They advertise the class for “$7.99” …it’s a lie!
They advertise the class for “$7.99” with a promo code. However, the promo code does not work and when I called the toll free number the person who answered the phone was very rude and claimed the problem was from my end and that I was doing something wrong. Then he said to go ahead and pay the full amount, then to call them back and they will refund me the difference. It’s been two weeks, I still haven’t received the refund.

I'm guessing that you must have misspelled it when you registered, as thousands of people have used the same promo code without any issues.
Our customer reps are trained to inform people to email us if they need a refund for any reason. This way we have all the information required to issue and track a refund.
I just checked, however, and I do not see any record of you emailing us this request. I am therefore using your above information as your request for a refund and have issued it today.

As good as it can be - for traffic school
Any one who tells you that traffic school is great is lying to you. However this online school is pretty straightforward. No tricks or traps. Just the basic stuff you need to make the DMV happy. I think just about everyone takes this school on line now rather than attending a school in person as it is more convenient and less expensive.
One thing you will need to do is call up the DMV a couple of weeks after you take the school to make sure they got the information. Unfortunately the DMV DOES NOT make this info available online. The only way can be sure they got it is to call them.
