Long waits and horrible customer service

The customer service is a mess only online to speaks with somebody And to replaced scooter or to swap one take months to Decisvd one I just deturned one right when I got it because I ordered a scooter from Amazon, which is much better and drove faster and was safer

I don’t recommend.

I had multiple problems with billing and the scooter itself with not much or any help from there customer service when I tried to get help.

Delivery was super late. The shock absorbers suck. Wouldn’t recommend.

Delayed delivery…

It’s frustrating that I had to wait over 3 weeks for my scooter and no communication from customer service for when it would arrive. And then I was billed for the monthly subscription after having the bike for only a week.

Great future commuter even for a person on a budget

First and foremost it took nearly a month for me to receive my order however, customer service here went above and beyond to not only get on top of the issue but also gave me a warm welcome into the Unagi Family! As for an individual such as myself, for individuals having financial troubles on trying to get a car or if you live in the city/ urban areas and rideshares are costing you a fortune monthly or weekly, then this future commuter is right for you and should be an option in your near future, not only is this very affordable no matter what your credit score line is, but it is also due to the fact it can get you from point A to point B, even all the way to point Z, depending on the mileage and areas you commute that is, as for me I work about six and a half miles away from home in a high desert area of california, Southern California rideshare services can be as much as a hassle as the traffic itself, however this "future commuter" as I love to call these escooters, has already saved me a couple of hundred dollars this month on rideshares as well as saving time commuting from point A to point B, this is not only perfect for college students that are trying to get around their campus, but also for the average Joe or glorious gal that is trying to simply commute across town to get to work or even a simple appointment or errands etc. anyone who has ever thought about jumping into the world of Escooters I suggest that you go big and dive Right in to what the critics have called "The Tesla of Escooters." And not only give do you not give family a chance, but give yourself the chance and the opportunity to change your life and daily routine by adopting one of these awesome babies into your lifestyle.

It took a long time for the package to…

It took a long time for the package to arrive, and the box was completely scuffed up with screws falling out. The scooter is not comfortable to ride; you can feel every tiny bump in the road or joint between pavement sections. No matter how tight I make the screws, they loosen while I am riding the scooter. It is very heavy to carry around and not convenient to hold for long periods of time.

Waited over two weeks for the scooter

Waited over two weeks for the scooter, when arrived, the scooter’s battery life was only 12 miles when its advertised as 25 miles. They are sending a replacement but just frustrating I would be given a scooter with half the battery life I paid for

Took too long to receive

Took too long to receive. My coworkers never got theirs and had to ask for refunds. I only got mine after emailing CEO/ COO on LinkedIn. No way to talk with live person and emailing takes too long for response.

No user repairs allowed

I'll start out by saying i really enjoyed the initial compliments and performance but the lack of "right to repair" is really disappointing. I bought 2 of their scooters at the beginning of 2020. I had right about ~1.2k miles before I needed to replace the battery on both of them, I now have 1524 miles on it. The battery could not travel past 2.5 miles at that point. I replaced the battery and tires in December of 2024 for $335. They would not sell me the tires to do the repair myself and said they are not legally allowed to ship the battery for me to replace. They did say shipping the battery installed in the scooter was acceptable but not the battery by itself, no further explanation was given why that is. It is now September of 2025 and my replacement battery will not charge to 100%. I can charge from 10pm to 7am and when I turn it on the battery indicator will be missing a bar, so 4/5 bars. I travel just under a mile to work everyday and same distance back home. If I don't charge it before the next workday I will be able to get to work (just under a mile) but when I leave, even if I leave by noon, it will die after less than 100ft with zero warning. The battery indicator will indicate 2/5 bars but will suddenly turn off with zero warning. Seems a little ridiculous the scooter maxes out at less than 4 miles range on an 8 month old battery. Unagi said they have no warranty on batteries, only 3 months on the repair of replacing the battery. This seems absolutely ridiculous that a battery can't last a whole year and I have to pay $50 just to ship it back to spend another $205 to have the battery replaced. It is absolutely is the iphone of scooters in that it has no right to repair for the consumers. It has been a reliable scooter up until this point, such a shame the company is using crappy replacement batteries with no actual warranty on the battery. If I had to start over I'd probably buy a different brand where I had the ability to replace worn out parts as necessary. Having to ship my scooter to Oakland CA and not have a scooter for 2-3 weeks is just a real pain.

I kinda have a lot to say here

I kinda have a lot to say here, I’ve been with them since the model before voyager. Do they live up to their hype? I think they’re a great company and I love what they’re doing with the micro transport space. It’s niche but it’s still a deserving space nonetheless. I think they could do better on support and warehouse management but I have no idea of the constraints they’re working under. My thought as they are a transportation system that they would be outfitted a lot better than they seem they are currently. The device for what it is, remarkable. For it to be as small as it is and fight traffic like it sometimes can is just amazing. This lil unit means freedom for me. It’s an essential part of my day. That doesn’t go to say it without flaws, 1 of which that made me take a break. The rod or stem had come loose letting the wheel move freely, this caused an accident I believe. That’s my biggest complaint. Secondary complains are the charger needs to be sturdier or placed somewhere that’s not a focal point and the scooter can fall on. The scooter actually goes 18 not 20 but I’m okish with that they just need to be honest in their advertising and programming. Of course I wish the batter went on longer but me being a fat individual, it is what it is. I know in time things will come up in that area. My current scoot has a squeal, gotta take care of that here soon. All in all not too bad for something that gets me around 95% of the time. I think my largest complaint really is the customer service is very slow, that’s like a car dealer taking their time to get back to you and I mean like weeks ar a time and a month to get a scooter. Improve on that and they’re perfect.
