Great app for seeing the bigger picture

I've been currently doing zero-based budgeting. I couldn't quite figure out how to do that with True North, but I have really like seeing the overall picture of our finances. It's also a great debt pay down tool. The budgeting part of it also makes a great bill tracker, because as you pay your bills you can check them off. I have been running it along with my zero-based budgeting app and it's been great! Also, I really love the color schemes used, it makes it more fun to do finances.

While it isn’t built around a strict method, it does loosely follow a 50/30/20 structure - so we’re really glad it still gives you that clear, bigger-picture view of your finances. That sense of visibility and understanding is exactly what we aim to provide.

We also love hearing that it’s helping as a bill tracker and debt payoff tool. Being able to see what’s due and check things off as you go is a small thing, but it can make everything feel a lot more manageable. It’s one of our favorite parts too.

And your note about the colors made us smile. Making finances feel a little lighter - without losing clarity - was something we spent a lot of time thinking about.

I love this True North Budgeting prides…

I love this True North Budgeting prides itself on being an honest offline budgeting software that doesn't require logins and the data stays on my computer versus a company's server. Privacy with my financial information is a HUGE plus and TNB nailed it. It's also been great for giving me a clear financial picture to make decisions from, and on top of that.... whoever designed it, made it ultra fast and easy to use. Thank you to the people at True North Budgeting!

A Simple Budgeting App That Actually Helped Me Save More

Checked out True North Budgeting and I love it. I’ve always hated dealing with finances. It can feel overwhelming and honestly a little scary to look too closely at your budget. But, True North is the simplest budgeting tool I’ve ever used, and it made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.

The app is simple, offline, and private. No cloud and no tracking. It actually helped me get over the intimidating part of looking at my finances and made it much easier to stay on top of things. I can enter my income and expenses, see a 12-month forecast, and really understand my cash flow without any extra hassle. It’s been a great way to keep things organized and even increase my savings without feeling overwhelmed.
