Holding my deposit hostage over an honest review
14/7/26 UPDATE: After contacting company representatives last week hoping for a fair resolution, the situation grew worse. The business explicitly told me they would only refund my money if I pulled down this review first. This was done over the phone. I refused to be pressured into removing an honest account of my consumer experience just to get my own funds back. I have formally requested a copy of any agreement I signed stating this deposit was non-refundable, but they cannot provide one because it does not exist. Instead of doing the right thing, they are forcing me to waste time and pay to take them to the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal. This is no longer just about the money; it is entirely about the principle of how they treat customers. Avoid at all costs.
8/7/26 Very disappointing experience. I paid a deposit after being assured the vehicle was suitable, but when I decided not to proceed, the dealer refused to return any of my deposit despite there being no written agreement explaining it was non-refundable.
Communication after that was poor, and there was no willingness to find a fair resolution. I feel the way this was handled was unreasonable and not customer-focused.
I would strongly recommend that anyone dealing with this business gets absolutely everything in writing before paying a deposit and fully understands the refund policy. Based on my experience, I won’t be dealing with them again.
