Tom’s Key Company saved me a ton of…

Tom’s Key Company saved me a ton of money. I called a locksmith and a hardware store and it was a nightmare. Wanted $300.00 and schedule appointment which was three weeks out. Tom’s Key. Cut me a new key and sent me a programmer with in a week, at half the cost with refundable security deposit. Customer service was awesome, Mariah resolved my issue with no problem quickly and efficiently. Great experience, highly recommended this company.

The new key was cut with the photo key…

The new key was cut with the photo key cut. It worked perfectly. My second key was put through the washing machine and quit. I purchased a key from the dealer and it was $328.00 out the door.
Toms key was $150.00 and worked perfectly after programming.

No Support

We ordered a complete key set for a 2006 Dodge Dakota work truck. The key came to us cut(via a photo) and it starts the truck. We tried to program the key (a dozen times) and does not work. Called the company several times and no one answers the telephone. Completed their online request for support and call requested technical call back. No one called back and absolutely no support. We do not recommend

Busted key fob

I have been driving with a key that broke into two parts, and all the buttons fell off. I could not afford to have a new key cut and programmed at the dealership. I stumbled across Tom's, and within days, they had a new key cut and sent to me. I followed the programming instructions and voila! I have a new key for less than $150. The customer service answers questions quickly and does everything they can to make sure you have what you need. We need more businesses like Tom's in this contentious AI-driven world! Thank you, Tom's!

The order process was really simple

The order process was really simple. The communication was excellent throughout the whole process. Using the coder took literally 10 minutes to program one new key and remote for my vehicle since I didn’t have to erase the original keys or remotes. The savings was at least $200 over the dealership to cut and program only a key. Definitely would used Tom’s Key Company again.

The key isn't the issue they tell you…

The key isn't the issue they tell you about it's the "EZ Installer" that gave my car all types of problems. From check engine lights, service electronic light , and at the end no key was attained. Buy a new key from them but call a local locksmith . Ez installer did not work for my 2017 Dodge Charger SE.

Works perfectly

Works perfectly! Had a 2011 Kia Optima key made using the photo option. Quick shipping. Would use Tom's again if needed.

I lost the spare key and key fob for my 2016 Chevy Colorado and wasn't looking forward to paying dealership prices. Tom's Keys made the process easy and saved me a lot of money. They provided a new key and key fob along with clear, step-by-step instructions for programming everything yourself. Tom's Keys also offers a key-cutting service if you'd rather have them do it. I chose to have my local Chevy dealership cut the key, and then I followed Tom's programming instructions. Be sure to follow the directions exactly—they're clear and easy to understand, and everything worked perfectly. I highly recommend Tom's Keys for anyone needing a replacement key or fob. Great product, great customer service (by Jake), and an excellent value!

Programming didn't work

Programming didn't work, that's okay as sometimes these don't work. My issue was that I paid $3 extra to have free return shipping. But when I tried to return it the only option on their return website was a pickup option and so was charged $17 for that. After reached out to customer service, rather than try to help they said it was my fault for choosing that return when that is the only option given me during return. Had good experience in past, but can't recommend going forward as they are confusing in trying to upsell you with your deposit money and don't want to do business with deceptive tactics like that.

All my questions were answered immediately, with responses to my emails unbelievably fast. I wish all the companies I deal with would take a lesson from Tom's Key.

Bait and switch

Overpaid for shipping that was 2 days later than advertised, paid for a brand new working item, sent a used non working item. No return label with package, run around trying to get one, that I had to print myself. The kit I purchased had an uncut key that I paid to have cut, got even more runaround of why I did not return the key, because I paid to have it cut and you have already waisted enough of my time and money, that's why. Emails saying my replacement item is on the way have tracking number linked that do not work. Been a month and still no item. Save yourself time and money go elsewhere. Also don't believe any AI auto response to this review. Completely useless. The only other product and customer service that I have had worse than this, is when I tried to buy bootleg DVD of an out of print movie from South America.

I had my doubts

I had my doubts, but it was easy and it worked. It did not take as long as I had thought. Even having to use a by pass cable was not bad at all. This saved me so much money and I am thankful I gave it a try.

Key worked fine it's the service and…

Key worked fine it's the service and customer service thats terrible. Paid 2 day air shipping got it 7 full days after they said shipped. Can't get anyone to answer me on customer service or just get the run around

Defective key fob

I ordered a replacement key fob and key blade for a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The key blade successfully locked and unlocked the doors. However, the fob didn’t work. The unlock button locked the doors and the lock button unlocked the doors. More importantly, the vehicle did not detect the fob when I tried to start it. So, the car wouldn’t start. After, some debugging, Tech Support asked me to return the key fob. I’m still waiting for approval of my return request. They won’t send me a new key until they receive the defective key.

Tom's is a no go

Tom's is a no go, a real crap shoot. My vehicle was properly described as a 2024 Ford Escape with a push button start. Tom's sent a key fob that looked ok, together with a programmer that apparently does not work for push-button stat cars. I verified that fact with customer service from "Car Keys Express" which makes the "EZ Installer" . Tom's convinced me that another installer would work so I returned the "EZ" and received a "Find My Key" installer. That one also did not work and I was able to talk a a really nice HUMAN from 'Find My Key" who informed me that their installer would never work on a push button start vehicle. I returned everything and, in time, was fully refunded EXCEPT for a $3.93 "Free & Easy Returns + Lost or Damaged Package Protection" , which I never signed up for and was never told it was added to my order and was non-refundable. It was only after some back and forth with Tom's AI service "team" , and my threats of making a campaign of providing negative reviews, that they finally refunded that $3.93. You can expect Tom's AI "team" to provide a soothing response to this review, but beware. Until Tom's cleans up their act and rids themselves of AI generated content,I cannot recommend Tom's.

The app kept hanging up and saying…

The app kept hanging up and saying wait. I waited for 5-minutes and tried again, three times. The app said to call for support, but the company was closed. Surprisingly, the remote was programmed, but the app said it wasn't. Four stars because it worked, but the app is not yet ready for prime time.
