Tried to contact the chat support through the website: waited for 30min just to be connected without a sound or anything else to alert me it is happening. Disconnected after 2 min because I didn't respond. I did it again and again 3 times until I managed to get connected. I was told they can't help me with what documents I need to upload. Yet I've booked "document check" a service that costs 50 pounds. What exactly will I be payinng for if they can't tell me what documents constitude sufficient evidence? I asked this question and then the chat stopped being responsive so I was disconnected after I couple of minutes even though I kept trying to write "hello hello". Hope I don't have to go through this procedure ever again. If I do, I will go with basic service, none of this "extras" that don't even give you anything

Visited the Maidstone branch today. Total time was under 15 minutes. Staff were great- polite, quick and efficient. My documents were uploaded prior to the appointment so I was there for biometrics only. Appointments are paid and rather expensive if you want a sooner date, otherwise free ones tend to be about 3-4 weeks out. I did not try any of their other paid services.

Oh okay these are the actual jobs, but what about if you needed to change your appointment day because you had an accident? then you need to re-buy their precious apppintment full price. Oh also you need to pay extra 10 quids for bothering their schedule - the 'admin fee'. electricity is much more expensive over there I suppose.

Disappointed with Inexperienced Visa Processing Facilitator
I feel extremely let down and I strongly believe that the Home Office should consider finding a different company to handle visa processing. The individual who handled my visa appeared to be inexperienced and untrained. He seemed unsure about what to review, to the point where his colleague had to instruct him on what to do. As a result, my visa was approved, but I now have to go back for corrections because the Sopra Steria employee didn't bother to thoroughly check all the details before submitting it to the Home Office.

Bad experience at Sheffield Branch
I was seen yesterday at UKVAS in Sheffield and my experience was awful. First, the lady just asked for my passport, today I received an email saying that I had to return my old BRC... now I have to go and pay to send it back... unbelievable!!! Furthermore, when taking the photo, I was forced to tie my hair up to take the photo, just my hair behind my ears didn't want enough and the person who helped me looked grumpy.

I had an appointment at the Peterborough branch. I had a paid appointment, as that is all that was available when I booked.
I found it very easy to upload documents and make sure I had everything.
When I had my appointment, I was dealt with by friendly, efficient staff, and had absolutely no issues with them. They had checked all my documents were okay prior to my appointment and then just did my biometrics there.

They are very professional, they take applicants in exactly at the appointment time, very punctual i must say. Polite and friendly at the same time. The lady officer checked and scanned passport and said the application went through successfully. My experience was in Nottingham.

Unexpectedly very good experience
Been in the UK for 51 years now, as a Nurse and had to visit UKVCAS in Birmingham to apply for a BRP - so very anxious as I am elderly and a little disabled. Was treated by all staff with great respect - the 1st a guy who took me upstairs was very polite, cheerful and engaging, and then I went into an interview room with another young man called Jagpreet Tut who was also very respectful and professional, followed by his equally nice Supervisor who had to confirm some details for me. Finally went downstairs and while on the phone for my lift to pick me up, was met by a very young man - a newbie I believe, who asked me very politely to wait outside as these are the rules with no waiting inside the building, despite the bitter cold. He was so apologetic despite the rules being set rules and not made by him personally. My visit was tremendous - speedy and hassle free. Just one point to make - that there should be a waiting area somewhere for family/friends who accompany us to our visits as it was bitterly cold today and drizzling slightly and my daughter who is a nursing Mum with a small baby had to walk the streets with Baby crying for her feed, so had to walk back to the cold parked car to feed baby, which was not ideal
Biometric data appoinment at Peterborough
I had my appointment for providing biometric data at Peterborough and I was assigned to Haleema. She really made me feel welcomed and comfortable during the appointment. Her professionality and help was outstanding.
Regarding the service provided by the company, it is expensive, but I doubt it's the company's fault.
It was a bit unclear whether the document verification was at all useful, and I ended up using scanning everything alone before the appointment and only booking the basic service for the day. It was all done in less than half an hour.

Home office should not make us deal with sopra steria. What name is that anyway? Why make us pay for something that should be free service. £132 for an appoitment, £51 for a scan? TOTAL DISGRACE!

Absolutely ridiculous and horrible experience
The service deal from Ukvcas provider was not to return the amount collected from applicant even though the appointment has not gone.
No clear information about this. No response for the past 9 months. unable to reach the service centre. How did this company got the deal from Home office. Its suspicious and the service is below par standards.

Had a great experience today as the staffs where super nice…We were assigned to Meleny (sorry if I spelled it wrong ;) and she was super patient and made sure we understood exactly how and why we should do what we did…Was really happy with the security staffs as well…
'Scan' artists!
My partner paid £50 for online biometric paperwork check. Incompatible browser. Chrome! Tried Firefox. Still no good. Tried calling. No answer. Fifteen minutes in the queue cost £8. Went to Exeter office. Staff blamed busy website for upload failure. Had to pay a further £54 for checks that my partner had already paid for. Staff spent seconds scanning paper documents and disorganising them. Didn't even seem to check them. Intransigent about refunding document-checking fees but repeatedly advised that credit cards acceptable. Someone remind me how, exactly, this company wangled a contract with the Home Office?
Unprofessional & not reachable
I wish I could give 0 stars. Get ready to be ripped off in the name of paid appointments or wait 4 weeks to get some free slots. Attended Birmingham Victoria Square Centre. Their paid support helpline number is scam, chargeable number which no one answers and automated machine disconnects on its own after wasting time to get through automated voice system. They should be banned as UKVI visa forwarding partners. Not all uploaded documents showing as submitted, trying to reach out to them but no response, not reachable on phone, emailed 3 times already with no reply. What a disgrace in the name of essential service this company provides as a mediator between you and UKVI
