Regarding the timing of your refunds, it’s important to note that this largely depends on how quickly the store processes their payment. Typically, stores take between 15–30 business days to pay after we invoice them. You can monitor the status of your claims directly in your account, and we’ll notify you as soon as we receive payment from the store.
About our service fee, we completely understand how it can feel frustrating at times. However, we are proud to offer the lowest service fee in the market at 27% (with a minimum of €2.50 and a maximum of €90 per receipt). For larger purchases, our unique maximum fee of €90 can save you hundreds of euros compared to other providers. If you find a lower service fee elsewhere, please let us know, and we’ll gladly match it to ensure you always get the highest refund possible.
Our service fees support the complexities of VAT refund processing, including technology development, working with stores and Customs departments, and offering integrated payment solutions. These efforts help streamline the process for you, and we are actively working towards further reducing fees—we actually lowered our fee from 28% to 27% this year.

Service is good . Payment is fast. Only issue is finding the shop name as I have to scroll through the list and sometimes the name and address is different. Like the same name is of different address block number on the Vatfree listing. Of the same address has a different shop name. In the end I went for shop name to submit

Regarding the difficulty in finding the correct store, the shop list is designed to help locate stores by either the name on the receipt or the address. I noticed that the store name on your receipt is only a partial version of the full name as it’s registered in our shop list, which may have caused the confusion.
If you can’t find the correct store, you have the option to add it as a new store during the registration process. Rest assured, our team carefully reviews each claim and will make any necessary adjustments to ensure the store details match the purchase receipt.

It was very easy to get my tax refund. You complete your transaction by following the directions on the mobile application and uploading the requested documents to the system. The system works safely and properly.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that waiting for your VAT refund can be inconvenient. We send invoices for VAT refund claims to stores two (2) times a month on Tuesdays, and the timing of the refund can depend on how quickly the store processes the payment.
In your case, the process took 10 days—from the moment of claim registration to the requested payout—which falls within the parameters of what we strive for in terms of efficiency.
Please note that for credit card payments, a transaction fee of €2 is applied. We understand this may be frustrating, especially if this is the only available payment method for you. Unfortunately, this fee comes directly from the payment providers, and we have no control over it.
