I can't express how much I love Acting Academy. I am an American actress that always wanted to go to an English acting school, and now I can learning all types of different acting style with this online school. Mark Pegg is a fantastic Instructor and gives amazing feedback on your work. I can balance my work schedule and still be in the zone with my learning. I work professionally in acting with stage performances and film. I still find things I don't know fully and I'm so glad I am student through this!

Unauthorised payments

I cancelled this service after it never working, they continued to charge me for over £150 worth after cancelling and only when I went and disputed the payments with the bank did they finally get back in touch with me. They promised to fully refund me for my over payments however I have had no response from them in weeks, I have called and emailed to get a response and I have gotten nowhere. Do not trust unless you’re wanting to be robed of money without any communication.

I’ve been with the Acting Academy for a few years now, and have loved every minute. Had to take a few breaks due to life getting in the way! My confidence has increased massively during this time and I am now on Spotlight and have an agent. I love attending the workshops, when I can, whether they are in London or Manchester and the zoom workshops are great. Mark and all the tutors are so helpful and supportive and I’m looking forward to taking my LAMDA exams next year, with support from Mark.

I cancelled this membership as soon as I saw a renewal charge pending, but the cancellation option they claim exists in “My Account” does not exist in reality (I have screenshots). Their FAQ also contains no cancellation instructions. The only way to cancel was to email and wait 4 days for them to send me a hidden link — by which time they had already taken the money.

When I asked for a refund, they refused, despite the payment still being pending when I first contacted them. Any reputable company would have refunded £79 without hesitation. Instead, they sent legal-style threats about “defamation” for leaving negative feedback.

This feels like a classic subscription trap: hard to leave, fast to charge. I am disputing the transaction with my bank and reporting them to Trading Standards. Proceed with caution.

It was very good experience. I absolutely recommend Acting academy.All their teachers are wonderful! I have been for a while here and I grew personally as an actress and with their help I established my position in the performing industry. Their advice and classes are invaluable. Thank you !

I’m not quite sure how we stumbled upon the Acting Academy but I’m so glad we have. Exceptional!! Given my 14 year old daughter a chance at fulfilling her dream. I’ve been with the Acting Academy for a while now, and I am very happy with everything so far. The lessons, exercises, and challenges are truly worth it. The feedback I receive on the challenges has helped me learn a lot, and I now have a better understanding of what to do and how to improve. I want to be muscular before I act a film

Acting Academy has been even better than drama school 25 years ago for me. Practical teaching from Mark and his incredible team. I have seriously made more progress in my career than ever before due to the amazing online lessons and weekend workshops.

Joining the Acting Academy is one of the best online Training experiences. I have found the workload manageable, but I see the benefits in revisiting lessons to better understand as a new acting student. The one-to-one tutorials are beneficial and your needs are answered and constructive. I found that allocating time each day to complete practical exercises, was easy to manage but as it is a home study online course you have to be disciplined to achieve the goals. I would like to be able to attend in-person workshops but living outside of the UK makes that difficult. However, I found the time I attended an opportunity I got to know some of the students as well as Mark the principal of the acting academy and that made a big difference when attending online Zoom sessions. I would recommend anyone with a real dream that you have or want to reconnect with that you take this training. I have and am continuing to enjoy fulfilling a dream that I thought was lost. They are never lost just on hold.

Mark and the rest of the Acting Academy Team make learning an enjoyable experience. Their supportive and nurturing Zoom and Inperson Workshops a joy to take part in. Encouraging you to push yourself further than you thought you might be capable of.

Great experience so far. Teachers are helpful and constructive. Lessons are clear and simple. Fellow students are supportive, making for a great learning environment. Highly recommendable!
