I won a pet photoshoot and my daughter Emily and I took our dogs - Emily’s staffy puppy and my old schnauzer. We had a wonderful time- Ben was great with both dogs and the photos are stunning!
It was so hard to choose which ones to have.
Made extra special as Muffin my schnauzer has a lot of health challenges including being nearly blind and deaf & I was concerned she and Juno the very excitable puppy would be overwhelmed.
The photos made us very emotional and we had great support to make decisions as to what to choose

We had such a wonderful experience here. Eleanor was excellent. She made us feel so welcome, comfortable, and cozy with no stress at all. I felt like we were doing a photo shoot at home. She knew what she was doing and was just a super star.

We were particularly impressed with the newborn shoot which wasn’t easy. The way Eleanor was so calm with our newborn baby and so patient was just amazing.

Another shout out to Juliet who was very patient with our time with the viewing. We were so confused on what to pick. However, she gave us the perfect solution and helped us make an informed decision.

This studio and the experience itself is truly remarkable. Thank you to everyone for such a lovely experience we are always going to cherish 💜

Joseph did an amazing job capturing such special moments for our family, he made the whole photoshoot feel relaxed and natural for me, my wife, and even our cat Cassie, which isn’t easy! His professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail really showed in every shot, and the final photos turned out absolutely beautiful, we couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for high-quality, meaningful photos.

We won a bump2baby photoshoot and we were able to get it done a couple days ago. Callum and Izzy were our photographers and they were absolutely amazing, we had fun doing the shoot and seeing our precious little one in all the adorable poses and positions. We came in today and Ricky and Jordan sat down with us and looked at our movie with us and we’ve fallen even more in love with our daughter from the amazing photos and we even look good in our family photos too! Thank you all so much for your time and effort and being so kind it’s been a lovely experience and we’d come to see you guys again, we can’t wait to get our photos back and get them put up in our home now!

They contacted me themselves for the newborn photoshoot then asked for 25£ we attended the photoshoot then the cheapest bundle they offered started from 900£ n on top of that they did not refunded my REFUNDABLE 25£ n later came to know that its a norm they don't refund it.. .n same I have not got my 25£ n a free photo that came with a voucher ... firstly they were happy n later when they knew we are not buying their behaviour changed

From dread to all smiles instead

Our experience with Venture Photography Studio Leicester

I originally booked this as a treat for my wife and daughter… and if I’m honest, I needed quite a bit of convincing to go along.

The idea of a photoshoot filled me with a quiet sense of dread.

I pictured awkward poses, forced smiles, and counting down the minutes until it was over.
(Not really my thing)

From the moment we arrived, though, things started to shift.

Parking was easy, and as soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. We were invited to relax in a comfy seating area and offered a cuppa, maybe a small touch, but it helped settle the nerves more than I expected.

Looking through their photo books, it quickly became clear this wasn’t going to be the stiff, staged experience I’d built up in my head. They focus on capturing real, “in the moment” family connections, and that immediately put me a bit more at ease.

There were also a few thoughtful touches along the way that I won’t spoil, but they really added to the experience.

Then we met our photographer, Louis, and honestly, that’s when any remaining doubts disappeared.

From the second she picked up the camera, her energy and passion completely changed the mood. Instead of feeling awkward, we were laughing the whole time. I never thought I’d say this, but I genuinely enjoyed it.
(Although, to be fair, our daughter absolutely stole the spotlight, we were just the supporting cast!)

My advice is if you have something that’s important to you, clothing, sporting or an activity you love. Take it along Louis was able to build these into the photoshoot amazingly well!

The photoshoot time flew by, there was no clock watching from Louis, she kept the pace well and I’m pretty sure we went over our allotted time !

At the end we already felt excited to see the end results…

We were then shown the different pricing options and packages, and everything was explained clearly without feeling overwhelming or pushy.

Before we left, Louis took us on a quick tour of the front studio, showing us finished photos in situ which was a nice touch and made the whole experience feel even more comprehensive

Louis had some of her own photography on display, where she had won awards, really reassuring! (And great too)

A week later, we returned to view the photos, this time with Ricky. Once again, we were made to feel completely welcome, no pressure, no hard sell, just a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where we could see all our family photos

And those photos… simply, just wow!!!!

Louis captured our family exactly as we are: natural, genuine, and full of personality.

Ricky then guided us through choosing what would work best for our home, offering helpful advice without ever making it feel like a hard sales pitch.

I went from dreading the entire experience to already talking about coming back, and next time, we’ll be bringing more of the family along.

Louis, thank you for capturing our family so beautifully.

Ricky, thank you for helping us choose a finial piece we’ll love seeing every day.

We had a family photo shoot booked and had a voucher for a free small framed photo at hand. So there was nothing to lose.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the ever warm and welcoming Greta. We felt at home already. When Emma was ready for us, we moved into the photo studio. Emma has a positive and infectious energy that made the photo shoot ever so fun for us all. Our kids are certainly not shy and lapped up the energy in the room. Emma was a pro at directing the shoot, but also was very open to the ideas we had to offer. We even managed to get a couple of pet shots in as well. Lots of fun.

We came in at a later date to see the show reel they created for us. This time the owner, Jonathon, was at hand to patiently talk us through the showreel and subsequent options. We all shared our views of the photos (With extended detours of animated discussions on life in general). He seemed to be as excited about the results as we were. The showreel was sequenced in a delightfully emotion inducing way (my wife had a tear in her eye). We navigated the options and came away with more than just the free photo which was originally offered. Jonathon worked out a great deal and we now have a beautifully framed photographs that we proudly hang in our home. The children also have their own unique framed photos they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

All in all, Venture South Woodford, who are in a feel good industry, are very aware that when a family makes a decision on capturing these precious moments, it’s about the whole experience. In my opinion, the whole experience was a pleasure from beginning to end. I can not praise this photo studio enough. Highly Recommended!

Convinced me I should pay an extortionate amount for photos when in a vulnerable state of becoming a new mum.
When I changed my mind and said I wanted a refund they said I couldn’t have one.
There was only a purple of photos I liked and the rest was absolutely terrible.
Would not recommend this to anyone.

Absolutely lovely experience with the photographer who made us feel so comfortable. We are definitely coming back when family gets bigger!!!

We had the most amazing bump to baby photoshoot with Niamh at the Fulham studio. From start to finish, she was so patient, calm, and genuinely lovely to work with. She made us feel completely at ease, which made such a difference—especially with a newborn!

Niamh took her time with everything and never made us feel rushed, creating such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. You can really tell how experienced and passionate she is about what she does. The whole experience felt really special, and we’ll cherish the memories (and photos!) forever.

Our viewing session with Kirsty was just as amazing. She was incredibly patient while we took our time fiddling around choosing different photos and designs, never rushing us and helping us feel confident in our choices. It made the whole process enjoyable rather than overwhelming.

We couldn’t recommend them enough!

I signed up to the baby club and received a free photoshoot experience with a free mini frame. The photoshoot was with Katie who is a baby whisperer! She was brilliant with our son and got the most beautiful shots, we came back a few days later for a family viewing with Cody who took us through the photos that Katie edited and put together into a movie and then took his time and went through the pictures so we could pick out our favourites.
I would have given 5 stars however it was just too expensive for us, in saying that they do offer payment plans for their specialist wall art and digital photos. They’re also breast feeding friendly and have baby changing facilities!
Staff: amazing staff, so accommodating, so kind, very knowledgeable and friendly. They also offer beverages upon arrival.
Location: inside of big Tesco in beeston.
Parking: Tesco, 3 hours however they will validate with your number plate if you go over.

I received a voucher for a complimentary photoshoot and photo through an expectant mother promotion. Having used Venture previously, I was aware that these promotions are often used to introduce customers to their services, with the intention of upselling their higher-priced products.

The photoshoot itself was generally a positive experience. I attended with my two children (aged 5 months and 3 years), and the photographers were patient, friendly, and very good with them. In particular, they managed to bring our usually shy daughter out of her shell, which was lovely to see. However, although we were clear from the outset that we only wanted photos of the children, we felt somewhat pressured into having family and couple photos taken for their “portfolio.”

Before attending, I had researched their pricing structure and set a clear budget. Unfortunately, when we viewed the photos, we were quite disappointed. The images had been heavily edited to the point where our children didn’t look like themselves—their complexions and features appeared noticeably altered. It felt strange that while our daughter’s skin had been overly airbrushed, yet small things like drool on our baby’s clothes hadn’t been edited out, which we would have expected.

To be fair, the staff member did offer to ask the photographer to make adjustments. However, the extent of the editing had already put us off. We discussed our budget, and she mentioned some past offers that could be applied, bringing the cost to around £200 for two photos, or several hundred pounds more for digital copies. Ultimately, we didn’t feel the photos justified that level of expense and decided to stick with the single image included in the offer.

After making this decision, the atmosphere noticeably changed. The previously warm and chatty interaction from the staff member became quite minimal and cold , which left us feeling that the level of service was dependent on how much we were willing to spend.

We were advised that our order would arrive within 6–8 weeks, but it actually took 11 weeks and required chasing. Additionally, my £25 deposit was not automatically refunded and also had to be followed up, arriving some weeks later.

Overall, I found the experience to feel somewhat disingenuous unless you are prepared to spend a significant amount of money, and unfortunately, the final product did not meet our expectations in terms of quality.

Hi it’s Shamala me and my family had a fabulous experience at the photo shoot at venture studio,i had signed up on the bumptobaby app where i was offered the E-voucher thats how we heard about Venture studios and glad we did! Evelyn our photographer was absolutely great with my daughter’s, my toddler is usually clingy with her dad but seemed like she was very happy to see Evelyn, playing around her and giving smiles, Evelyn was very welcoming made us comfortable while we did the shoot,we all loved our photoshoot experience as it was our first time as a family, that’s why i got pretty white dresses for my daughters, then me and my husband came for the cinematic viewing was so overwhelming and emotional seeing the video shown and the photos, we loved it all, Beth was very nice explained to us all the packages they offer. We were not planning to buy the frames but after viewing our photos especially our daughters we couldn’t resist that we purchased the family sharing package and do not regret at all, Can’t wait for our three frames that we have chosen, the price is on the higher side but if you can afford it would definitely recommend as you have the pay monthly options and also can pay over a certain time if you can’t pay within the 6/12 months thank you for making our experience memorable venture studios.

Misleading “Competition Win” – Hidden Costs and Disappointing Experience

I recently had an experience with Venture Studios that I feel others should be aware of before engaging with their “competitions.”
On 28th February 2026, I was contacted to say I had “won” a cake smash photoshoot via their social media. Naturally, I was excited as this was for my granddaughter’s first birthday. However, during the booking call, I was asked to pay £25 to “secure the date.” This immediately felt misleading—if something is truly a prize, why is payment required? I was told this was standard and that I would receive a photo in return, so I reluctantly agreed.
After booking, additional costs started to appear. I was told there would be a £15 charge for the cake (which I declined by providing my own). Then, just before the shoot, I was informed I would need to bring my own props (banners, toys, etc.), which was completely unexpected and added unnecessary stress. This is not what you would expect from a professional studio experience.
While the staff on the day were polite and welcoming, the biggest shock came afterwards—photo packages start from £995. This was never disclosed beforehand. Advertising something as a “win” only to present customers with extremely high-priced packages feels very misleading and unfair.
Other key points to be aware of:
You have to return on another day just to view the photos
The “free” photo is essentially covered by the £25 booking fee
There is no clear upfront pricing shared before attending
After researching, similar cake smash photoshoots are typically around £300 and often include images, which makes this pricing feel hugely disproportionate.
I am now in the difficult position of having attended a shoot for a special milestone, but realistically being unable to afford the photos. What should have been a lovely experience has been completely overshadowed by unexpected costs and lack of transparency.
Overall, this felt like a misleading marketing tactic rather than a genuine competition win. I would strongly advise others to ask for full pricing and details upfront before committing.

Excellent customer service. My daughter and I had a great time during the photoshoot and Jas was great during the photo viewing session. She was very helpful in terms of helping find the best most valuable option and the best framed products for our space. Highly recommend. Thanks.

Won a pet photoshoot for myself and my golden retriever Bonnie. Lois was our photographer and made us feel at ease with the initial phone calls to find out a little bit more about us to make the session perfect. The shoot itself was great fun - Bonnie was a natural and Lois was so good with her.
We had the viewing a few days later with Ricky who was very patient and informative. He gave us all the time we needed and went through everything clearly, and his experience and help was invaluable. Would highly recommend!

We had Ben do our newborn photo shoot and we couldn’t have felt more at ease, he was understanding, patient and so friendly. Ben was very professional but it also felt like we have known him for years. He is a credit to your company.
