Love the unique and interesting range of seeds they have. I appreciate the company ethos in general and am happy to support them. The packets are better than average and reseal well which is very useful. Germination rates have always been good. Delivery is also good.

Finding an unusual seed variation
Chicory – Catalogna. It is known as Italian Dandelion and it looks just like one. I bought it for sautéing but added it to salads and the taste of the young leaves is terrific. Looks good as well, vibrant green plus the slugs keep well away. Another excellent find from this great company.

I appreciate their values, the seeds being more local, supporting a small company and the quality of their products. Although their seeds are more expensive than some budget suppliers I think they are worth the extra cost.

The range of varieties is interesting and germination seems good overall. I hope they continue to increase their seed range with more varieties so I can buy more of my seeds from them.

Tropea onion seed 100% germination! Phenominal quality. Extremely pleased, now it's up to me and our north west climate. If you want something different large variety of unusual of seeds available. Seeds arrived very quickly, clear growing instructions and description on packet. Web site easy to use. Packaging pleasingly eco, brown paper, clear labelling, no plastic in sight. Prices fair and reasonable. To be honest for me the quality of the seed says it all which is why I shall be returning to buy more. Thanks Vital Seeds for your care and commitment.

The seeds I ordered last year came quickly and I had good success with them. However I have continued to enjoy the regular emails with tips on growing and cultivation. As a novice this has been so useful. I feel like I have a friend keeping me right!

I've ordered a couple of times a year from Vital Seeds for a few years now and would recommend them without hesitation. The seeds arrive promptly in their lovely Vital Seeds brown paper packets, well-labelled and with clear, simple instructions. The packets themselves are durable and have enough space to fold them over at the top if you want (like me) to not sow them all at once, and they store well. I've always had good germination rates from Vital Seeds seeds (and I'm sure most of the unsuccessful ones were user error anyway...!) and they have a thoughtful, eclectic, fun selection of seeds on offer. Not so much that you get decision paralysis, but more than enough to be a really good haul of varied seeds. The newsletters are really timely too. They seem like a nice company and I am always really pleased with my seeds. I like that they do bumper mixed packs for ease, and I also really loved the DIY "print at home" seed packet for saving your own! Keep up the great work, Vital Seeds.

Vital Seeds are a fabulous company run by genuine gardeners with love&passion for what they do. Excellent seeds, excellent subscription emails, excellent calendars. I’m a beginner gardener and their regular emails keep me up to date with planting&gardening jobs, everything explained clearly and their website is easy to navigate and looks lovely. The seeds came very quickly and I was very happy with the quality of them, especially the cucumber and courgettes which did really well last year! The mixed lettuces were wonderful too: they tasted great and were beautiful in colour and texture. I even had a friend complimenting their flavour. The flower seeds and second spring set of seeds were also really good. I try to only buy organic seeds and I was very happy to find organic Pak Choy and Tat Soi seeds here. I highly recommend this company for ethical and organic seeds and I like to support small companies too.
