This is the worst company I've ever had…
This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. They WILL rip you off. They won't take your card off of autopay after you cancel service and They will keep charging you double of what your original bill was when you had service with them.
Bought a fone with free ting for 30…
Bought a fone with free ting for 30 days. Service is spotty and slow. 2nd month, was charged $20. I can deal with that. 3rd month, they want $50. Definitely not worth it. Cancelled my subscription. Ting is refusing to send my money back and is talking about a final bill.you took my money 2 days ago and won't send it back. Now you say I have a final bill? THIEVES AND SCAMMERS! YOUR MANIPULATION TRICKS WILL NOT WORK WITH ME... SEND MY MONEY BACK NOW!

Customer service has greatly deteriorated
This used to be an excellent alternative to real mobile carriers, especially with all my terrible experiences with AT&T.
When Ting was a smaller company, they offered fast and excellent customer service, not to mention affordable mobile plans (including data).
Sadly, customer service has gone down the toilet, and I was so shocked by my recent experience with them that I started doing research and lo and behold they were bought out in 2020 (unknown to me until now) by a corporation (Dish) and that explains everything.
Anyhow, I had an emergency Internet outage this week and needed to use Ting on my Android phone as a mobile hotspot. The data usage Ting was showing for my account was different on different pages of their website. Also, it was NOT updating on a regular basis, making it impossible to monitor my data usage.
It literally took hours to get in touch with someone (Gerald), who was pretty decent but he didn't care less about the hassle I had trying to reach customer service that day.
My first attempt was Chat and no one was available. I was told, "Someone will get back to you," but that never happened.
Second attempt was I called and the computer said "Instead of holding, someone can call you back," so I opted for that.
Someone did call me back, a female named Vivesh (or something like that) with an accent so thick that I could not understand her. When I politely told her she had a thick accent and I could not understand her, she purposely hung up on me!
I called again and was put on hold (for nearly 40 minutes. In the meanwhile, while still holding on the phone, I got into a chat with Gerald who was able to clear up SOME but not all of my concerns.
This customer service experience was so horrific that I am drafting a letter to Ting CEO Elliot Noss.
If you never have to deal with customer service, this company is fabulous.
Ting is an Outstanding and Excellent Service
Ting is a great inexpensive mobile service! I have used Ting for 6 years and have had zero issues. The customer service has been the best that I have ever had. I bought iPhones for my daughters and didn't want to spend a fortune on phone plans. Connectivity and service has been spot on with Ting. I just called today and changed my plan and it was so simple.

Ting is ok.
We've used Ting for several years after ditching Sprint. The only thing Ting seems to do wrong consistently is SIM cards. I've ordered several SIMs for my phones when I've switched from Androids to Apples and back. Without fail, Ting always sends the wrong SIM and I have to contact customer service to send the right one. Other than that they really haven't been a pain to deal with. There are cheaper options out there and I will consider them if Ting's service decreases.

STEER CLEAR!!! Had Ting service for more than 5 years…
Had Ting service for more than 5 years and it was great UNTIL The Sprint/T-Mobile merger. At that time there was a disruption of service for more than a week and Customer Service couldn't be reached by phone, email, text or website chat. We moved to another provider in July 2023 and was CHARGED in August 2023 AFTER termination for a month's service. Requested a credit which was "authorized". Twenty days later still no credit received and contacts (can't call it Customer Service) keep pushing off the date (Allow 3-5 days, no allow 15 days, no allow 20 days.......) Assuming my credit will not be received...ever. Poor phone service, non-existent customer service, lies deceit and unauthorized withdrawal from my account. STEER CLEAR!!!
Poor customer service at Ting
I live in Canada and only come to USA occasionally for two to three weeks to visit family. In 2021 I bought Ting Mobile SIM card. Opened an account and received a credit. When I came back to Canada and called Ting to suspend the account until next visit to USA I specifically asked about the credit. I was assured that credit will stay on the account. On my next visit I was told that I cannot use my existing SIM card but rather need to get a new one. That was OK but they didn’t want to honour my credit. After some arguing they eventually reinstated the credit. However, on my current visit they categorically refused to credit my account back. Their argument was that I canceled the account. In fact I only asked to suspend it until my next visit. I don’t need Ting Mobile in Canada and I didn’t need to pay for account that was not in use. Sadly, their customer service is on a very low level. There are many companies besides Ting that can provide pre-paid or one month service for a reasonable price. Too bad Ting doesn’t value their loyal customers.
Ting is a fraudulent company
Ting is a fraudulent company I try to pay my bill in wouldn’t go through so I told them to cancel my service here come September they took 106.73 out my account without my permission when I call them they told me they can’t refund me my money back so I have to call my bank to file fraud charges smh….
Ting is a Bust
They received a single star, for their inexpensive cell phone plan....but that is all.
After filling out the application, I called the customer service line. Since they offer a plan with either T-Mobile or Verizon, I informed the service rep that I wish to have only the Verizon network. He sent out the SIM card.
I discovered that the SIM card was with the creepy and call dropping T-Mobile. When I called customer service, I spoke with some foreign gal. She would do nothing to helf me. Her explanation to fix this issue was convoluted. She told me I had to go to a Verizon office to fix this problem ! I suggested she sent out another SIM card [Verizon] and fix this issue on her side. She refused and kept repeating her silly instructions, despite the fact, that Ting created this problem. She must have begun to get frustrated with me and hung up. Not only dat, eh disabled the service, resulting in me not have cell service.
I went to a Verizon store to fix this issue, however, they had no clue. The second Verizon store told me I had to go lto a T-Slimball store, which I did, only to witness fourteen in line. I spent 1.5 hours running around, to fix a service issue they created.
I plugged in the old Verizon SIM card and had service again.
Folks, other than a cheap calling plan, this provider is not worth the price, as their customer service sucks = bigly. You would be well advised to find a finished and professional cell phone firm, because this one is not.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. I’ve had ting for 5 years and I think I’ve only been down once and then recently we experienced connection problems but it was resolved that same morning I called. Amazing people and so nice to work with

I used to get good customer service for ting
now they have moved their support overseas and I had a very bad customer experience.
took several hours to trouble shoot and no resolution
Bamboozled
I am SO SORRY I ever got involved with TING. Their quality went downhill drastically. They had no live links to the phone number to customer service. When I finally did break through, I got no cooperation after hours and hours with reps. They did everything they could to make it impossible to drop them---to the point that I finally had to change phone numbers to get rid of them for good.
I switch 2 month ago and still cannot…
I switch 2 month ago and still cannot get connect and when do do call yours phone service hang up me three time on me . is this the type of service that your company is operate with
Service full of leashes
Ting Mobile service was terrible. Switched to Ting from Sprint in June 2014. Data plans were very limited and overpriced. Most of the time, data service does not work at all, and customer service constantly gives a lame, canned response. Switched to Mint Mobile in July 2019 and never looked back. I regret not leaving Ting sooner.
Time to look for a new provider.
I’ve had Ting for several years. Their prices are some of the best and when you call support, you actually get someone without having to go through the 10 levels of voicemail hell.
Bad side. Pretty much every time we go into Canada, service stops for voice and internet. Today, they managed to restore voice but internet still isn’t working. Their solution, buy a SIM card. In addition, if I’m not using WiFi at home, cell phone service is iffy. It sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t.
Former Ting user-- but no more
I was a Ting user for almost a decade. Service was great and affordable at first. The last couple of years, my lefacy billing meant larger and larger cell bills (a few this year were over $400). I recently tried to switch plans which was a disaster. The change the plan on my backup phone snd totally disabled the phone I used most. I was emailing customer service so that it would be a smooth transition, but I was straight up given wring information about how immediate the change would be and when I get at least one phone working again. Apparently, Ting is going to continue billing for an extended amount of time. "Immediate" is a lie. I fully supported Ting and even referred family. But never again. Not worth the excessive bills and incompetent customer service.
Ting is unmaintained and support is almost nonexistent
I had an issue with my SIM card and it needed to be replaced. I ordered the new SIM card and asked via email what steps I would need to take to activate it on my existing phone. The representative told me they wouldn't answer questions without my billing address.
When the SIM card arrived, I called to get it activated. The phone representative hardly spoke English and completely lacked competence, and the interaction took over a half hour, but I was able to get the SIM card activated.
All signs indicate that Ting is a sinking ship, from abandoning their mobile apps to doing only the bare minimum to keep their services and customer support somewhat afloat. My experience with Ting is shocking and I would actively advise current subscribers to run as fast as possible, even if they aren't currently having problems yet, because they eventually will.
DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY
DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY! The customer service is awful. I asked to cancel my account and they refused to do it and kept charging me. Stay away from this company!!!
Hours wasted and still not fixed..
Hours wasted and still not fixed... Emails are not responded to, support specialists contradict each other, promotional credits aren't applied, and on and on. Some quotes from today:
"I do apologize for the experience that you have bee get in previous interaction on Ting [sic]."
"sorry for the misunderstanding that has been given to you by our previous agent" [does that mean they've been fired?]
"I do understand but as of the moment we don't have available supervisor"
