My financial adviser moved to 7IM and ever since it has taken longer and longer to withdraw money. I requested a withdrawal four weeks ago, signed the usual paperwork and have been chasing them for over a week for a progress report. Finally today they have sent me yet another form to sign and apparently it will take another 10 days (no doubt working days) to pay me the money. So six weeks. This is not acceptable.

I have been with 7IM for many years. I find the personal and tailored approach helpful and my investments have done well (it’s a long term strategy)
If you are medical they are great at predicting NHS pension stuff.
My advisor is Cameron Bone and he has always been a helpful guide to navigate the financial markets that baffle me.
I have withdrawn sums at times with no issues and am now adding a pension to my investments

Having been a 7IM customer over the last 10 or so years I decided to move provider to get a better return and this is where the problems started. They make it incredibly difficult to withdraw your funds coming up with ever more inventive reasons to not make the transfer - the latest one is wait a week or so then ask for the request on headed paper. Then wait another week and say you need to put your postcode on it - it goes on and on for over a month now! Totally ridiculous and feels like a well practiced approach. Have now needed to raise a complaint with the ombudsman to get my own money back. Avoid
I have been waiting for over a month and they cannot tell me cost of fees and charges. I questions as to whether they have a clue about what is going on in their organisation. Very disconcerting that these people are managing my money. Someone like Vanguard can tell you in 5 seconds. Stay away.

Total lack of communication. Both ignoring my SIPP provider and financial advisors company for over a week now. I’ve called and emailed myself. You just get an answer machine and don’t get to speak to people in the “transfers” department. Presumably people do actually work there…
I recently retired and sold my successful business which was along with a modest SIPP were my only assets. I’ve always had a healthy mistrust of banks and IFA’s. I knew I needed to swallow my pride and seek financial guidance to manage my money for the my retirement. I spoke to several wealth management firms and 7iM were clear winners for me. They prefer to meet you face to face especially at the onset and treat you as an individual not just another client - no hard sell. They listen to your fears, aspirations and needs and produce solutions based on those individual criteria and not just fit you into a corporate model. I have dealt mainly with Louise Court but also David Little and they both had to work hard to gain my trust. Louise keeps in regular contact and we will be coming up to a review soon but so far I am now relaxed rather than fearful.
The team at 7IM has looked after our money for over 20 years. They have always dealt with my wife and I in a courteous and professional manner. They take the utmost care in making sure that we both understand the risk profile of the portfolio. Communication with us is regular and we are able to call the team with any questions. We would happily recommend their services to anyone seeking a managed discretionary investment portfolio.

My wife and I have been with 7IM for over 10 years
The two key aspects of this relationship are: personal contact; and performance. Our client director is Louise Court who has become as much a friend as an advisor. Crucially she understands our family's circumstances and aims, which change over the years, and provides good relevant advice. And she is always ready and available to answer questions. The webinars and other articles are informative and the performance is steady. The back office has been slow at times but this is improving. Overall we feel secure and comfortable with 7IM. And that is important.

I have been a client for the past 4 years having sold my business. Avoid!
Trying to finalise payouts following probate for deceased relative, should have been all complete in October. Advised there is no consistency or clear processes, keep changing what information is needed and providing vague answers to the Financial Advisors. Refusing to have a call with the Financial advisors to give clear instructions, next steps and timelines! Complaint raised direct too and taking legal advice.

Very helpful phone service. Kye who answered by call was able to answer all my questions and kindly offered to take my query further on his side. Couldn't fault the approach, if only all platforms were as easy to contact!
So where to begin. As an adviser I have been using them for clients for some time. Their platform service has slowly gone down hill.
It’s really disappointing as an adviser because you do research before recommending a platform. But that only goes so far. You also have to go by the word of their development managers. The platform continuously make mistakes, from admin to incorrect charging of client accounts. Just one mistake after another. It reflects badly on us as advisers. To make matters worse, the transitions team don’t answer the phone and cut you off and the business development team and platform support managers don’t answer the phone.
Sadly, from my point of view as an adviser I will not recommend 7IM to any more of my clients. I’m fact I will be moving clients away from them.

Nothing I detest more than companies who do not respond to email requests and/or leave you hanging on the phone rather than volunteering to call you back. Frankly not impressed with their lack of courtesy and indifference.

My wife and I have been clients since 2017 and we have found 7IM to provide a straightforward and clear collection of funds which - together with their advice and guidance - can be structured to maintain a suitable and easy to track set of investments that fit our family needs. We have had very mixed experience in the past with various financial advisors and institutions and have found the 7IM experience to be the best by far. In particular we have found them to be particularly communicative, transparent, and aware of our personal circumstances and investment goals.

Been with 7IM since 2013, an extremely financially turbulent decade! Although I opted for a cautious investment profile I am still pleasantly surprised at the outcome through this difficult period.
I have found the fund managers to be pro-active patient & courteous taking as much time as necessary to explain and advise on what can be complicated for the layman to understand!
