Transcription itself was decent, impossible to cancel
UPDATE: they talk the talk with the trustpilot replies but beware that they do not reply over email.
Transcription itself was decent, but I did not want to continue the trial yet the website made it impossible to cancel. Every time I click confirm it says my subscription is still active. I’m now taking it up with my bank to dispute charges.

Misleading name, poor product, charged after I cancelled
I signed up for TranscribeToText.AI thinking it was Otter.ai (my fault for not double-checking the URL), but the confusion is easy to make and this product does NOT deliver anywhere near what a real transcription service should.
I use Otter.ai regularly and it does exactly what you'd hope: takes a video meeting recording and turns it into a clean, readable, actually usable document with speaker labels, summaries, the works. TranscribeToText.AI did none of that. The transcription was unusable. It was not formatted, not organized, and certainly not something I could share with a colleague or reference later.
To make it worse: I submitted my cancellation request late because I thought it was Otter.ai. I even sent my communication between Otter.ai and myself to prove I had reached out to cancel. Transcribetotext.AI said they could not refund even though I have never used the product since the trial. Otter.ai has a FREE trial!!
If you're looking for a solid AI transcription tool, go to Otter.ai. Skip this one entirely!!
Wish I read the reviews before trying TranscribetoTex.AI my small business wouldn't be out $34.99 for garbage!

Waste of time
Service was good. My audio file was transcribed no problem. The only problem was after I canceled i still got billed 29 usd per month for 3 months. When I let them know about the issue they offered a 20 usd refund. I canceled the service and went back into the account to find they were still going to bill me for the next month. I emailed them agian and they automatically refuned me for one month. Their policy is they cant refund for anything that was paid 30 days or more in the past. Im am now dealing with my credit card company to reverse previous chagres. It would have been easier if I had transcribed this myself the old fasion way. Complete waste of time and money.

Very misleading subscription design.
The website offers both a 7-day option and a monthly option. When I purchased the 7-day service, I understood it to be a one-time purchase. At no point was it made sufficiently clear to me that the service would automatically renew into a monthly subscription and charge my credit card again.

TranscribetoText.AI is horrible. I did not mean to sign up, and I was signed up for their subscription without my knowledge. I have since sent an email requesting cancellation, but they ignored it and did not get back to me at all.
I would not recommend this service to anyone at all and they just want to scam and take your money.

Misleading sign-up and unexpected monthly charges
I clicked what I thought was a link for Descript and somehow ended up signed up to TranscribetoText.ai. I do not remember knowingly subscribing to this service, but I have now discovered that I have been charged every month for several months.
I searched my emails and cannot find any welcome email, receipt, trial confirmation, subscription confirmation, or renewal notice from TranscribetoText.ai. That makes it very hard to understand what I supposedly agreed to or when a recurring subscription was started.
My experience matches a lot of the other negative reviews here. The sign-up and billing process feels unclear and misleading. The site has a “Try it for free” button, but I could not find any genuinely free option, which feels like false advertising.
In my view, this uses manipulative techniques to get people into a paid subscription.
I would not recommend this service.

Not try this software once. They will withdraw money even if you sign up for a free trial and then cancel the subscription
I tried this software once and it worked really poorly. Today I discovered they are charging money from my bankaccount on a regular basis and I am 100 percent sure I did not signup for this. I see there are many similar complaints of people who are paying without notice or proper consent. This is illegal

Do not use. Their information about billing/subscription is very misleading. I cancelled after a free trial and was billed the month after. Looking at other reviews seems like I'm not alone.

I don't recommend this service at all. They're not clear about subscriptions when signing up and you're charged twice once for the initial use and then a premium subscription! Their support team wasn't helpful either when requesting a refund.

DECEPTIVE "1-WEEK" TRAP: Designed to confuse you
TranscribeToText.ai uses "dark patterns" to trick users into expensive subscriptions. Their sign-up page is intentionally confusing: it literally says "1-Week Trial" and "1-Month Plan" on the exact same box. Most people see the "1-Week Trial" for £4.50 ($5.99) and assume it is a short-term commitment. However, it is a trap. Just 7 days later, they automatically charge you £23 ($29.99) every month. They use fake countdown timers and hide the actual subscription costs in tiny, faded text at the bottom of the screen. They refuse full refunds, claiming you are past a "trial period" that was never clearly explained. Avoid this site; it is designed to take your money without clear consent.

The service is helpful but
The service is helpful and mostly accurate for transcribing interviews and creating summary documents. However, in the free 'trial' it notes the different speakers which is good but since I paid for it this feature has disappeared. Therefore it is misleading

Just to clarify — the speaker diarization feature needs to be turned on before you start recording or uploading a file. It can’t split speakers after the transcription is ready.
We’re currently working on adding the ability to edit completed transcripts in the future. For now, the only way to adjust the text is manually — for example, in Word or a similar editor.

liars! Beware of this company. First, they used the word "Otter" in the headline to bate me to them instead of the real Otter company. Then, they say Free Trial but it charges immediately. The translation was terrible and unorganized. The SUPPORT button does not even work. It is hard to unsubsribe and you are stuck with the first month's payment. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
