The quality of physicians varies considerably.
The overall quality of physicians at UCSF varies considerably. Of course, there are many excellent doctors who are highly skilled, experienced, conscientious, and responsible. At the same time, there are also some physicians whose clinical experience is relatively limited and whose professional capabilities may not fully correspond to the responsibilities they are expected to assume.
It is also worth noting that, in recent years, some medical schools and healthcare institutions have taken into account not only professional qualifications and students’ academic performance, but also certain other policy-related and social considerations when making decisions about admissions, hiring, and job placement. Objectively speaking, such practices may also be one of the factors contributing to differences in professional competency among some physicians at UCSF.
