Brought my car in for an update to be met with the sales rep I previously reported to their manager for unprofessional conduct. They had it all day said the software was up to date which confirmed by MG themselves it is not! As a result I asked for a complaint to be raised as a result apparently I'm blacklisted from VERTU as a whole? Avoid this place honestly!! I will NEVER return here and I honestly hope they lose their franchise.

Kept me upto date with everything throughout the process..
Then when my vehicle was ready for collection, he notified me and arranged a suitable time and day that was convenient to myself...
I collected my new car on June 30th 2026, Liam was waiting for me, offered me a drink from the machine inside the dealership off which I accepted and got a hot chocolate 🤭..
He checked everything was done on the computer with regards to tax/insurance etc..
Submitted my good condition payment (£250)..
Then went through everything/gadgets etc in my new vehicle, even set the sat navigation for me with my home address in Bradford and on departure told me to drive safely....
THANK YOU LIAM 5*....

I was look after by Gemma Phelps from walking to Vauxhall Chesterfield to the time I took delivery of my car .nothing was too much for Gemma.The way I was look after make me want to go back there again. Also thank you to the gentlemen who took the photo for us of the new car..I wished every car dealers was like them .I have been to so many car dealers but the support and care from Gemma and the Team was a different experience to me the welcoming feeling I could go on forever praising them .Thank you Gemma for making my visit super easy and comfortable all the way.

Lovely and helpful staff. Not pushy or anything. Ended up speaking with an MG salesperson, not vauxhall, but never tried to steer me onto one of "their" vehicles instead.
I have never bought a brand new car, so no experience, but I put 4 stars only because it seemed like a slow process, 2 weeks. If that's a good timeframe, then count it as 5stars. I'm used to 2nd had ones, in and out in a few hours, so may just be me.

Your customer service is appauling for the amount of money spent on repairs to my wife's vehicle. Putting the blame on my wife for not explaining grinding sounds from "rust on the discs for being sat" even though Brandon had assured me once the work to the radar had been done it was taken for a test drive to check the issues were rectified. That being said how you would even consider handing a customer back a vehicle with a loud grinding sound stating the vehicle is ok, which is poor customer service with no clear explanation given on receipt of the vehicle after payment was made. So it's ok to take the money off your customers without ensuring high satisfaction of the service paid for??
The rudeness and unprofessional attitude of your staff is a problem. That needs to change and how your staff speak to people seriously needs some thought and training, because basic customer service needs are not being met or listened to. Quite frankly it has disappointed my wife and she is taking her business elsewhere as a result of this poor experience with your staff.

The whole buying experience was very relaxed, no pressure. We were able to brows at our leisure. Test drive the car we liked and the admin side was very sleek. Ben our sales chap was very friendly, honest and navigated us through the process vey well.

It's been nearly 2 years since I bought my MG4 EV from what was then Bristol Street Vauxhall/MG Chesterfield. I received an invitation from Vertu to attend an event at Chesterfield MG promising time limited discounted prices, so I went. I had wondered if the two sales staff , young salesman Ryan and his franchise manager Ashley that had helped me buy the MG4 EV were still there and must admit I felt so glad when I saw that they were. It felt good actually, I was reassured. Having said that, all the staff I saw here were well presented, polite and helpful, but especially Ryan and Ashley, the dynamic duo.
This time I went for the MG3 hybrid trophy model. Why? The EV range anxiety thing never really went away for me. There were times when I wanted to drive somewhere beyond the range of a fully charged battery, but didn't because of the cost of charging on the road. The MG3 hybrid trophy has over 500 miles range on a single tank of petrol. A clever computer works out the most efficient combination of petrol engine and batteries to give best mileage and no need to plug in. Personally, I feel that some folks are too quick to criticise and I try to give credit where credit is due and Vertu motors Chesterfield and it's staff really do deserve it.

Whilst the excellent premises (free coffee, clean toilets and modern building) were the icing on the cake, the main reason for our 5 star rating was the friendly but efficient, clear but concise, way Holly conducted the sale and purchase of our car exchange. At no point did we feel under any pressure, and in the online negotiations we were given all the information we needed in a short period of time. We are very pleased with our new car and think we got good value for our money.
