This is honestly the worst exchange in Vancouver. It takes them almost a month to transfer money.

I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision.
In November 2025, I transferred funds to Vanex after they confirmed both the exchange rate and the amount I would receive in Canada. They acknowledged receiving the full amount, and I was expecting to receive about $21,000 CAD. To date, I have only received $6,000, and the remaining $15,000 has not been paid.
Over several weeks, I was given different explanations — including bank delays, holds, and promises of follow-ups — but no firm payment date. When I visited their Coquitlam branch, I met multiple other customers facing the same issue: deposits made, but payouts delayed or not delivered.
A representative also acknowledged that the business was facing financial difficulties. Despite this, they continued posting exchange rates and appeared to operate as usual, without providing clear timelines or written commitments for repayment.
I have reported my case to the RCMP, BC Financial Services Authority, and Small Claims Court, and I’m currently pursuing legal action to recover the unpaid amount.
I’m sharing this review so others are aware of my experience. I hope Vanex will resolve outstanding payments and communicate clear timelines to affected customers. Until then, I would advise others to proceed with caution.
Liars
They abused the trust that had existed for many years, and for a month now, they have failed to make two of my payments. They neither refund the money nor carry out the transfer. In the coming days, I will file a complaint against them. They have also expired with FINTRAC. I recommend that anyone who they owe money file a complaint immediately and not be deceived by their words. It is unclear what they have done with our money, but this is precisely called theft. Our lives have been affected. Their employees keep lying one after another and try to stall for time. Do not trust what they say—they do not transfer or pay anyone’s money. They claim they are registered with FINTRAC, but they are not, and this is a clear example of fraud and scamming. Do not let them get away with it, and do not wait.
VANEX: The WORST of the both worlds! No Payments, No Refunds!

the last transaction on Nov.21st was supposed to take "up to one week" as per usual. it has been 3 weeks, and they claim they've been in court battles over the last 18 months, now have 1 shareholder instead of 2 and that means they are holding all the customer money hostage until "Feb.2026" while also providing NO REFUNDS!
meanwhile a horrible attitude, ZERO regards for customers!

I have been a client of this exchange office for several years, but my most recent experience was extremely disappointing.
I submitted a transaction on November 13, 2025, and was clearly promised a 6-business-day completion.
The transfer was delayed to 10 business days (15 total days) with no receipt, no written confirmation, and several contradictory updates.
During this period:
I was repeatedly told the payment had been “sent,” yet no official bank receipt was provided.
The lack of transparency caused a returned cheque and financial disruption for me.
Communication from staff became unprofessional when I asked for clarification.
In addition to the significant delay and lack of transparency, I also experienced unprofessional and dismissive behavior from the staff during follow-ups.
When I requested clear updates, I received several disrespectful and unprofessional responses such as:
“The important thing is that we have already sent it.”
“If the recipient wanted to inform you, they would have checked their account today.”
“Before judging, ask the recipient to check their account.”
This type of tone—blaming the customer instead of taking responsibility—is unacceptable for any financial service provider.
More concerning was the fact that I was first sent a cropped and incomplete receipt, with the transaction date intentionally removed.
After insisting on the proper documentation, a new receipt was sent—showing that the payment was actually made only one hour earlier, contradicting all their repeated claims that it had been sent earlier.
The lack of professionalism, inconsistent information, avoidance of responsibility, and altered documentation raise serious trust concerns.
I am posting this review so future customers are aware of the significant delays, lack of transparency, and poor communication I experienced.

I strongly do not recommend using this exchange. Dear fellow Iranians, please be careful and avoid using their services. Their customer support is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. You never know who is handling your case, and their communication is confusing and unreliable.
It’s been over two weeks since I sent money from Iran, and I still haven’t received any update. Before I made the transfer, they didn’t explain anything clearly or tell me how long the process would take. After the payment, they stopped responding properly.
I’ve worked with other exchanges, and even the slowest ones were much faster and more professional than this. The stress and uncertainty they cause are just not worth it.
Please don’t use this exchange — and I also do not recommend Vanex. There are better, more reliable options out there. I feel it’s my duty to warn others so they don’t go through the same frustrating experience.

I was the victim of a scam from this called vanex group à broker took more than $13500 from my bank telling me that he would help me make money on the platform when saw that the money had gone up by more $42000 to make à withdrawal and it's to start their real scams they asked me to invest another $5000 and i replied no I want a withdrawal at least $10000 to pay my bank and I couldn't then suddenly the $42000 had gone down to $16000 then after there Was no more money I lost all the money

These people are highly unethical and do not care about your well being. Do not trust these people Stay very far away from them. NOT to be TRUSTED. For your own financial well being stay far away from these people. They are basically gambling with your money and will not allow you to withdraw your money when you request to do so. They will continue to push for you to make high risk trades. STAY AWAY. They refuse to make margin calls. They will prevent you from cancelling a trade if under 100% margin level.
