Worked for them for quite a while now and can honestly say that they are inflexible and rude in most correspondence (especially Paul). I feel that this company has changed a lot over the years; lower quality brands, less pay and ruder staff. I cannot recommend them when there are much better companies/alternatives.
I cannot recommend them any more
Unfortunately after many years of successful shopping with this company, they have completely and utterly failed.
I had two shops ready for payment, £51 total. The payment date came and my bank contacted me to say they rejected the payment as Marketforce didn't provide the necessary details to confirm who they were or where they were based. Never had this issue before.
I raised payment queries and emailed them to be met with a response along the lines of we'll process this when we can. I pushed for payment as they are now overdue, and was offered PayPal as an alternative. I accepted this and the payment was sent several hours later, but fees were taken off the payment.
I cannot recommend this company any more. Their service to shoppers is extremely poor and they are not wiling to own up to, or fix their mistakes.
Company should be investigated for fraud!

I contacted their help desk multiple times and got no response. Then the approved shop mysteriously disappeared from my account like it never happened.
This feels dishonest and intentionally shady. They took my time and money and then erased the proof. Do not waste your time working with this company. If you value getting paid for the work you complete, stay far away.

3 weeks wait for payment often. Some steps seem pointless, for example, photographing table number at Wetherspoons when its on receipt. Definitely gives the vibe they want you to trip up so they don't have to pay you.

I have worked with these since 2007! I find their work straightforward and clear. Rarely have any queries and payments are made. If I need help I can obtain it.

Late payment due to "unforeseen circumstances", a regular occurrence.
This company must be going under soon. Beware, don't take on too much that needs repayment.
Worst mystery shopping company ever
The job guideline is confusing and even though I ordered the specific menu of Wetherspoon that’s written there, Marketforce refused to pay me. Also a long period to receive a payment, not like other company. Rather than getting money, I lose my money for the purchase and transportation tickets.

Some Job specs not written clearly, and then they refuse to pay you. I had this with a Weatherspoons when they expect you to order beer on a Saturday morning from 9- midday … yuk. Won’t pick another one of those up until they pay me.
One of the male staff members talks to people in a very rude and condescending way. He refused to pay my public transport for a last minute job, only paid petrol which is no use in London when parking costs a fortune.

I respect all the team in the office that I deal with, Jo, Paul, Elaine. The downside is that since Christmas, there are no retail assignments as Aldi, certainly in the north west. There are less and less active companies listed. I once did Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's last year. They have not been listed since.

I’ve been with these for years,and I must say recently they do approve the assignments quickly,and always get paid pretty quickly.
However looking at the website now,they have 0 assignments.
Years ago they had loads of jobs,which took ages to get approved.

Seems completely straightforward to me
I've only done one mystery shop with them... they don't have many assignments... but I haven't experienced any of these issues other people have.
The form to complete is pretty long but you have access to it in advance so you can decide for yourself if it's worth it to you. For me personally, I was happy to have a free meal and just to do something new really.
My report was marked the next day and I received a score although there was no explanation as to what it meant. More importantly, my account was immediately updated to show the payment due to me and I did indeed receive it on the date stated, so I can't fault the company.

A shocking company and how to treat people/staff. Once they have all the information they need they fabricate a way to not pay you and there is no appeal or process it's a straight NO.
I recently done a job where they couldn't find anyone so they raised the assignment fee to 4 times the regular amount and low and behold they refused to pay me.
I would avoid at all costs !!
MarketForce does not pay what they owe for work completed
I have been doing mystery shops for MarketForce for 17 years. I've never before had a problem with getting paid until now. I completed work 3 months ago, for which this company owes me $45 which was supposed to be paid by either direct deposit OR paper check in the mail this last November 20, 2023. Yet to this day, I have NOT received ANY pay for this nor explanation. I have been contacting their help desk and payroll department over and over and over again. STILL no explanation NOR payment for the work I did this last October. I did not hear ANY explanation that the work was not done properly nor any excuse for why they cannot or will not pay me. Yet I still have not gotten paid nor offered any explanation. If I am not mistaken, this is not only "not very nice". It's illegal. So I need to take action against this company.
Paul Coleman one word RUDE
Paul Coleman I find incredibly rude, considering it's meant to be about customer service being mystery shopping Paul lacks himself customer service. I have as a customer never been spoken to so poorly as I have by Paul. It's shocking really. And this is the third time now he's been rude. His responses are argumentative, unhelpful and rude and despite ageing wrong by saying I should have replied to him when he himself sent the email from the info box, of course the response will and did go to the mailbox YOU sent the message from, so to the say I should have emailed you but then not reply and apologise when I called you out. Shocking. Just in general how you word your emails is poor, I wouldn't dream of emailing customers the way you do. Get a grip and go on a customer service course!!!! It's needed!!!!

Issue with payment still no resolved, triple checked new bank details are correct as waiting on several large payments! Spoke to bank and payment definitely not been received and just got standard email from Marketforce telling me to chase my bank!!! Very disappointing as I’ve done many assignments for them over a very long period of time
