UPS need better customer communication

Update: My parcel was delivered this morning. But this company need to get a lot better at communication.

The Cork depot is really unreliable sometimes and in the middle of nowhere.

I've had a few parcels that were 'out for delivery' and then suddenly changed to 'delayed ' with no further updates.

We make a point now of trying to avoid suppliers who use UPS for deliveries if we know in advance.

Dysfunctional support service

Package delivery was missed and sent away without any email. Tried to get in touch with support but the chat bot couldn't take an Irish phone number. Tried to search my nearest collection center and It couldn't accept an Irish address.

Twice this year

Twice this year, UPS have failed to deliver on the scheduled day, have blamed a labelling issue, have refused to take any responsibility, and remain difficult to contact. Dealing with them is a lesson in frustration.

A bit slow, but customer service is great.

While the delivery of my package from Germany experienced a slight delay, I am pleased to commend the exceptional responsiveness of their customer service in addressing my inquiries.

Delayed delivery and slow movement.

The shipment's progress is slow, and updates are infrequent, resulting in a delayed delivery. DHL offers a more efficient service.

Customer service is rude and wouldn't…

Customer service is rude and wouldn't listen.
My package was in finglas for two weeks no delivery or interactions.
Still haven't received it
UPS is the bottom of the barrel this isn't my first disappointment from this company

Got a notification that a delivery…

Got a notification that a delivery attempt was made was at the house no one attempted to make any delivery checked my cctv and no one attempted to make any delivery

Lying about delivery attempt

A 4000 euro workstation was supposed to be delivered on Friday. The driver attempted to call my phone. I saw the call but could not pick it up because I was in a meeting. No actual delivery attempt was made to ring the doorbell. Driver did not leave the InfoNotice Number. Delivery postponed to the next working day (Tuesday, due to Bank holiday). Driver DID NOT make a phone call on Tuesday, nor did he make an attempt at delivery, while the tracking information on the website was updated to say the delivery was attempted. This is not true. I am unable to change the delivery method because the driver is not attempting to physically arrive at the house to leave the InfoNotice Number, nor to deliver the package.

Disgraceful

I misses delivery on Friday,24.10.2025.
After speaking with an agent,around 14 30,the phone call was recorded so you can check it,I was promised that I will be able to collect parcel from ups collection point same day.
It was very important to get that parcel that day.
I was told I will get a phone call from collection point that day,
Nothing happened.
I rang they after,I was told exactly same.
It's disaster how you treat your customers,I hope the company I order from will have a word with you,because it's obvious you don't care about your customers,really,no words to express disappointment.
By the way,still no location provided where to collect my parcel.
Thank you for nothing

TERRIBLE SERVICE

UPS are being used by companies to deliver items to my home. However twice this week ALONE they failed to deliver because they don't have my address ...they actually emailed me on one occasion to tell me this WITH MY ADDRESS ON THE EMAIL!!!
They have NO avenue online with which to address this - a LIVE agent is non-existent, you must create an account to further communicate & waive many rights to redress by doing so.
Another GIANT company abusing it's power , getting paid for TERRIBLE service .
There is no option for ZERO stars unfortunately.

Never trust UPS to deliver your parcel safely.

I’ve had three recent UPS “deliveries”. Their advance email states that a signature is required for delivery. Not only is this a lie, but their drivers just drop the parcel at your door and leave. They do not ring or knock on your door to advise a parcel has arrived.
My latest delivery was made to the wrong address approximately 5 km from my house, 90minutes before my earliest expected delivery. If it wasn’t for the honesty of that individual, I wouldn’t have received my parcel. Incidentally, the parcel was correctly addressed and included my post code. I have advised the sender of the level of service that can be expected of UPS and now I am considering not using any business that uses UPS as their preferred delivery partner.

Useless Service

My parcel left Germany on 8th October, and only arrived to my address today, 22nd October, 2 weeks later. In the meantime, according to their tracking, it was in Roscommon, Waterford and Dublin (I live, and the eircode clearly states, Limerick). I rang UPS when I saw what was happening and the agent refused to contact the delivery driver and hung up on me. This is not the first time I've had issues with UPS. Don't use them unless you need headaches.

Repeated "Delivery Attempted"

On two separate occasions (for different parcels) I received a "Delivery Attempted" notification. This was absolutely untrue both times. If they had sent a "Delivery Delayed" I wouldn't mind but I hate the lack of responsibility on their part. I will use other providers where possible in future.

Waste of time and money

I opted for express shipping from Uniqlo. They are unfortunately using UPS for their “express” services in Ireland. The package arrived to Dublin from Germany in a day. UPS Ireland failed to deliver it two full days now. I called the customer service, no real help provided. A complete waste of money and time. They invent reasons for delaying the delivery like “We are trying to get security access our driver needs for this delivery.” The first day, they told me there was a failed delivery attempt even though I instructed through their app to leave the package by the front door. The second day, they told me it was out for delivery. I was home all day. There was no delivery attempt at all. Do yourself a favor and do not pay any extra money for express delivery if the company works with UPS; just go for the free shipping option. If the free shipping option they offer is with another company, I am sure you will receive it faster than UPS’s express delivery option.

Update: I still see no movement on the app other than they are trying to gain security access.— which makes no sense! I’ve been clarifying on the phone that 1) there is no security access problem. I live in a house. My package can be left on the front door. 2) I’m home. There has been no attempt at delivery. This is the third day in a row. Completely unacceptable and misleading process for the customer. Please solve this problem rather than making empty promises.

Shipped a package to the US on…

Shipped a package to the US on 24.09.25, paid for express delivery, package still hasn't been delivered. Each day I check the tracking it says due to be delivered 'today' between 2pm and 6pm and nothing ever happens. I need to know if it's been lost/if there's charges to be paid or is it ever going to get delivered. Potentially how much longer will it take to get delivered. I've used UPS in the past and everything went so smoothly. I'm so disappointed this time around. I just need answers please!

Absolutely frustrated beyond belief for…

Absolutely frustrated beyond belief for the second time. I scheduled a collection to be picked up at my home with very specific instructions due to precious issues with this carrier. I got a notification to say they attempted to collect and there was nobody there. I was at home all day and nobody came.
I rang customer care who were dreadful. Spent 15 mins on the phone explaining. She couldn't even understand what I was saying. She apparently rescheduled a collection. I rang again today and they advised that they couldn't see a collection scheduled. I run the risk now of missing the return date due to the incompetence. I had left my phone number for the driver to call if he was having issues. Disgraceful carry on with poor communication with a customer care team who don't even seem to be able to see or understand the history of the requests.

After posting a review here last week - Problem is still unresolved

After posting a review here last week, I was contated by UPS by email and AGAIN I passed on the access code to my building in writing this time. 6 phone calls and 3 emails later giving the same information last week and with the fake promises that the driver had the security code "this time", my parcel hasn't been delivered yet and the message "Our driver cannot complete delivery. We are trying to get the security access our driver needs for this delivery" is still unchanged in their system. I really don't know what to do anymore and how to escalate this issue further. I suggested to have the parcel delivered to a nearest UPS collection point but I get no reply to this suggestion. Clearly there is no communication within their departments or systems between Ireland and their customer service in India.
Also, two tickets have been raised to find a solution to this problem but to no avail. Stay away from UPS!

Please make it possible to give negative stars for UPS

Honestly, I would give negative stars if possible. Never, ever, ever arrives as scheduled. Without fail every deliver date gets "revised"; ie. pushed out by 3 - 7 days. Updates are just plain lies: "attempted delivery" (no evidence at doorbell, security cameras etc), "needs additional address info" (address is exactly as required in the invoice and on UPS system), and best of all "We are trying to get the security access our driver needs for this delivery" when I live in a rural village and don't even have a gate on the driveway. UPS successfully defeats FedEx for worst delivery service on the island of Ireland.

Appalling.

Appalling.
Finding how to call them is so difficult, the options on the call centre are mental, the agents are always nice but they always claim that someone will call you within 24h. They don't.
