UK Gas Plumbers Avis 28

Arrived on time, friendly, very helpful and polite, work was done quickly and very reasonably priced. Explained the technical details as well. Excellent service, Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Abusive & incompetent

Booked a visit with Ernst on Monday, call out charge £180(inc vat).Agreed.
Turned up for 5 mins, said needs to order a part and will be back Tuesday, latest Wednesday. Fair enough.

We received an invoice with a payment date of 16th September
On Wednesday (9th September, when he was meant to come back) we get a phone call evening time to say he's not coming back until he gets the £180.

We got into a bit of an argument about the fact that on invoice it says payment due on 16th September, and that surely we pay once he finishes the job? (like all other companies)

But he didn't have any of it, he said we must pay now or he's not coming back.

He kept on saying which big companies he works for / with, we said we don't care who he works for, we just want the job done.

So... feeling harrased and pushed into doing so... We paid

From our side - we were worried we will pay £180 and the guy will never come back to fix it.

Well guess what - THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!!!

Literally a minute after we paid - he txted to say he is not coming back to finish the job!

Apparently we were too rude for him to come back.

What a lovely excuse to get £180 for 5 mins of looking at gas pipes........

He kept on saying we are too small company and we can't afford him!
We don't think of ourselves as a small company (1523 pubs, of which obviously all will be warned about this company)

You have been warned ( again... As I see we're not the only one...)

Though they will probably say they don't know who we are either... Or say some horrendous stuff about us ;p this is how you many money in this world...

Hopefully you're not going to be as silly as we have ;(

You actually quoted us another £180 (inc vat) for another hour of work :p funny how it changed to less (£90) after we left a review ;p
Obviously tried to rip us off again.
In previous reply you said it would be £90 but removed it from your comments after you realised you got caught 😂

People who read the reviews will make up their own minds ;)

Clearly you can afford to upset many customers, because you work with huge companies and boast about it. "Small" companies don't matter to you

We did agree to you coming back ( even for the £180 plus parts) so we can afford it, but you must have decided we are not easy to rip off again ;p

We found a decent company who doesn't lie, and doesn't abuse or harrass anyone

Ps. Can you stop calling us, nor me or my manager will take any more abuse and harassment from you!

We paid you so just leave us alone!!!!

Ernest from the company was in charge of a boiler installation in my flat and did a fantastic job. Also it was done with a short notice which is not always available when booking services in other companies. Recommended.

I had a great experience with UK Gas Plumbers, the engineer did really good job. Highly recommend!

Needed a landlord's gas safety check doing and from initial enquiry, I had my certificate within 48 hours. Friendly service, both via phone in organising the appointment and in person when the engineer came over. Highly recommend.

The man who spoke to on phone was the boss of the firm was Ernest & was a very nice man with lots of professional integrity who didn't even take payment until a few days later on the phone & offered a good price for 2 gas certificates & I would be happy to recommend to anyone.

Great service, very responsive, excellent price. Will definitely use them again.
