Veg In A Box Avis 

My company supplied Veg In A Box with sauces and condiments and we were left with an unpaid bill, received loads of promises of payment but never got that settled. By the looks of it this company is now ripping off customers as well as suppliers so everybody should stay away it seems!

Julie Corcutt is a liar and a fantasist. She blamed many factors on her appaling behaviour, such as her husband having a stroke and being in hospital for 4 months, however the silly old bat didn't realise her Facebook profile was publicly visible and I could see all her holiday photos and wonderful days out with all the family. She is a serial liar, do not waste your money as she will lie, cheat and steal from you

I am both sad and pleased to read the negative reviews. Pleased because it is a relief that I am not going insane.
Like many on this page I wanted to support local but was let down countless times by Julie.
I would wait in for deliveries and they didn't show. Orders would be incorrect when they eventually turned up. Items missing.
Sometimes orders didn't show for days and she only spoke to me because I called her and asked. Each time I was gaslit on an industrial scale. From significant injuries, to family tragedies, to bad traffic, to workers not showing up.......there was always something. I began to think Julie was the unluckiest woman on the planet but reading the comments here I am not sure what to believe. She made me feel like I was in the wrong for expecting a service.

Do not order from this lady. I concur with other users that she is very likely to take your money and run.

Do not use this company. You will never receive your goods. You will be given a string of lies and excuses as to why you didn’t and to top it all off, you won’t get your refund. The business is a sham with a con artist running it.

Purchased a box she took the money. Upfront and kept delaying delivery I asked for a refund still waiting for her to reply back so contacted my bank and form to police

I ordered from Veg in a box 3 times. Each time was exhausting. Every order was delivered late after numerous excuses, to the point of having to go shopping during the delay of my order.
Every time I made contact to ask where my order was, she treated me like she hadn't heard from me numerous times before and came up with an excuse, a friend had died, her partner had twisted his ankle, caught in traffic.....
All the meat was very short dated, so everything had to be frozen.
The produce was good, which is why I ordered 3 times, but I won't order again.

Absolutely shocking,business should be shut down,taking money for orders and then proceeding to make up every excuse under the sun why she can’t deliver,try and confront her and she will just block you and keep your money with no turn up with the purchase 😡,people go else where you’ll get better stuff for your money then supporting this lady who is scamming people !

Not to forget not paying the suppliers either so it’s a endless circle of the meat company not being paid and nor the customers 🖕

Previously had a good experience using veg in a box but more recently, I unfortunately would not recommend. I paid for a delivery which did not arrive and now I am having to chase to receive a refund and getting no response from the seller. Very disappointing as I like to support small local business.

Does not fulfill orders, makes excuses all the time and is very unprofessional. She owes suppliers ££££ and is not a genuine, honest person.

Non stop scamming, unable to fulfill deliveries but yet still advertises to sell to new customers? Should be shut down

Please DO NOT use this company. I previously held back from writing a review as I find it very difficult to write about businesses in a negative context even if it’s fallen below the expected standards. However after seeing multiple people asking for refunds and them being blocked on Facebook for giving honest and constructive feedback, I feel obligated to warn others. This company is a complete shambles and is causing a lot of upset and harm to others. My experience was that I placed many regular orders over a period of 6-9 months, I counted myself as a loyal customer despite being constantly let down with delivery dates and having to go out shopping on several occasions because they hadn’t arrived with my order. When they did arrive it was always at 9-10pm at night after waiting in all day. I believe they only delivered on these occasions because I kept chasing throughout the day.
The final straw was when I brought a box that I didn’t really need because they were begging for orders on Facebook. This box didn’t arrive after 7 days of chasing. It then took me a further month to get my money back.
There is no accountability and constant excuses, that has been the case for almost 12 months. Other people were not as fortunate and did not receive a refund so I feel a responsibility to alert others - please don’t believe the other good reviews because I fell for that too. The meat and veg was of good quality but you can find this cheaper at the local butchers and farm shops/ wider known veg box companies. The quality will be the same.
Finally, If you a have been unfortunate enough to be sucked in by this company and are struggling to get a refund, ask for a chargeback from your bank and they will process it for you.

Ordered a box, it was not delivered when it said it would be. When it arrived it came in a Lidl bag. The meat was warm. It was full of veg to make it look bulked up. When you question or say anything to this lady she will block you and delete comments. Have since found out she owes money to a lot of suppliers but continues to advertise boxes when she can’t deliver what has already been placed.

I would proceed very cautiously before ordering from veg in a box. I have had two boxes in the past, around 5/6 years ago and these were fantastic. I recently saw that they said they were struggling on there Facebook page and asking for orders to support the business. I decided I wanted to support them and local suppliers, so I ordered a meat and veg box for over £100. I paid this up front, without any concern as I had previously used the company a few years ago with no issues. The day the delivery was due I waited in all day with my toddler to receive the order, nothing arrived and no correspondence from them at all, until I chased this up at the end of the day. They gave a valid reason for not delivering but then kept delaying and delaying the order. I was working the next few days and this was stressful trying to ensure someone would be around to receive the order so this could be refrigerated with the meat etc. Sadly the postponements continued and then I was on holiday so it was no longer convenient for this to keep being moved on and on. Therefore I requested to cancel and be refunded- fast forward to now, still no refund nearly 10 weeks later despite chasing this over and over. Constant excuses. Extremely unprofessional. I have been really dissatisfied and disappointed from start to finish and I am gutted as I was really looking forward to getting my box and had hoped to become a regular customer. I had also told my friends and work colleagues who were also interested- I have now sadly had to warn them not to order from this company. The business seems to be very disorganised and going through some very difficult times, I can see I am not the only person to have this issue.
With no sign of any money back despite engaging over and over with them, I have now had to take this further with my Bank and Action fraud etc.

Unable to deliver x 4 times when promised. Had to chase myself. I said I would go police and trading standards if no delivery. Lots of excuses why couldn't deliver. End of the day contract between a buyer and seller is I order, I pay, seller preps order and delivers to expected quality. Potatoes were soft on delivery and I had to discard them. Will not be using again.

Didn't deliver as promised. Kept giving excuses why they couldn't deliver. Ended up not responding to communication about a refund.

Ended up having to spend a lot of time placing a chargeback via the bank and only then did they respond in a very aggressive way with more excuses.

A scam company that takes your money and doesn't deliver the goods promised, avoid.

You've just blocked me because I asked for my money back. You made me wait 4 days longer than you originally said, never gave me any updates, then said it was going to be longer again. Give me my money back Julie!!! So much for not being dishonest!! What do you call this?! Do not buy from this company - this is the secnd time they've messed me about! NOT reliable or professional!!!

Do not order from this woman, let me down 5 times in the last 3 weeks, now blocked me for no reason, guessing I will not get my money back either.

She keeps posting these box's for sale but she was supposed to turn up Saturday never arrived she was ill Monday never turned up as was away and today never turned up as shes got other things on. I have emptied my freezer and made sure we were ready and she jist doesn't turn up. All we go was a sorry and hoping to see my money in my account again. So unreliable

This lady is not trustworthy owing her staff money for over a year and becareful what she says as she is just a blagger . Check where your fruit and veg come from also .. not to be trusted

Numerous failed promises of delivery, finally asked for a refund, was also messed around in getting monies back. Could be a great business if someone more organised and together was running the show
