Their salmon is the best. It's the only fish my husband eats. Very healthy, clean, nice portion size. This is my go-to company for Wild Alaska Salmon. With all the problems with other fish, we only buy Wild Alaska Salmon (as recommended by our cardiologist) and we only by from this great company.

ABOVE AND BEYOND!
ABOVE AND BEYOND! There was a snow storm here on the east coast, WildAlaska went above and beyond to personally call me and make sure I knew that my gift may be effected by it! To speak to an actual person running the company who cares so much about each order... that is something that is PRICELESS! I would much rather spend a few extra dollars here and know it is going to a company that fishes in a sustainable way and cares about the environment and their customers. ~If I find that I am in need for some fish for my friends, I will definitely order from them!

Best Salmon Ever
I live in West Texas and cannot get good Pacific Salmon at any of the shores I shop at. This by far the best Salmon I've found so far and it is delivered at my door (in west Texas) flash frozen and fresh. My wife didn't really care for salmon but loves it now !

Great taste, but TONS of bones
The taste of the salmon was fresh and delicious and delivered quickly. I've lived in Alaska before and love the salmon. This particular batch of salmon was filled with TONS. Don't get me wrong I've had bones in salmon before and understand that it happens, but there were just way too many and won't be ordering in the future.

We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with our salmon due to the amount of bones. Pin bones can certainly be obnoxious. The reason our salmon has pin bones, is because we process and freeze our fish before they can be mechanically removed. We have chosen this route because we can preserve the quality of the salmon. Removing them can be done with either pliers or tweezers, and a rule of thumb we like to follow when eating salmon is to eat from top to bottom, not side to side (or eat from north to south, not east to west). By approaching the fillet this way, you will always run into the line of pin bones and can pull them aside. If you want to avoid pin bones all together, we recommend ordering the portion fillets and specifying you would like tail pieces. These pieces should contain little to no bones. We hope you will give our salmon another try with this new information.
Average at best
I purchased 25 lbs of your sockeye salmon and found it to be average at best. The salmon was water logged and lacked taste. I am debating whether to try you again......Disappointing!

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy the sockeye salmon. Have you considered trying the other species we catch? King or Keta salmon are great options. We hope you will consider trying the other species and finding one that matches the flavor and texture you are looking for in wild caught salmon.

Was An OK Experience
I generally get fresh fish around the corner at Seafood Store that I have been going to for years. King Salmon is seasonal so figured would give this a shot. Wild King Salmon is expensive but the texture and fattiness make it an amazing Salmon to eat. The Salmon from Wild Alaska didn't seem to have the fattiness within the fish that makes it so enjoyable to me. It was good, but just not what I expected and get from my local fish store when it is in season.

We could not agree more, the flavor and texture of king salmon is what makes it so revered but we are sorry to hear that you found our wild king salmon to lack the fattiness that you are accustomed to. As you aware, wild salmon are unique and some fish may contain more fat over others. If you do decide to try our king salmon again, please make a remark that you would prefer center cuts over tail pieces. The center cuts typically contain more fat. Great frozen salmon!
We first discovered Wild Alaska Salmon and Seafood at our local Krogers. Then all of a sudden they "improved" (?) the stores and no longer carried it. Having been hooked (pun intended) I drove 45 miles to another town and a bigger Krogers. Eventually it disappeared from their freezer as well. I tried to special order it from them, but to no avail.
In desperation I located the WASS website and placed an order. The universe is in balance once again. They are some of the most courteous, helpful, and understanding people I have ever dealt with online. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Their salmon is the best!!!

Great product, reasonable price and on time delivery
I've purchased from Wild Alaska Salmon multiple times. The wild caught salmon is packed and sealed and arrives as expected. It is a reasonable price for truly wild caught salmon which is the only healthy salmon to eat.
