The team on site were fantastic from start to finish of the course. I thoroughly enjoyed the support and encouragement. It made the learning experience so rewarding. I couldn’t recommend the school highly enough.

I am an older, complete beginner to plastering and was chuffed to discover TTS.

TTS sets you up with your own work area, true to life, then combines practical demonstrations with hands-on tasks using all of the appropriate materials.

The tutors watch you work, encouraging and correcting as you go, but also give you space to work through your tasks.

A week of plastering practice and tutoring has given me the confidence to continue learning a new skill.

I highly recommend TTS to anyone and of any age or experience.

Hands on one-to-one tutoring at your own pace throughout from experienced guys who were always happy to answer questions and give advice.

Everything was covered from mixing the first bucket to setting up your own business. They also provide ongoing support upon completion of your course.

I would highly recommend getting in touch to discuss your options, as I did. After this initial consultation I had no hesitation in signing up for a six week course.

I thought in one week I might just pick up the basics of plastering.
What I experienced was a lot more.
I was applying an external type render scratch coat on the first day after an interesting lecture.
By day two I was applying a gypsum plaster to a wall and by day 3 a ceiling.
Within one week I learnt the method of plastering and by day 5 was plastering round a window opening.
I enjoyed my course which included all kinds of interesting pieces of knowledge without a dull moment.
I hope to use this in my work both as a stonemason and maybe as a novice plasterer.
Currently I am helping someone refurbish a mews house and he has asked me to render the inside wall surfaces.

I completed the city and Guilds Plumbing and tiling courses with TTS.I had never touch any of these trades prior to attending the Course. The pace of the quality of the tuition was spot on, the instructors allowed time for demonstration, imitation and set you off to practice. I found both my instructors (Ian and Immi) were very experienced in their trades and were also willing to offer stories of their experiences to support the practices being taught. These courses take into consideration the complete novice and that being myself allowed me to make mistakes and learn by them. Worth training with TTS if you wish to pursue the trades or for DIY purposes.

Excellent environment and no messing around. You are thrown straight in and straight to work but in a way that makes you feel comfortable and not uneasy! Ant, matty and immie are on a different level when it comes to knowledge and more importantly understanding everyone takes things in quicker than others! A year down the line and I am successfully running my own business and taking on jobs I never thought I would have the confidence to do! Not only has the training in school been invaluable but the support afterwards is second to none. Every obstacle I come across is answered by the wealth of knowledge from experienced people who have attended the school or from Ant who runs the school! The course is really hands on with enough theoretical background information, using real life examples, to provide a substantial understanding of the content. The way the course is delivered retains attention and increases the chance of the content actually sinking in.
I left with a greater understanding and more useable knowledge than I thought was possible in the time frame. Overall great experience and highly recommend.

I completed the 2 week tiling course with Anthony and Imran. Both guys are really approachable. I received all the 1-1 support I need to achieve all the tasks. They explained and assisted me in a positive way making the whole experience enjoyable.
I’m already looking forward to my next 2 week course and also plumbing in the future.

Course was really good, Anthony and Immy were really welcoming and made you feel comfortable right from the start. They really know their stuff too and are happy to answer as many questions as you can throw at them. Incredible value for money and looking forward to going back to learn some more.

I completed the 2 week plastering course with Ant as my tutor. The course was fantastically ran. By the end of the 2 weeks I could complete a wall and ceiling to a very decent standard. There was never more than 4 students at a time while I was there so you're getting pretty much 1-1mentoring.

A fabulous and indepth practical course delivered by an expert Venetian Plasterer. The course was well paced and Rob was generous with his knowledge. We used a variety of materials and covered a range of techniques. Rob demonstrated the process then we tried it out, working on boards and directly on the workshop walls (scale does make a difference) and the walls offered us a chance to deal with internal and external angles.

I learnt a huge amount in 3 days. The course sets you up with good basic skills, material and equipment knowledge, supplier info and an after course WhatsApp group to ask questions and get feedback.

Trades Training School is really well set up and has a good working atmosphere. I would return to do another course.

I did the introductory 5 day plumbing course with Immy and Iain. I started with some basic knowledge having installed a kitchen sink and knowing a little about PTFE tape, compression fittings and how to cut copper pipe. I ended up learning a ton about plastic pipe and push fittings (so much easier than copper), waste pipes, how to bend copper and most importantly how to install a washbasin, a toilet and a radiator. I am a lot more confident and ready to have a go at installing an under the stairs loo and sink and go from there.

Recently done the 2 week plumbing course taught excellently by Mr Martin who was very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure you understand everything fully along with throwing in some banter to keep you entertained especially in his wee school boy shorts and wee sparrow legs hanging out the bottom it gave everyone a good laugh. He held a very high standard for the quality of your work and pushed you to do the best you can. Very effective tutor skills definitely deserves a wage rise after getting the young apprentice up to scratch in only 2 weeks!

I did a tiling course. Really good staff willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get it. The 6 week course in tiling covers everything you need to know including advice on how to start up your business. Equally suitable if you’re just interested in doing DIY to improve your and your families homes. It’s the perfect investment in yourself and your future business/career. Effective teaching and you spend most of your time in hands-on practical in control of your own design decisions, with some helpful theory lectures thrown in.

By the end you will be fully able to tile an entire room by yourself to a high standard, across different backgrounds etc and will have a full understanding of proper preparation and material selection too

The staff were really approachable and easy to talk to, Rob taught our course well with support from Antony to guide us where needed. I felt we were slightly restricted with space for the course and a bay each would have been more helpful for the course.
