I am sharing this because I believe members deserve transparency about how health concerns are handled at Acac shortpump
I tried to freeze my account before traveling out of the country, but it took a long time for anyone to respond. That was the first red flag.
More importantly, I had been working with one of the gym’s personal trainers to rehab my shoulder, since I couldn’t lift it properly. Instead of focusing on my shoulder, he decided to work on my lower back — even though I mentioned I already had a pinched nerve and no back pain. After following his program, my lower back would go into severe spasms every week, leaving me unable to move for 3–4 days at a time. I was told this was “normal,” but it clearly wasn’t.
I have medical documentation showing that these workouts worsened my condition. When I raised these concerns and explained the pain I was in, I was told to stop physical therapy, and soon after, my gym account was canceled without any resolution or follow-up.
This experience has caused lasting physical pain and impacted my ability to work. I trusted the trainer to help me heal, but instead I’m now dealing with both shoulder and back issues. I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this is about my health and how poorly the situation was handled.
I hope management takes accountability and improves how they handle members’ health-related concerns in the future
