Age 3 children over a year younger were put into my daughters class holding her back despite her being from 12 weeks with waterbabies.
I regret wasting so much time & money giving grace thinking money paid for the best.
Age 4 after minimal progress for 6 months we tried a local pool, our eyes were opened they operated on ability not age! she was finally learning to swim unlike the endless singing & round rounds stuff babies did, she was still doing this at age 4!!

Thank you for your lovely words about our baby and preschool programme. I am sorry to hear that you did not feel the same way at age 4. Our office team will do their upmost, to go above and beyond to ensure that our little one's are in a class based on their age and ability within the water, especially as they'll work towards specific aims and outcomes, and you can view their tracked progress on your very own parent portal. Our teachers will also feedback if classes are not quite the right suitability. At age 4, and when they are ready, our customers can go into our older programme, Swimvincible. This programme is based on ability. This is where achievements will be celebrated through certificates and badges when met. At this age, although we are very much teaching our little one's to learn to swim and working towards their stroke development and core aquatic skills, we are still very much there to show how fun swimming is. At this age, and as a core foundation that we have built upon, we will very much enjoy a skill linked to a sing-song. :) We love the independence in which their confidence and skillset shows. I am sorry that you did not have this experience with us, but I am happy to hear that your little one is getting on great in mainstream lessons. :)

Everyone is so lovely!
We started lessons when we lived in Cheltenham and loved it. Our instructor was great and made me feel very at ease especially with putting my son under water from such a young age.
We then moved to Taunton. The transfer was very easy. Everyone was very lovely when sorting it out, and we’ve been very lucky with having a very lovely instructor.
Would highly recommend!!!

We are really enjoying our water babies…
We are really enjoying our water babies classes; our instructor Jo is brilliant and makes us feel completely at ease, and keeps the classes moving and fun. Our baby seems to really enjoy being in the water, and the classes make it a more structured experience so she never gets bored!

The sessions are really tailored well
The sessions are really tailored well, water safety is a key lesson a lot of babies/children would miss out on so we love that about water babies. The sessions are fun interactive and build confidence which is important.

We absolutely love our lessons with Water Babies. We have an excellent teacher who really knows her stuff. My eldest is coming to the end of his time at WB and he is so confident in the water now and able to swim on his own

Amazing group!!
Amazing group, the teachers really take time to get to know your child and make the swimming experience the best they can to build their confidence in the water. We’ve had a few different swim teachers due to illness and moving to a different pool, but each teacher is as good as the last. Would 100% recommend to any other parents/ carers who want to get their child/ children into swimming and creating an awareness on water safety!!

It would be a 5 but I feel that Emily’s progress has been slow due to pool closures.
Trying to use credits are difficult with too few options available locally for there age group

We do apologise for the recent pool closure at your venue. We are thrilled that we are back, and the new pool liner and maintenance that was urgently required, has now been fixed. We hope you're thrilled with the fresh new look there. When a pool requires maintenance it can interfere with a little one's continuous progress, especially when unexpected, so we do apologise for the 5-week pause.
If you ever struggle to use your courtesy passes in other pools, you're very welcome to give us a call, as sometimes, we may see more from our side.
Another Exeter pool is also coming back onboard with other options in the autumn.

Wonderful Water Babies
I couldn’t recommend Water Babies more highly! Both of my children are water-confident, safe, and absolutely love swimming, which is incredibly reassuring living in Devon with so much access to water. It’s an even bigger bonus when we’re on holiday! We’ve been so lucky to have Jessie as our teacher. She’s absolutely brilliant, always bringing energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of laughs to every lesson. The children adore her, and her positive approach has helped make swimming such a fun and rewarding experience for them. Thank you, Jessie and Water Babies, for helping our children develop such an important life skill while having so much fun along the way!

Highly recommend
We’ve been doing water babies with our daughter now for over 2.5yrs and watching her confidence in the water grow has been amazing!
Not only that, she has learnt water safety skills which are so important. The teachers are lovely and the lessons have a slight structure to them, so the children know what to expect. They’re half hour long, so they don’t lose focus during the lesson or get cold. I now have a 3 month old who I will also be signing up soon.

Brilliant instructor
Emily is great ! The children adore her ! Waterbabies is very exspensive compared to another local swim lesson provider, however I feel that Emily does provide that level of teaching that I don’t feel we would get from another class. If however, we were to loose Emily I feel the other aspects of waterbabies such as pricing, poor facilities at the brainwave centre (having to park in a near by muddy layby and cross a very busy road whilst trying to carry a baby/ small child ( sometimes in the rain) , hairdryers, shower facilities, changing facilities may lead to us looking for another provider. I don’t feel the price per lesson reflects the standard of facilities at brainwave but does currently reflect the level of Emily’s instruction.

Thank you so much for your lovely review - we have to agree, Emily is amazing. We do pride ourselves at having the most trained and qualified teachers in the business. Our teachers really do go above and beyond for every lesson that takes place. We're very lucky to say that all of our teachers hold a level 3 diploma qualification and all give a magical 30 minutes to the incredible families that we get to teach. We're so pleased that you can see that. The Brainwave Centre is a hydrotherapy pool at 34'c and on weekdays, we do have to allow their own families to use the on-site car park, so sorry for this inconvenience, but we're glad there is space to park just outside. If it would make you feel comfortable, you're welcome to use a pram and leave it in the entrance foyer. If we can help in anyway, we're here to assist. Thank you for a special mention to Emily, it is so appreciated. Love Water Babies x

Excellent teaching and friendly environment. Our child has gone from 4 months old and is now nearly 3. He has an amazing water confidence, growing understanding of safety and total love for swimming!

We have loved our time at water babies…
We have loved our time at water babies learning new swimming skills that have really helped development! Every lesson with cat has been so much fun and she really cares about all her water babies !
