Hugely impressed with this company! I live in the Antipodes and was ordering a gift for family in the UK. The experience was excellent from start to finish. I got constant email updates right up until the (very prompt) delivery, and the courier even emailed me to check someone would be home within a set time on delivery day, as they would not leave the parcel uncollected. At a time when parcels are often stolen, and considering the recipient lives on the top floor of an apartment block, this was service plus! (It's a pity more happy customers don't leave reviews to balance out the occasional negative experiences. )

Apart from having my favourite digestif at a truly great price, Vinewhisperer offer an eclectic mix of wines and spirits to suit all tastes and most pockets. The whole process from the website navigation to the safe delivery is smooth and straightforward with no hidden extras. And, should it go wrong (as just one of my orders did owing to my error) the customer service is absolutely first class. Highly recommended

Ordered a case of wine which has been INCREDIBLY hard to track down. The website was fine, however after a few days I hadn’t had any updates so I emailed them and received a reply almost immediately (at 10pm) saying that it would be dispatched on Friday/ Saturday.

Friday I received multiple update emails and a confirmation from DHL that they were expecting it.

Had to delay the delivery 1 day so I knew I’d be available to accept it and it has arrived exactly as expected and packaged extremely well.

Not sure if the company monitor these reviews or not, but thank you for a fab experience.

Bought vintage champagne which had the best price on this website. Order placed on 17 December, delivered by DHL on the 21st. Can't fault at such busy times, would order again in future.

I will never use this firm again. My order has not arrived after 2.5 weeks and I have had no help from The Vine Whisperer’s customer service. This firm used DHL which delivered my package to the wrong address and both firms have fobbed me off to each other when I have raised this issue. I cannot recommend The Vine Whisperer.

Was nervous about ordering after seeing the reviews, but they’re stocking my favourite wine that I’ve struggled to source elsewhere. Order placed Saturday, it arrived in two working days in perfect condition.

It seems people only write bad reviews. My experience with this co is excellent. Ordered a magnum of veuve rose for my wife. Ordered in the evening, it was packed same day and posted the next, arrived in good condition. No problems at all. Thanks

Ordered a bottle of Moet & Chandon 2013 champagne for the future for my grandson (who was born in 2013) but when received item it was 2012 on the bottle.
Contacted customer service and was informed by 'Jason' that the product description was correct according to product coding and that the photo was 'for illustration purposes only'.
Why advertise something if that is not what you are going to provide to your customers????
Fortunately had paid via PayPal who dealt with matter for me and on returning the item I received a full refund (including postage)
Cost me over £8 to send bottle back but do not think I would have received a refund without PayPal being involved as 'Jason' seemed most upset that I had escalated this with Paypal, according to his email.
I certainly do not think I would deal with or trust this company in future.

I ordered 2 bottles of Spirits and the communication through picking and packing to despatch was very good. I had Emails at every stage. Sadly Parcel Force either delivered my parcel to the wrong place or just lost it. The company re-dispatched another order to me without hesitation. This arrived today. Thank you

I was drawn to the website because I could get a good price on a case of wine that I enjoy. Ordered a box, had no confirmation e mail but I could see the money 'pending' in my account. Tried to contact them a few times to no avail, eventually I contacted Simply Wines Direct as that's who showed on the payment and then they got back to me. I have since had great communication at every stage, I just don't understand why there is zero contact for 4 days and no way to really speak to someone. Now I know how they work I probably will use them again but it can be slightly worrying and off-putting for a first time order. Seems like a scam but it's not. A few people have said the same on here so perhaps Vine Whisperer should listen to customers valuable feedback and improve their initial communication when ordering.

It all looked good, but I was uncertain when I saw that the parent company seemed to be simplywines.co.uk, who seem to have a very mixed reputation.
However, I have to say everything was absolutely fine.
Good comm's re. the order; quick delivery; very good packing. (I ordered 6 x £25 bottles of wine- all came individually packed in inflated sleeves). Would use this site again.

Ordered 6 bottles of wine and all arrived in good time although it did take 3 days to process the order. Others seem to think this is a scam site but it is not. I believe Vine whisperer is online only and likely source wines.

From the comms I received it's clear they are a small business (standard woo commerce responses) and built a website from a standard template without updating their social media or contact information, googling the phone number brought up many legitimate sites using the same template.

Improvement is needed as it's a bit of a black hole when ordering but I did get what I ordered. I would suggest adding links to a social media page, updating contact info, adding a feedback section to the website, more human responses to customers and improving the "about" section (don't appear bigger than you actually are).

Scam. No contact after order and having to go to bank to get refund.

This business is quite frankly the one of the worst out there — AVOID. I placed an order 2 weeks ago which never arrived (evidenced by tracking). I reached out for support (Jason) with my delivery which was appalling. Subsequently, I requested a refund and did this on quite a few occasions and via different channels — to which I am now being been completely ignored. As a result I have had to raised a payment dispute with my bank and flag this situation to Trading Standards. These guys are atrocious at what they do and should not be allowed to trade.

Ordered a bottle of Rum, only to find out that it wasn’t in stock and that it wouldn’t be in stock for weeks. Was told by “Jason” that my order would be cancelled. Weeks later and money is gone from my account and an item shipped, which never arrived.

Avoid this company like the plague. Very dishonest, literally stole my money.

Bought two bottles of rum, only received one. I have contacted them through their website, they have not responded. It's been over a month now.
There are no phone numbers to call and their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram links on their website are all dead ends that lead nowhere.

I cannot praise enough the standard of customer service offered by this company and in particular Jason.
I had reason to exchange some product I purchased and the whole transaction was managed without hesitation by the company. They are customer focused - highly professional and I have no hesitation in giving them the strongest commendation.
