Cant get any response from sales for weeks?????

We are trying for weeks to have a call with the sales team as a fintech that are looking to use their services...zero. We contact customer service every day but all they can do is send an internal email. Why is it so hard??? Plaid responded immediately and we have had multiple calls...

Just incredibly rude customer service

Just incredibly rude customer service. I've been in entrepreneurship for close to 25 years and I don't think I've encountered such a rude group of people. Avoid at all costs.

The response below is really just indicative of how rude they are. Just bizarre.

(So she just copies the response from the canned response and posts it here).

It’s telling when you get more support from a trustpilot review than actually applying for a service.

There’s absolutely zero chance of me providing further “feedback” to this crew.

Avoid. That’s my recommendation.

Crash waiting screen

I have to use truelayer often because my bank account only gives that option for moving money between my accounts. Their software works but always glitches on iPhone. Loops on both banks and just gives waiting screens on both sides. When I see this I know the transaction has actually happened and have to hard crash out of both bank applications to reboot and see the successful transactions. Pathetic software that can’t even tell you it’s complete! Get it sorted and stop telling customers to contact their bank!

Thank you kindly for flagging this, I’m sorry to hear about the loops and waiting screens you’ve experienced on your iPhone. The flow you’re using hands you to your bank’s app to authorise, then back to our checkout to show the result. On some iOS setups the return step can stall, even when the payment has completed.

A few quick fixes usually resolve it:
1. Set Safari as the default browser, or (if you're already using that browser) try again in Chrome.
2. In Settings → Safari, turn off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” and “Block All Cookies”, and disable any Content Blockers.
3. Avoid Private/Incognito mode and clear cookies and cache, then retry.
4. Fully close and reopen the bank app before authorising again.

These steps address the iOS behaviours that cause the “stuck loading” you’re seeing and help the result screen display correctly. You can also rely on your transaction list for confirmation if the screen doesn’t refresh right away. We’re continuously improving the result screens shown after bank authorisation, including how long we wait before showing the final status, so you should see fewer of these stalls over time.

Read the reviews before wasting your time!

I spent an afternoon going through the developer guide to make sure this was going to work for me.

I then filled in minimal details and got an automated email telling me "we're not the right fit for your requirements".

Well there is no way you know what my requirements are from the detail you have on me.

Waste of time!

Non-Existent Team

Since the layoffs in November 2024, there doesn't seem to be anyone available or anything happening behind the scenes. Unable to speak to a sales contact or account manager, however continue to receive marketing emails and requests to review the experience on TrustPilot.

Waste of my time

Tried to use TrueLayer as recommended by the ISA provider but it never worked. I spent two hours retrying, contacting my bank and the ISA provider. Neither of whom could identify any fault on their systems. I have no confidence in TrueLayer and will not try them again.

Just tried to use TrueLayer for the 1st…

Just tried to use TrueLayer for the 1st time and I have to say I'm very disappointed.
It does not work!
Stuck, doing nothing. I hope it's just a glitch but I had no choice as that's what Trading 212 uses.

Tried to log into open banking

Tried to log into open banking - required to rent flat(!) - simply wouldn't work! Tried again and again but told by referencing company that it was the bank's fault - they disagreed. I'm now going to lose the flat because they think I'm not being honest with them.
Absolutely furious, it was bad enough giving someone complete knowledge of my banking but, having grudgingly accepted I had to, not being able to effect it and then losing the flat as they thought I was unreliable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Money stucked somewhere in truelayer ( direct bank transfer) , truelayer asked to merchant create ticket.. merchant says wait 7 days until they do nothing..

I have receipt so truelayer should help customer also..

Followed instructions to the letter, and although it appeared that an Open Banking link to my bank account was set up any transfers of money failed. Waste of my time. Thought I would try these as my first experience with Open Banking, but will now stick with transitional methods

Not TCF Compliant

We have used TrueLayer for a couple of years.

They do not provide support to existing clients. We have customers who make payments through them and they are holding their funds without telling us what is happening. Circa 7% of payments. They choose not to provide support and this is causing customers real problems.

Do not use TrueLayer, they do not Treat Customers Fairly and do not look to have the right outcomes for their customers.

Made a wrong payment transfer of £1020…

Made a wrong payment transfer of £1020 to a company who ceased trading in 2023. Realised that True Layer we servicing financials for that company so I got in touch with them chasing my money in extreme distress.

Got through someone somehow and they understood my case, escalated issue to internal departments and 5 days later got a message "your money has been returned to your account".

Cannot thank you guys more as it was extremely stressful, thinking that I might never get my money back. Big thanks to Krasimir and Sam as both dealt with my issue, understood the stress I was going through, kept following up with me with regular updates. Cannot be more grateful TRUE LAYER. Your people are your assets.

Great after initial wobble

I am a small sole developer creating a proof of concept for a new product aimed at changing how people approach money. The goal is to provide a single value representing their total savings by subtracting monthly recurring costs from their total funds. This value would be displayed in a mobile widget, allowing users to set savings goals and gamify the savings process.

Connecting to banks to retrieve balances was my biggest concern, but after an initial issue with obtaining an access token, I was able to use the data APIs to connect bank accounts and have a working proof of concept within a few hours.

The API is fast, easy to use, and provides accurate, up-to-date data. It includes various routes such as list accounts, get account balances, and get account transactions, covering many use cases with several integrated providers.

My only feedback for improvement is that it would be beneficial to normalise data between card types. For example, normal savings accounts and credit cards require slightly different logic to get the balance. Additionally, a more interactive onboarding process in the console could help alleviate some initial setup frustrations

Overall, I will continue developing this project and using Truelayer to do so.
