons. Pleasure to visit.

Always use timsons for years now. The whole experience was great the speed the available stores at all the big supermarkets. The offers on multi buys are great. The small shop experience with big store prices, won't use anyone else now.

Super quick and friendly, had left key abroad and needed help before work on. I say morning! Man at Timsons fixed the problem.

Sore assistant gave me prompt service and a good deal. I was very happy.

complete waste of time
I wanted a replacement car key as advertised in their Tesco store.
Contacted the store chap with all my details twice with all my details and was promised their guy would get in touch - never heard a thing!

Went on their website and left a complaint with head office - they never bothered to respond or chase it up.
Quite obvious it's a crap company run by crap executives who treat customers in a crap fashion.

Customer service - nil. Appalling response to three attempts to contact them and no response to a direct complaint - this demonstrates a company attitude that is the very worst.
I suggest avoid at all costs.
Tesco's name is sullied by association with this useless company - they deserve to go out of business and the sooner the better.

have contacted them several times regarding getting a house lock repaired/refitted - they never call back.
can't figure out if they're just incompetent or just don't want the business.
I notice they never answer the bad reviews on here so presume they just don't care that they offer crap service
I will just go elsewhere and suggest that others go elsewhere as well
don't bother with this lot - if they can't be bothered to call back I don't imagine they can be bothered to do a good job either

I have always bought good quality shoes in the correct belief that they will last a lot longer than cheap shoes. I am correct. £400 Cheaney's and same for Oliver Sweeney and Lobb's. Bought the Cheaney's and Lobbs 45 years ago.
Over the years collected 22 pairs and all are in tip top condition and were repaired by the manufacturer them selves for soles / heels or just by a good old fashioned cobblers for heels only.Never a problem.
However I was wearing a pair of my custom hand made Sweeneys whilst visiting the UK from my retirement home in Malta and staying in Faversham. I lost the rear hear quarter rubber which got taken of in part at the escalators in Gatwick. I was in Faversham for 3 days and on first day went into timson in Tesco to have the heels replaced. I asked for a leather heel with quarter tip and to nailed according to what exists and would pay extra for as good repair.
A TOTAL disaster.
I had a phone call to say that they could not fix the heel to my shoes the way I wanted them and that the supposed expert cobbler would come in to fix them correctly as the current operator was from another branch.I went in on last day of my visit in the morning to see my shoes on the floor with the heel semi stuck on and was told the expert cobbler couldn't make it. So I told the cowboy who attempted the simple repair to remove what he had started, which entailed removing the oversize new heel part.
He said the heel would not stick.!!!!!! and that he couldn't hand nail. This was the experts job who didn't arrive. So as I was flying out that afternoon I had to buy a cheap pair from Tesco to get me back home. (Three day trip only need one pair of shoes but had an old pair of trainers in UK to wear for walks to hand).
This company are not professionals at what they do when it comes to top quality shoes, but are good at repairing cheap £20 to £50 shoes.
Yes...buy shoe cream, polish etc and 'Ladies' have your high heels repaired with them because they can't screw that simple operation up. I had no real apology from them at the store.
So I will never go to them again and have told all my friends to avoid them like the plague. Research a independent cobbler and use them and you wont be disappointed. No young kiddies here being entrusted with quality shoes.
