Just completed a ski season at Mt Washington. Had an amazing time, the group was amazing and the socials that We Are Snow organised for us were perfect. Ice hockey social actually turned us into full on supporters. The whole experience was only as good as it was because of our PMs - Ben + Caitlin. I would seriously recommend Mt Washington just so you can meet them.

Just wrapped up the BEST season ever at SilverStar! I met so many amazing people and had an unforgettable time both on and off the slopes. Huge shoutout to Emily and Nick from WeAreSno, you guys made the experience even more special.
Already counting down until next season…

After applying and paying a lot for a course in Canada I was horrified by an mysterious call from a higher up telling me I was no longer able to do that specific course. This left me feeling very let down by WAS, luckily, I was given a few options- one of which was exclusive dibs on a final spot on this Italian course (skiing level 2). Obviously I decided to do this… and in retrospect I strongly believe it was my best course of action. Sauze is a relatively cheap place to live for a ski season all while being incredibly enjoyable. Despite my poor first impression with WAS the rest of the season went along without a hitch. Our program manager made sure we had adequate transfers, occasional group activities, weekly group meals and she provided critical appliances and miscellaneous stuff to the apartments that were very barren to begin with. The actual structure of the ski tuition was a bit convoluted but the quality of teaching was great. All in all, whilst sometimes things went wrong regarding this course its my opinion that WAS handled these issues well and I hope this course can continue so that others can hopefully have as great a time as I did!

Such a fun course! Not only do you come out with a ski instructor license (assuming you pass), but it’s the most fun time. I did my course in Sauze D’oulx, the instructor’s were amazing I really improved my technique. Then in my free time the freeride was really good, and the nightlife is awesome. The course is run by some amazing people and couldn’t recommend more!

One of the best experiences of my life! Our course manager was so incredibly helpful with everything & the location was perfect - literally a 2 minute walk from the slopes which made the (sometimes very tired) walks up in the morning slightly easier ha! Would recommend this course to anyone!

The level 1 & 2 instructor course in Sauze d’Oulx is worth the hype! The training is enjoyable and you feel supported throughout the whole course. It’s non stop fun in Sauze with WE ARE SNO!

I’ve had a great time completing my course with we are sno the course itself was packed with great content and even better instructors. The accommodation was good but could have used some better balancing as some of the flats weren’t as well equipped as others but the amount of skiing was terrific the apres was great too and you’ll meet some people you’ll never forget. Overall wonderful experience with we are sno

The skiing was incredible as were our instructors who were able to improve all of our skiing greatly whilst being fun and dynamic on and off the slopes.
The group that I went with were also super fun and friendly people and were very open and easy to make friends with.
Every week there would be a dinner organised for us all which was a really good way for all of us to chat and catch up.
There were also trips organised to apres bars or 5 a-side football matches, which were amazing and a really fun way to socialise with everyone.
The town of Sauze is also incredible, in the Italian alps with great people, food, bars… Whilst not being stupidly overpriced too. I thoroughly recommend and enjoyed a particular Mexican themed restaurant called Lift.
Overall, incredible experience and I will definitely return to Sauze at some point.

I have currently completed my Level 1 ski instructor course and am working towards my Level 2 in Sauze d’Oulx, Italy.

Booking process:
The booking process was very easy, and the staff were happy to answer any questions we had before we enrolled on the course. From there, the welcome package was informative and provided all the necessary ski information, such as what to bring and what to expect. The only question I had that was not answered was about the accommodation amenities, which was due to them not being sorted yet, so they did not know.

During the course:
The most important part was the skiing progression for the exams, which was very useful. We had eight weeks of training with a group of 15 of us, split into two groups, with each group having an instructor. This allowed us to gain personal insight and advice tailored towards passing the exam. The instructors are very friendly and helpful, with occasional days being taught by the course leader to make sure we were up to the required standard.

Socials:
We had social events at least once a week, such as group meals, sports events, and apres events (subject to what was available in the resort). This was a great way to get to know the group and created a friendly environment on and off the slopes.

Support during the course:
Our programme manager, Aisha, was very helpful as she was always available when we needed her, whether that was for questions about the resort or advice regarding skiing. She also got involved in course activities, which made her feel part of the group. She would join us skiing, allowing us to ask questions or even learn from her skiing. This meant we had many instructors available to help and learn from, as everyone has their own style.

We also had our course lead, Emily, who has lived here her whole life and therefore knows the town extremely well. She could answer any questions we had, and having a local as the course lead was very valuable.

My only negative feedback/final thoughts:
Overall, this course was really worth it, and the company creates plenty of avenues for future work or further training if that is something you are interested in. However, the apartments we stayed in were subject to some disparity. I imagine this was not deliberate, as the company might have struggled to secure four apartments that were identical. However, two apartments were closer to the slopes as well as being nicer themselves.

That being said, all apartments had exactly what you need, such as washing facilities, and at the end of the day you are here to ski and learn, so the apartments are not the main focus. However, it is worth noting.

As I said, overall I would recommend this course as it achieves what you pay for and provides a great social environment. The price initially seemed expensive, however since being on the course and seeing where your money goes, it is apparent it offers good value due to the private instructors, social events, and things you might not initially think of, such as an airport transfer.

I've had a great experience with we are sno. Emily and Nick have made us all feel so welcomed and helped whenever we've had questions. The silverstar snow sports have welcomed everyone with open arms and are a wonderful team to be a part of. Thank you WAS for a great season so far

Absolutely loving the course in Sauze At the moment, Luca, Bea, Emily and Aisha make the whole thing so much better and running everything to the point we simply show up, ski, then off to apres, then do it all again the next day, easily up there in the best seasons I’ve ever done and the team consistently adds to that

Have really enjoyed my time at silver star run by Nick and Emily, they have been fantastic program managers and have been engaging with us in after work activities and making us feel welcome. Having the best time with these guys, great season

I have completed my level 1. At the moment I’m training for my level 2. WE ARE SNO is doing an amazing job in organizing the accommodation, training and exam. It’s a unique experience working in a ski resort. I highly recommend doing a ski season and I recommend WE ARE SNO because it makes it so easy.

Currently out at Red Mountain, having completed my level one, and I am well on the way to level two. Honestly, having the best time out here and it's made all the better with Al managing everything. Al and WAS have nailed the balance of getting us settled in smoothly, while giving us the time and space to explore and do our own thing.

If you're on the fence, just book it; you won't regret it.

I genuinely loved my time at We Are Snow. The whole course was set up perfectly to help bridge the gap between being a trainee and stepping confidently into a ski school environment. From day one, it felt clear that the focus wasn’t just on passing the course, but on preparing us properly for real work in the industry.

Rhys and Martin created such a good overall vibe throughout — supportive, professional, but also relaxed and enjoyable. They made everyone feel really taken care of, which made a huge difference to confidence and progression.

I couldn’t recommend We Are Snow highly enough to anyone looking to develop as an instructor and transition smoothly into ski school life.

Super fun, our group manager was really lovely, and the instructor taught us so much in 10 weeks! I had the best time, skiing everyday and learning from amazing skiers!

Had an amazing time in Zermatt alongside loads of great people including Dave from WeAresno. Very much enjoyed 10 weeks of training and living the life in Zermatt which was all thanks to WeAreSno for putting it all together really bloody well.

We were taught by the top trainers in Zermatt which helped me improve more than i could imagine. Which was more than i could have asked for.

I would highly recommend doing it for the experience and that fact that you get to make some super special memories.

Competed my Lvl 1& working on my Lvl2 at Red Mountain in Canada. This company genuinely cares so much and you’ll be in such safe hands. Our programme Manager, Al, made sure we had everything we needed, including a stocked fridge when we first arrived so ferrying our group to and from the hospital at crazy times in the night… Before heading out I never stressed about the Visa applications as they have so many helpful tips and advice for you, there are connections available to you after you finish the course aswell so if you want to continue instructing, you aren’t left in the dark straight after the course. So glad I chose WeAreSno and you should too!!!!!!!!!!

I have completed my level 1 and I'm currently working towards my level 2 at Red Mountain. We Are Sno have made this experience so incredibly easy. Our program manager Al goes above and beyond and genuinely cares for the instructors and for the program. We have been welcomed by previous members of the program that have enjoyed their experience here so much they have returned. The community, the training and the ski school are wonderful.

I am currently part of the WeAreSno programme in Red Mountain, Canada. My experience from first enquiring to the actual experience itself has been great. Adrian was really accommodating and flexible to my booking requirements such as accommodation and travel, and Al has been a great programme lead out here in Red. It's great to not having to worry about any costs of accommodation or instructor qualifications once out here in Canada! I'd definitely recommend WeAreSno.
