Awful customer service. Told me they would be 20 minutes, 1 hour at 20 minutes after they then turned up. Was very rude and when it came to paying he then decided to tell us that the machine was broken. Called customer service after and they just shrugged me off. Don’t order a taxi from here

If thete was 0 stars I'd pick it booked 2 taxis well in advance for a 1.15 pick up for a wedding 1st taxi turned up half an hour late the 2nd 40 mins late after several calls , booked a return pick up for 2 cars for 11pm 1st one turned up OK but 2nd one turned up 40 mins late after several calls again . You shouldn't be taking bookings if you can fulfill what we have booked disgusting service

I booked an 8 seater car one week ago to meet my wife and kids from Singapore
The pick up was Heathrow T2 to Crawley
They cancelled 12 hours before the arrival of the flight leaving me stranded.
I had to book EXCEL who have been amazingly helpful.
Apha are a bunch of amateurs and liars
Never use them ever!!

Do not use them if your onward journey depends on it, driver was 37 minutes late, we missed our intended train and thank god we planned in plenty buffer or our trip would have been ruined, no apology from the driver when arrived but he wasn't rude either

Great service, fast work. Overall good experience

The fare initial calculation provided via app was 33% lower than actual cost. Taxi was on time and driver was really polite but I was shocked when he told me the price of the service.
Warning ! Driver prefers cash payment due to long wait for a money transfer from their company.

I used Alpha cars last week to take me 5 minutes down the road. When we got there I was charged £25.00. I asked why it was that much and he informed that they were from Basingstoke! I told him he had only brought me 5 minutes down the road. When I ordered them they should have made me aware of the cost and that they charge from where they are from and not just from pick-up point to drop off point

Awful. Worst cab company ever.

Had a cab booked, to bring 4 teenagers home from a party. Confirmed twice throughout the day. After 30 mins after the time they were supposed to arrive, they said they had no drivers available. We had to urgently make other arrangements. Terrible company, do not trust.

Read the reviews but still held out hope that the taxi I booked online would arrive as arranged. I took the time to call Alpha and check the booking was definitely confirmed, explaining we were 4 ladies all travelling after midnight.
30 minutes before the booking I received a brief text message saying "there is nothing in your area". Not even a relevant message stating it was from the taxi company!
My advice is to book elsewhere!

Taxi booked well in advance. Phoned to check confirm beforehand and was assured a car would be there. 30 mins before journey a text was received cancelling the service. Appalling. Do not use.

Booked a taxi twice overcharged twice emailed complaints dep 4 times no reply terrible company

AWFUL. They never show up, they cancel just before they should be arriving so you have no time to make another arrangement.

AVOID

Booked taxi in the afternoon (online) for a pick up at 11.30pm from a friends house in a quite village. Never turned up. I called them after waiting 25 mins and was told it’s 20 minutes away. Called again as still didn’t turn up and was told it will be another 20 minutes and he’ll try and get the driver their quicker. Still no taxi. Tried calling another couple of companies but couldn’t get a taxi at that time. Called again at 12.55am, but no answer. Tried again using my partners mobile and they picked up, only to be told they are very busy and only dealing with pre bookings (which mine was). I said you’ve left me standing here for an hour and a half but it didn’t seem to matter to them. Why take my booking in the first place and keep lying saying my cab with be 20 minutes when they had no intention of sending a taxi! They left us miles from home at that time of night. They never ever turned up after ringing three times. They seem to pick and chose who they want to pick up and don’t like to come out to more quieter villages (one taxi driver once admitted they will only pick up from further afield villages if they have a drop off near by - so what if there’s no drop off’s near by, you won’t get picked up?). I’ve had this problem before but gave them the benefit of the doubt. But from now on I will never use this company again! So unreliable!

Fuming, booked a cab, done 67 push ups whilst waiting, cab no show, she’s got the needle. Payed brother in law to come get us, shadowboxed with the mrs whilst waiting, she caught me on the chin, livid. Taking 4 weetabix with hot milk to bed, safe.

After booking on the app a trip that was below £10 and a driver being assigned, the driver advised in the cab that there was a minimum spend of £10 that had to be paid in cash only and in advance. So my friends had to get out and walk home in a storm. This is a disgrace and they are a cowboy firm, well known for not turning up but this was something else.

Never turn up !! Never call to tell you they are not on time. Even when you book to go to Gatwick. Do not use !

Pre- booked. Quote was £42. Company cancelled via message. We phoned and rebooked. Taxi kept calling when we landed, but no one spoke or we couldn't understand what was being said. Basically waited one hour at Luton for driver to arrive. The driver kept saying our flight was late, which it was, 20 minutes. But we had allowed an hour to get through passport control so were on time for taxi. Driver charged us £50 plus £5 parking - because of hour wait. But it was US Waiting!!!

We had a taxi to take us to a restuarant which was under a mile away when we arrived the charge was £8.00 for the two of us when i queried it i was told all prices as gone up because of fuel costs.
I understand that fuel is now expensive but it does not warrant that price. completey ripped off so watch out get a price first, and for the record we got a taxi back form the same place we were dropped at and it was £4.00

Shocking

Left me and my wife st Polo Club in middle of nowhere with zero notice from a booking made 3 days prior. I have reported them to trading standards and followed their response on how to address this with Alpha Cars. Let's see if they bother to respond or I have to take it further to small claims court. Happy to go all the way with this if needed. Can't see how you can strand people in middle of nowhere without notice. Disgusting.

I have now.successfully won a small claims court against the company and lodged a CCJ but no response. Just shows the class of company they are.
