We're one of the longest surviving Independent Specialist Record Shops in Edinburgh, selling quality vinyl and audio gear in Scotland’s capital since 1996. Starting in a dingy Old Town basement on Cockburn Street before relocating to over ground premises further down the same street, we began as an ‘Underground’ Record Shop selling House, Techno, Disco, Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz and Drum & Bass on the preferred medium which was, and to us still is, good old fashioned Vinyl LPs & Singles. To this very day we still support the format which kicked it all off stocking hundreds of new releases every week, though we also embrace any new Technology which makes the enjoyment of Music possible. So, you’ll find our shelves groaning with the latest DJ and Music Production Equipment including DJ & Hi-Fi Turntables, Mixers, Midi Controllers, Speakers and Headphones from all the top brands such as Pioneer, Reloop, Teenage Engineering, Korg, Sennheiser, Ortofon & Pro-ject. We’ve also expanded the range of music we do to incorporate Classic Rock, Indie, Pop and just about everything else! There are stacks of wax to wade into, and countless Tapes & CDs to get your ears around. As if that wasn’t enough, we have a wide range of accessories including Cartridges & Stylus, Vinyl and Equipment Cases & Bags and T-Shirts, not to mention numerous Books and Magazines to feed your brain. Think of it as a one stop shop for total musical nourishment!

Outstanding range of LP but even better service
I have a large vinyl collection but new to the house/techno genres. I went in and the owner could not have been more helpful, informative and knowledgable. He pulled together a range of LPs by different artists and patiently talked me through them. I came away so better informed and loved my purchase. It was a pleasure and will certainly go back, thank you.

Fantastic
Amazing interpersonal skills and knowledge about music and how to source wonderful hifi equipment. Friendly and welcoming and prepared to spend time with the customer to get the outcomes just right. Excellent customer service. Left feeling confident that they would do their upmost to source what was best for me. Follow-up was equally excellent. A service not just for knowledgeable but also for the inexperienced.
