Adverts.ie Avis 

Have used adverts successfully for quite some time but now there seem to be little to no free bumps (even though their website states you should get on every 30 days - I got 4 on 42 ads in a month!) This means your ads fall down the priority quickly and nothing sells. Moving to fb marketplace as they offer weekly bumps.

Really disappointed with Adverts. Paid for an item which I never received. Left a negative review if the seller which they were able to remove??!! How is this possible?! Also, there's no way of me getting my money back so my advice is to avoid this site

Be been a regular user of adverts for a while now. Never given anyone a bad experience and never have I been given a bad feed back. But yet adverts disabled my account and refuse to respond to my emails asking them why they did it. They gave me no reason as to why and are too cowardly to respond to me. Absolutely horrible website and I recommend you avoid

Adverts used to be well moderated. No more.

There's numerous posts that now breach the site's own rules and if you report them, nothing happens. Simple examples include:

- posting multiple ads for the same product
- not posting a real price and using the site like eBay (including ads that openly say, "highest bidder wins"

and worst of all

- knowingly hosting stolen goods

When I reported stolen property what I got in response was aggressive sarcasm from a mod. When I tried to email the company directly I discovered - guess what - their email addresses are all dead. So support@adverts and help@adverts - dead.

The company USED to care about protecting buyers and sellers, but now - clearly - it's the wild west like Done Deal.

I can no longer in good faith use the site or recommend it to others. Caveat emptor - you can easily be buying stolen goods.

I have alerted staff on probably 20 occasions about rule breaches and only once in the last few months received a response. All ads that breached the rules stayed up.

What's the point of rules when everyone knows they aren't enforced?

I've been a member for 12 years, but no more.

Can't understand why there's so many negative reviews. I've done over 100 deals - all good. Yes, there are fools using the site, but you learn how to spot them after a while. When I did have a problem, it was handled efficiently by Eddie. The service is free. Unless something drastic happens, I'll continue to use the site.

I got scammed on adverts and they don't even answering my emails.

safest place to buy and sell in Ireland for those with common sense, lots of scams out there in general and this is the only site with some real safety: feedback score. I bought almost everything last 5 years from here ,better quality products for half price than large retail shops. try to buy from sellers with 10+ good feedback or at least phone verified, avoid obvious scammers commenting 30+ ads on the day signing up

Adverts is a safe place to buy and sell if you don't do daft stuff like send money to sellers with 0 feedback or post items without receiving payments. I had a couple of issues with Adverts but as a trading platform I enjoy it. The site gets good traffic and it's easy to navigate well done to the adverts team.

Do not believe all that you see on Adverts.ie - related to reviews! The adverts team is deleting negative feedback as they wish, so the site is not quite reliable. I just had a crazy situation with someone who was trying to scam me by asking me to send bank accounts, asking me to deliver to some strange locations, and was an absolute wasting time user - after 2 weeks, coming up with all sorts of excuses she can not collect! Left her negative feedback, just to see after 1 day, the Adverts team deleted it!

Adverts.ie is full of criminality, The site refuses to deal massive amounts of fraud with & allows this to continue now for years with no help to victims.
We got zero help after being robbed on site.

The site was great years ago but Adverts.ie has become a money grabbing exercise for the site owners. I've moved to ebay.ie & while there are fees I'm now selling approximately 20-25 more items there than I currently do on Adverts.ie. Time to close down the Adverts account now as it's no longer worth the effort of maintaining it. Removed free bumps, increased fees. You've destroyed the golden goose you had. Site traffic will plummet, if it already hasn't.

This is a site for thieves. They take no responsibility for buyers who get ripped off. Avoid as there are a lot of very unsavoury, dishonest, thieves on Adverts.ie.

You can't advertise event tickets at the price you want. They can't be over face value.

As far as I'm concerned, I can sell whatever I want at what ever price I want. That's my perogative, not there's.

Nobody has to buy whatever I'm selling or make an offer. They are not forced to buy whatever I'm selling.

Terrible rule on their site.

Fair play to Adverts. I realised that after over a decade using Adverts, the email I have registered is one I lost access to ages ago. I emailed the support desk and Ray had me sorted inside 20 minutes. Where would you get service like it? Adverts is always my go to place to sell.

I am using adverts for probably about 5 years now. Amazing service quality. I sell everything quickly, if an item is not sold for too long, it's only because of the inaccurate valuation people (you want too much for something)!

company supports only those who bring more money, if you was scammed by someone and they have more feedback then you , you done bye bye hard earned cash, forget about any sort of help ..ZERO..also if you leave feedback for someone who practically stole money from you they just remove it once seller reports it…again couse they have 300 feedback andyou close to 100 so who must be right, lol what a joke avoid at any costs, and never recommend to anyone as they will regret too, all you need is read all this feedback here and you will realise what sorta company you are dealing with….WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I HAD, you all just go to Donedeal and forget your problems all together, difference like a day and night…again do your self a favour and save your money

They actively support scammers. I linked to them to 14 profiles who are the same person threatening me and then William blocked my account. ALL the other scammer accounts still there with hundreds of fake feedback. Avoid like the plague.

I saw an Apple Mac Pro tower for sale by 'Blakes7Fan'. He offered to deliver the computer, I never asked him to do this.
He led me to believe that the computer came with a perpetual licence to Adobe CC.
Wow, the price was worth it just for that alone.
When he left, I opened the computer and discovered there were two Hard Drive bays missing. The WiFi hardware had been removed, €200 to replace. No internet.

Which it turns out is actually only a copy of Photoshop from 2008.
I contacted him through this site, as I realised he had never given me any way of contacting him. Which in hindsight, was a red flag.
I asked him to take the computer back and return my cash. He offered to send me an ethernet cable.
I said, no I just want the cash back.
HE BLOCKED ME.
So do not trust this seller Blakes7Fan, Ballymount, Dublin 12.
As for the administration of Adverts.ie, when I complained to them, they said it was nothing to do with them.
When I complained further, the deleted my account with no warning.

Was once a great site, but nowadays awful. I/we have had both personal and business & accounts with Adverts for years, but for the past 3 or 4 years it has been very poor. For instance, a week before Xmas 2019 our business account was suddenly closed. Reason given was we were behind in our account payments, even though they had always been paid as soon as the bill came. I had to pay them with my credit card to get it back up, then deal with their accts. dept. Turns out that that dept. hadn't credited our payments to our account, and it became up to ME to prove payment, not them. Then I had to FIGHT with them to get my credit card payment refunded. I'm still waiting for the requested apology for that one. Good thing I'm not holding my breath....
Now they've put in place a system whereby if you don't bump your ad within 30+10 days you have to pay for the bump. This was done without warning, and done retroactively, so, on the day it was announced, if you had any ads that were over 40 days you had to pay to bump them. We have 200+ ads on our business page, so the first week this was €90..... we don't make enough money from Adverts to justify this, so, our time there is coming to an end, we can't afford to have it cost money, and the few sales there doesn't justify the hassle of having to bump ads every single day.
On my own personal page on Adverts, it's the same story. I might add here that our business page has 100% positive feedback, and my personal page has 479 positives and 0% negative feedback, and we have been with Adverts for 10+ years.
I can get past the low-ballers and chancers that seem to be everywhere on Adverts, and there are a lot of long-term lovely people on the site, but Adverts seem to be hell-bent on alienating their best and most reliable customers. When we email them with our concerns, the gist of their replies is "that's the way it is, deal with it".
Yup, go ahead, ruin your business...... as I've pointed out to Jenny & Jack, when we leave this time we won't be back.....
