Also, clearly there is a sister company selling the same things, so all in all this is a major pain

I bought as a gift and found out the…
I bought as a gift and found out the person already had one. They didn't offer a return label because they don't pay for return shipping. When I went to the post office it was so expensive $17 I didn't send it back. After I told them they said they could of sent the label and shipping would be about $7 but it was too late as I gave it away. I was told they keep prices low by not paying return shipping. I'll stick with Amazon or Groupon from now on.
