Lisa was very pro-active on the menu design
Lisa worked closely with me over 4 iterations of the menu, over a period of about 6 days. She always responded to my emails very quickly, and made pro-active suggestions to limit the overall cost, for the 5 catering periods during our 1-day symposium (70 registrations). The catering for the event eventually went off very smoothly. A number of participants commented how excellent the food was, and the beverage & drinks service was also very professional.

Mixed up order
The food was lovely but unfortunately a mix up with our order meant it was delayed being delivered and we were rushing to plate up in the end. Luckily, I was in the kitchen helping set up and realised it wasn't what I had ordered.

The food was very fresh and tasty and there was enough of it to cater for the quoted number of people.
The only downside was the delivery - there were some changes but the delivery was sent to our office and not the actual venue next door

The sandwiches were amazing, but not so impressed with the rice paper rolls. Normally VB is very good, so I won't be ordering the rice paper rolls again.

Excellent service - arrived on time and the food was delicious. My only comms t is that the chicken tacos were a little bland. Overall a great experience and we would definitely use Vanilla Blue again.

Vanilla Blue Catering delivered an excellent service for our recent Research Day. Their communication was particularly strong—they kept us informed ahead of delivery, including notifying us when the driver was approaching, which made coordination seamless. The food arrived on time, well-packaged to retain warmth, and presented professionally.
The team was friendly and genuinely helpful during the planning stage. They provided thoughtful advice on quantities and offered inclusive suggestions to accommodate a range of dietary requirements, including vegan options. This made the ordering process straightforward and reassuring.
The menu selection is a clear strength. There is a wide variety of fresh, gourmet options available across different packages, catering to diverse tastes and budgets. This flexibility makes them a reliable choice for events of varying sizes and styles.
While the overall experience was very positive, continuing to expand clearly labelled dietary options on menus (particularly for allergens) would make selection even easier for event organisers managing complex requirements.
Overall, a professional and dependable gourmet catering provider that combines quality food with strong customer service. Pretty sure Vanilla Blue Catering is on speed dial from now on!
