Unreliable infrastructure, terrible support, overpriced, stay away.
Ran a VPS server for 5+ years. There have been a few downtimes, and a large amount of seemingly human mistakes: PTRs randomly lost, IPv6 allocations randomly disappear, expired SSL certificates on their website etc. On server downtimes, their Control Panel's VNC access does not work, so you have to go through support. Their support is a catastrophe. One time they fixed a downtime after hours since opening a ticket, just rebooting and without actually providing any response to the ticket. To date we have tickets open for 5 months without answer.
A few days ago, for the 3rd time in a few months, the server went down and was restored manually after many hours since opening a ticket. No explanation. This one time, we opened a high-priority ticket to emergency support nearly 2 days ago and still no response, server still down.
Their pricing was tripled a few months ago, but their service saw no improvement. VanVPS should sell maple syrup, so they can choose when to stay up for business and when not to. Until they do, we strongly recommend against them.
For other Canadian VPS alternatives, look at: cirrushosting, nixcom, extravm, lunanode, servarica or edis.
