Easy
What made this experience great was how easy it was to let go of a car I loved, that still had much life left in it, but was beyond my capacity to continue repairs.

The receipt process is confusing
The receipt process is confusing. I'm not sure if I have a final receipt or waiting for the car to be sold/disposed of before I get one.

Thank you for your generous vehicle donation. I understand that the receipt process can be confusing, so I'd like to clarify it for you.
Since your vehicle sold for $200, which is less than $500, the receipt you have received is indeed the final receipt. Per IRS guidelines, you are still eligible to deduct the full $500 on your 2024 taxes, even though the vehicle sold for less.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us. We appreciate your support!
