They were recommended by our vet practice in Barton but I was very disappointed. It’s been 2 weeks and I am still waiting for them to send me the blood results. The vet consultant mentioned he would call us for the pancreatic results but still 2 weeks later silence even I called them twice. They don’t seem to care and still now they don’t know what is wrong with my cat. Also they are not accommodating and was waiting for 40 mins for our initial consultation. Very disappointing I wouldn’t recommend them… paying so much money … I better go to somewhere else next time.

Davies was recommended to us by an out of hours vet. Whilst the vets were over an hour away from where we live, we found them extremely accommodating. The buildings were spotlessly clean, and very welcoming. Each person I spoke to was lovely and knowledgeable. My cat was looked after extremely well and has recovered really well after her complex surgery.

Excellent care & Support from Kat & Lara in Cardiology they supported me and the care they gave to my little dog Max was outstanding. Also the care from ICU who looked after Max when he was admitted. They kept me with regular updates. Highly recommend to any one who has a poorly pet

Luca & Daniella were absolutely superb with my cat Milo. Electro chemotherapy and regular treatment but they could not have been more supportive or helpful!
Recently had a lump removed from my dog, Ronan and team worked hard to ensure that my boy received the best care.
Would highly recommend!
Their staff is super friendly and overly helpful. Their internal medicine doctor Dan Thompson was highly qualified, thorough, very patient and took the time to explain everything in detail.
PS. The complimentary coffee and hot chocolate machine is simply the icing on the cake.
I had an excellent experience at Davies Veterinary and cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the service was seamless, professional, and delivered with real care. The systems in place work very well, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Dr Sam was absolutely outstanding. She is not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly kind, friendly, and approachable. Most importantly, she was a great listener, taking the time to understand every detail about my lovely Nabat. Her compassion and expertise gave me complete confidence, and she offered the very best solution for my pet’s needs.
It is rare to find such a combination of professionalism and genuine warmth in veterinary care. I am deeply grateful to Dr Sam and the whole team at Davies Veterinary.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Davies Veterinary to anyone looking for trustworthy, expert, and compassionate care for their pets. They truly set the standard and deserve every bit of recognition on Trustpilot and Google Reviews.
Many thanks,
I saw the lovely Krizia today with my dog Milo who needed surgery on his tail. From the moment walking into the place I was made to feel welcome and put at ease. Krizia was so friendly and put my nerves at ease, her interaction with Milo was warm and it showed how much she cares for animals. She answered all my questions, nothing was too much trouble. I’m certain Milo got extra cuddles and he was incredibly well looked after. Thank you Krizia and the rest of the team I met today (14/7/25). Highly recommend this place. My 2nd visit - last year they cared for Milo’s sister.
Rob Davis was very knowledgeable and reassuring in his care of our dog Frankie; taking the time to fully explain the procedure and not rush us in any way. It felt very personal and compassionate, we feel fortunate to have been referred here and confident that Frankie received the best care possible.
The premises are good, clean, and staff are welcoming and helpful.
Facilities to exercise pets in a lawn with benches and seating near the car parking is lovely.
AMAZING ! Took care of my special boy even though it didn't work out for him i couldn't fault them in anything they did eternally grateful for there care and compassion.
Very professional and kind staff.Highly recommended. They understand and help accurate and fast.
At a very traumatic and difficult time the staff made me feel listened to, empathy and not rushed in anyway, they were kind to myself and my poorly dog and ultimately saved his life, I was given false information from my own vet that he had a tumour and euthanasia was suggested a couple of times, I chose to see a specialist and Davies investigated properly to find he has nothing more than an infection and bladder stones and can be treated. I can’t thank Davies enough as I almost lost my dog for nothing!
On two occasions I have taken my dogs to these people and on both occasions my dogs died. The first question that you are asked is “ How are you going to pay?” and that sets the tone for the entire experience. The costs of treatment are absolutely colossal and unless you have incredible insurance, you will have to dig deep into your pockets.
To be fair the treatment of my first dog was thorough and professional but the actual costs were off the scale. The bill consisted of 4 sheets of A4 with absolutely everything charged at maximum cost from cotton swabs to visual checks. I ended up having to pay £11,000 !!!
My second dog died after an operation on her liver. We were badly advised on the likelihood of success and s he had to be euthanised. The vet insisted that 2 MRI scans were necessary prior to operation, with each costing £1500. We clinged to hope as we loved our dog and the vets know this s o encourage down avenues that lead to them maxing out profit.
Their concern, all the time, is payment, how you’re going to pay etc etc.
Do yourself a very big favour and avoid these people unless you want to lose an extremely large amount of money
We were seen by 2 amazing vets.
They examined her thoroughly and she was diagnosed within the day.
Nick the neurologist stuck with us throughout and called to say that our pup was ready to pick up. He was very compassionate and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer vet to give us the news.
We would definitely come back here again!

We had a very upsetting and disappointing experience at this clinic. Our regular vet referred us here after confirming our dog had a serious bacterial infection through lab tests. But when we arrived, we weren’t even allowed inside the building — we had to speak with the vet in the garden because the clinic doesn’t have a proper isolation room or any protocol in place for handling contagious cases.
Even more frustrating, the vet told us our dog should have been scheduled as the last appointment of the day so the room could be deep cleaned afterward. But they were the ones who gave us a 9:30 AM slot — an internal scheduling error that we, as worried pet owners, are now paying the price for.
The vet was repeatedly saying she was new and that we should speak to the head of the department. We left feeling dismissed, unsupported and heartbroken — especially in such a stressful and urgent situation.
If your pet is dealing with anything more complex than a routine issue, I’d strongly recommend finding a clinic that’s actually prepared to help — not one that turns you away at the door due to their own lack of planning.
Our dog had his 2nd TPLO surgery in January. His original consultation appointment was cancelled by Davies due to a lack of surgeons and we had to wait a further week with our dog in pain. The day of his consolation we were told it was a suspected TPLO and he was kept in overnight. The surgeon said he would call us the next day after he had done some X-rays to confirm. We didn’t hear anything so I called them after lunch to be told our dog had already had surgery and was recovering.
We collected our dog the next day, he had no cover on his wound or any antibiotics. This is our 3rd TPLO in 2 yrs at Davies as one of our other dogs had the same operation too and both wounds were dressed and they were both given antibiotics as standard in the medication bag. We even paid Davies an extra £275 this time for further medication as we were old hats at the recovery for this operation and wanted to minimize our dogs pain as much as possible. The operation was carried out on the Tues, he came home Wed and he wasn’t happy, even with the extra medication he was quite unsettled, shooting around at the would and panting all through the night. We called Davies early Sat morning and told them we didn’t think he was right and we asked if he should have been given antibiotics. We were told that it depends how long the operation takes. We were advised to up his medication dose and see how he goes for a couple of days. Two days later the wound had started to open and it had clearly been leaking as there was fluid all dried around the wound. We went straight to our usual vet as we felt more trust in them to be honest. He was prescribed antibiotics and we were advised to further increase his medication dose. The following day the wound had burst open, there was a bad infection inside the wound and we called Davies as an emergency. One of the vets saw him and after a long chat we were told that the medication we paid for and the advised dose we were given would not have touched the sides for our dog. He needed to go back into surgery to have the wound flushed out and a number of further stitches to close the wound. We were told the cost of this procedure would be another £300, which we refused to pay. After the vet had a chat with the management team we were told that Davies would cover this cost as a matter of goodwill.
Overall this was a very unpleasant experience for our dog and us as his owners, seeing him in what we felt was unnecessary pain, distress and further surgery.
This was our 3rd time at Davies and it was a very disappointing experience. We have 4 dogs and very recently one was treated at the RVC which we found far superior to Davies. We received regular calls with updates on our dogs condition and we felt the care he received and the whole process far outweighed Davies.
Hopefully our dogs won’t need any further operations or specialist care but if they ever do we certainly won’t be returning to Davies.

Do not use this company they killed my boy after trying to cure a side effect from a drug which they were unaware of. The cost of killing my dog was £11,000 and which I have an outstanding balance of £7.25 but it’s not about the money they say.

I bought my dog to see Dianne and Louise (the pain team) to ensure my old arthritic dogs pain management was under control. They reviewed all her history and she had a top to tail assessment with them both to find out where else they could help and any other potential problems. They were both great! Sasha can be a bit temperamental and I bought her in pre muzzled, within 5 minutes of the appointment the muzzle was off and she was eating treats out of their hand and off the licky mat. They were amazing and made her very anxious mummy and her feel so relaxed. They gave recommendations for medication changes and alternative therapies to help keep her as comfortable as possible. Can’t thank them both enough.

The care we have received for our Labrador's heart condition, has been excellent. It is down to Pedro and the cardiology team that we actually still have Riley with us today. The follow up appointments have also been excellent and when we have been worried about anything, have always been able to speak to a member of the team. We knew the cost of the operation beforehand. It was also very well explained before our Labradors op. Yes it's expensive, but we do have good insurance. The receptionists were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them and they dealt with our pet insurance without any problems.
Thanks to this wonderful team.
