The quality of the work provided was extremely poor. In renovated windows rotten sills were covered with thin strips of soft wood to hide the damage. The new windows have the thinnest double glazing units possible and are not primed. Draught excluder strips fell off in days, the joinery was laughable with gaps between all joints. The extent of their cover up work has only just come to light as five years later, I've had to have the windows done again and their tactics have been uncovered. The overall attitude of the team was appalling and they are one of the worst companies I have ever worked with.

Review for Tswr.pro and traditionalsashwindowrestorations.com: Avoid this company. I had a horrible experience. Quick rundown: after paying the deposit, they agreed fitting would take 3-4 months. Close to fitting, they told me they had lost the measurements, and my windows and doors hadn’t been made. After a lot of last-minute cancellations throughout the year, they eventually fitted a year after the deposit was paid (this was a very long and stressful experience, where I was looking into taking legal action). The quality of the doors and windows made in the workshop isn’t great, but it’s the fitting that was more problematic; a week after they were fitted, the doors expanded so much that I couldn’t open them, and all the sealant they used had washed away from both windows and doors, despite it being completely dry for days afterwards. I suspect it’s because Andrew (the fitter) immediately painted the sealant after applying. They had not fitted like-for-like on the doors, and did not add a threshold or weather bar to deflect the rain, so the doors just sat in rainwater which was running down the frame & collecting at the bottom. Several screws had snapped off in the hinges – the fitter had then replaced with ¾ inch screws sunk in at an angle to avoid the snapped screws (amazing they held considering the weight of the doors). A few other screws were completely burred over, which I had to remove & replace. The chiselling around the hinges is the worst I’ve seen, and the doors are bowed, so I had to fit handles top and bottom to pull them in to lock shut. I tried tens of times to get them to fix their mistakes, with no luck. After 6 months of them giving me dates, then cancelling on the day (and only when I called to ask where they were), I gave up. I fixed the issue myself, at my own cost. Andrew the fitter seems like a nice enough guy, but he is not a skilled joiner and his organisation and communication is awful – he and Dave (the ‘owner’) both ignore messages and calls and the business seems to be all over the place. Avoid at all costs, go with a reputable company with a good history & decent reviews (this company seems to change its extremely generic name frequently – take a look at Dave Pridding on Companies House. Extremely difficult to find reviews).

If I could give 0 stars I would. On 08/09/2023 I had a quote for £7,070 for the installation of four hardwood windows. I was assured by David Pridding, the owner of the company (Traditional Sash Window Restorations - tswr.pro) I had to pay 25% upfront for materials, but the work would be scheduled and completed within 4-6 weeks. I paid the 25% deposit upfront, a total of £1,767.50. after receiving a contract of works on 09/08/2023 which agreed to this timeframe. After nearly a year, a series of excuses, promises of a refund ... nothing, no site visit, no windows, no work done at all. Do not use this company, they will take your money and run (to Spain).
