I don't recognise this company and they've taken 39odd pounds from my bank.
I paid by phone parking and I’ve had two attempts to remove £59.99 from my account over the last two days by this company I don’t know who they are. I’ve never subscribed to anything. They are clearly an illegal scam based company thankfully my bank are on the board and I’ve blocked both payments. Absolutely Outrageous complete slam block block block
SCAM. A clever one. I tried to pay for parking at Craster Northumberland by downloading a paybyphone app. My Google search for the app brought up paybyphone Alnwick (same area) at the top. I clicked on this and followed the process of registering my name, email and full card details. The process seemed unusually clunky, adverts were popping up - one regarding a fitness gym or something - you obviously get to a point when registering these type of things when you begin ticking ‘terms and conditions’ and ‘next’ rather swiftly. It is apparent now that one of these was to subscribe to a £59.99/month fitness program. When registering my card I got a six digit code from my bank to confirm £1 to the company TNCBILL.COM. Although the name seemed odd it corresponded to the messages when trying to register the app so I foolishly accepted. I then received an error message. Unbelievably I did all of the above again in the next minute, the message from my bank for the payment was again for £1 but this time to FTTRSBILL.COM. The thing is, I thought it’s just a quid, my bank are texting me to authorise any payments, what’s to lose? The error message popped up again, I ended up paying by contactless card on the machine. That evening I saw two payments of £59.99 come out. At the end of a 90 minute wait to talk to the bank (midnight) they told me it was common, the companies are not doing anything illegal. Mugs like me are ticking stuff for memberships. The bank said I need to appeal to the company. There is a happy ending. I googled each company. What opens out for both is a claim form, requesting stuff like ‘cancel my membership’. I completed it and wrote in a comments box ‘i want a refund‘. Amazingly within an hour I received a text message stating my membership had been cancelled and I would receive a refund within 30days. (Really?). Today (2 days later) I have been refunded both amounts. Good luck everyone, it’s an absolute sickener and makes me angry with the world. It looks like this scam involves lots of different but very similar looking companies. ———.COM. Very clever, am sure they know what they’re doing.
Total scam, if you see TNFBILL.COM as transaction on your bank account. Immediately Freeze or cancel your card, I didn't notice as on Holiday abroad, when amount taken, have now had 2 payments taken from my account for £59.99 1 month apart ,Bank (Lloyd's) will not reemburse as say I must of clicked on app when abroad, No more payments once card closed
