Beware
Beware, I was in communication with this "business" for a few months. We came into contact on Facebook and I had concerns based on meeting online. I expressed my concerns multiple times over the course of a few months and ultimately still could not verify them enough to feel comfortable with them. They had seemingly 0 reviews on both Facebook and Google at the time I looked despite the opening line of their websites Google description stating "Woodcreek Publishers is the #1 book publishing company in the USA", I could not find them registered as a business in California nor as a DBA/FBN in their local county of LA. The building their Google comes back to has no signs indicating there is a business by this name there and is just a generic office building with apparently a few businesses inside. The gentleman I dealt with was very hostile when I finally just told him to send me something that would show me they were a business through a 3rd party government source. (I own a small business I can provide multiple incredibly easily). His response (instead of giving me anything helpful) was to ask if I expected to receive a 50% ownership share of the business as well. If this is a real company (which they seem unable to prove they are) then I would be embarrassed to have someone like that representing my book, God forbid marketing. If a company cannot even convince you they exist how will they convince someone to buy your book. It's your book and your call but I would tread carefully.
