We're a plumbing and heating company serving Central and West London, founded by an engineer who's spent fifteen years on the tools. That matters, because it shapes how we run. Every gas job is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer — never a subcontractor we've never met, never someone learning on your boiler. Our registration number is 981012, and we'd encourage you to check it. You should check anyone who works on your gas. We know the reputation this trade has. Quotes that change halfway through. Engineers who don't turn up. Prices explained vaguely, or not at all. We built Trade Modern specifically to fix that. So: you get a fixed written quotation before we start, setting out exactly what's included and what isn't. If we find something unexpected behind a wall, we stop and talk to you before spending your money. You get confirmed appointment times and a message when we're on the way. I own a barber shop in Ealing and I had…

I own a barber shop in Ealing and I had an issue with my tap sink. The water was actually everywhere.

After calling Trade Modern , Fab straight after come in no even 15 minutes from the call , fix my tap and left everything clean .

What a service . Thank you Trade Modern

Exceptional service, rare to find in London

Trade Modern provided an outstanding service from start to finish. They were extremely responsive, proactive, punctual and professional. Everything was exceptionally well organised, with clear digital reports and documentation throughout. It is rare to find this level of service in London, and I would highly recommend Trade Modern.

I needed my old toilet cistern replaced…

I needed my old toilet cistern replaced and called Trade Modern. They arrived exactly on time, explained exactly what needed doing, and gave me a clear price before starting. The new cistern was fitted perfectly in no time. Tested thoroughly to make sure no leaks and the flush works flawlessly. They took away all the old parts, left the bathroom spotless, and even showed me how everything works.

Second time for a call out this time for new tap to be fitted in the kitchen
Great service, show on time, very reliable and kitchen was very clean after the job they carried .

Thorough investigation and finally fixing the problem!

We had been dealing with an ongoing leak for a very long time, and despite having several people look at it, nobody was able to identify where the water was coming from or what was causing it.

The engineers from Trade Modern came out and carried out a really thorough investigation. They quickly established that the problem wasn’t actually coming from inside our property at all, but from damaged external guttering and downpipes allowing water to penetrate the building.

They scoped the required works clearly, coordinated the approval with the building management, and once approved, the repair was completed incredibly quickly.

Since then, the wall has completely dried out and the problem is finally resolved. After such a long period of uncertainty, it was a huge relief to have someone properly diagnose the underlying cause and actually fix it. Very professional, thorough and efficient service — highly recommended.

Thank you for such a detailed review. Leaks with no obvious source are among the most frustrating problems to live with, especially after several people have looked and come up empty. We're glad the team traced it to the external guttering and downpipes rather than treating symptoms inside.

Thanks also for your patience while we coordinated approval with the building management. It's great to hear the wall has dried out and the problem is properly resolved.
