Easy to deal with when you get the right person ie English spoken.Not being mean but it is hard to understand some people,they know their job but I find it hard to understand them sorry.

Cost of high car insurance keeps going up and up each year and no insurance company is doing anything about. I am on the road since 2004 and in that space of time I've had no penalty points on my licence and yet the insurance is rising all the. Ireland has the highest car insurance premiums in the world. Government and insurance companies need to do something about the rising cost of insurance, otherwise more and more people are just going to keep driving their cars without having insurance.

I purchased a new vehicle on the 20/01/26. I switched my insurance from my previous policy to the new vehicle. 9 weeks later I still have not received my insurance disc. I haven't even been issued a temporary disc. In 25 years of driving i have never before driven without an Insurance disk. 123 ie Email me weekly to extend my cover. Update 22.03 2026 I requested a call back back from 123.ie via their email provided. The message was not sent . I will now proceed to lodge a formal complaint to the Insurance Ombudsmans office tomorrow Monday. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour by 123 ie. They are not fit for purpose and should be shut down.

My partner and I went with this insurance company. I had been with them for years. He had also used them for other insurance reasons as well. You think excellent, loyal customers but they clearly don't care about people. Last year we had a medical emergency abroad. It was very scary. Rushed to A&E in another country, and we are supposed to be enjoying ourselves on holiday. The excruciating pain and fear we do not want to experience ever again. If we hadn't of been seen to when we were, it would have been life threatening. Our holiday was cut short, due to these complications. We had to rearrange things at our own expense. So when we got home we thought our insurance would come to the rescue, as we have never claimed €1 from them. After paying for doctors reports, hours of collating receipts, filling out forms and waiting weeks; they used a loop hole in their lovely policy to get out of paying up. Absolute and utter crooks! No one orchestrates a life and death situation just to get a few euros. Avoid and stay away. They don't care. They make sure their long policy covers them not to pay at every turn. We have both cancelled our policies.

My name is charif mecharbet, i had a policy number with 123 ireland , i pied 311 euro deposit , with my revolut bank ,
One day I received that my policy is cancelled before one day ( 12 hours after that I received that cancellation email . ) if garda catch me without insurance car , who pay that .
I had three policy numbers before that , this company 123 have my bank details, have my profile.
Till now I didn't receive my money back .
Be careful with this company.
U will have problems .
And I already send my bank details not one time a lot of times .
Easy to take money from bank account and not easy to send it to me back to same account .
Bad management, and don't tell me email me , i already call and send a lot of email.
