Empty Box Scam

Purchased a product through Amazon from them. All I received was an empty box (with the exception of a strange letter).

The letter states they are a legitimate company and some nonsense about a red flag. No other effort was made to reach out.

Edit: WowBoxMe has now tried to shift this review to another company, despite knowingly receiving the same complaint via Amazon.

There is no need to ship a letter; it is customary for a seller to reach out via Amazon, email or phone if there is an issue.

Fortunately, Amazon issued a refund. A report was also made to the Consumer Advice Service, which will make a report with Trading Standards.

Thank you for your review we’re truly sorry for the confusion and frustration caused.

To clarify a few things: your order was placed through Amazon, which automatically hides all customer contact details (including your email and phone number), so we weren’t able to reach out to you directly. That’s why you received a letter instead, it explained that once you got in touch with us, we’d be able to safely fulfill your order. This process is fully approved by Amazon and was introduced to help protect customers and sellers due to an increase in scam-related issues affecting the platform.

We understand receiving a letter instead of the expected product can be confusing but, please know it was done with your safety in mind, not as a way to avoid responsibility. We only send the actual product after confirmation to ensure it reaches the correct person.

Regarding the review flag: we didn’t remove it to avoid feedback. The review was initially posted on our subscription site (WOWBOXMe), which is separate from the Amazon side of our business. Since your order wasn’t a subscription, we moved the review to the correct location to make sure it’s addressed appropriately not to dismiss your concerns.

We're a legitimate business, and we’re happy to resolve this properly. If you’re still open to it, please reach out with your order number so we can assist you directly.

Great subscription service to be part…

Great subscription service to be part of. regular as clockwork the box arrives with new and exciting products to trial. when i have had technical queries on how to fill out the survey Temi who heads up the marketing has been really helpful as i am not tec savvy, it is a great team at WOWBOX i look forward to more boxes in the future, I would really recommend any subscriber to fill out the survey as it helps not only WOWBOX but also the suppliers with how we feel about their products.

Massive scam

Massive scam. I ordered Tetley 1100 on Amazon and all I got is a letter saying its a scam. Contacted amazon and they said we can not do anything.

I purchased 192 bottles of Evian water…

I purchased 192 bottles of Evian water on the 16th June 2025 through Amazon from this company for my brother's funeral reception on the 18th June and all I received was a small empty box no water!! I have made contact with the seller regarding this matter and a refund. Sent pictures as asked by the seller and I have not received a response. I feel like I have been scammed by this company and Amazon as I paid over £130 pounds and received no goods. Would not recommend this company at all!!

Order never arrived and was replaced by…

Order never arrived and was replaced by broken biscuits. I called all I got was no help in this matter. Avoid this company, Use a different company when ordering stuff. Now my review has been flagged as defamatory by Wowboxme
I'm just giving an honest review and response to my experience with this company. Now they are saying I became aggressive, also for the photos look at Google reviews. Replacement??? That surely can't be the replacement, not even the total value of my order. I'm still waiting on my refund let's get that processed. Update on my refund I never received it from this company still waiting

Thank you for sharing your feedback — we're sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction, and we appreciate you taking the time to provide images to support your concerns.

To clarify, your original order could not be fulfilled due to an unexpected supplier stock issue. As a result, we issued a full refund and also sent a complimentary replacement as a gesture of goodwill.

We understand that the replacement arrived in poor condition, and we've seen the images you attached. However, the damage appears to have occurred during courier transit, which is unfortunately beyond our direct control. We always package items securely, but once in the hands of the delivery service, handling is not something we can influence. That said, we were still willing to assist and follow up.

We also want to address the communication aspect. Our team made a sincere effort to resolve this issue with you, but the conversation became challenging due to aggressive language and shouting. We’re always here to help and treat every customer with respect — and we ask for the same in return so we can effectively reach a solution.

Lastly, regarding your review being flagged: we only report content when it includes statements that could be considered misleading or defamatory under platform guidelines. We do not aim to silence genuine experiences, and we’re sorry you feel that way.

We hope this clears up any confusion, and again, we regret that your experience didn’t meet expectations — despite our efforts to resolve it fairly.

Joined wow box was great at first then…

Joined wow box was great at first then I needed to change by payment details but was unable online.
Phoned on 7 occasions no answer then when they did answer 3 weeks later I told the lady I wanted to change payment details so she took my name then hung up on me.
Never been able to get in touch since ive sent 5 emails and none have been responded to and no longer receive boxes.
So I wouldn't recommend on a customer service level

I’m impressed

I was subscribed years ago and was disappointed back then. However I recently decided to give them a second chance and it has definitely improved in every way. The customer service when I needed it was great. The product options have definitely got a lot better. The delivery is the biggest one I wanted to improve and that is great now. So overall, WowBoxMe, you’re doing a great job and I will continue to subscribe.

Purchased via amazon had 2 issue a refùnd due 2 them failing to deliver the item they use 3rd party delivery company named evri who ever this may be fake name no doubt there scamming people 4 money but dont deliver the so say goods i hope legal action gets the better of u do not trust and give any money 2 this company u will have issue getting your money back avoid these scammers at all cost how can u loose a customers order in transit you shouldnt be able use amazon as a primiary selling hub u scammers have no shame in what u do and 2 scam on a open platform and market is a disgrace 2 the community

Lost box and no response or refund or replacement

Ive tried contacting them in numerous occasions as my last box disappeared from my doorstop i contacted amazon and they said I had to contact wowbox so they could start the refund or replacement box amd have not heard back very frustrating amd annoying if you would like to contact me when you read this review
